  • Patent number: 9697268
Abstract: A bulk data distribution system in which, instead of multiple data consumers contending to access the same data sets from a primary data store, one or more producers capture snapshots (states of the data sets at particular points in time) and upload the snapshots to an intermediate data store for access by snapshot consumers. The snapshot consumers may download the snapshots to generate local versions of the data sets for access by one or more data processing applications or processes. A snapshot producer may periodically generate full snapshots of a data set, and may generate one or more incremental snapshots of the data set between full snapshots. A snapshot consumer may bootstrap a local data set from a full snapshot and one or more incrementals, and may maintain state of the local data set by accessing new snapshots uploaded by the producer.

  • Patent number: 9491217
Abstract: A VC (video conferencing) device for a VC system comprises a first and a second electronic device including an input module. The VC device comprises a communication module and a processing module. The communication module is electrically connected to the processing module. The communication module is communicating with the first and the second electronic device. The communication module broadcasts a background image to the second electronic device when receiving it from the first electronic device and receiving the writing image from the first and the second electronic device. When receiving the writing image, the processing module superimposes the writing image with the background image to produce a synthesized image. The communication module broadcasts the synthesized image, so that the synthesized image is displayed on the first and second electronic device simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 9247483
Abstract: A method and a system for data traffic offload are provided. The method includes the following steps. Create a local tunnel between a first base station and a second base station according to a first record and/or a second record. The first base station and the second base station are located on a front-end network. The first record corresponds to a first user equipment and the first base station. The second record corresponds to a second user equipment and the second base station. Route network packets transmitted between the first user equipment and the second user equipment via the local tunnel.

  • Patent number: 9197444
Abstract: A selection method for transmitting network packets adapted to be executed by a multiple-interface network device is provided. The multiple-interface network device includes a plurality of network interfaces. Each of the network interfaces connects to one of multiple communication networks. The selection method includes the following steps: collecting a transmission status of each of the communication networks; analyzing transmission characteristics of a predetermined number of packets of a service flow to determine a traffic pattern type of the service flow; comparing the transmission status of each of the communication networks with the transmission requirements of the traffic pattern type of the service flow to select one of the network interfaces, and using the selected network interface to transmit packets of the service flow. The service flow is constituted by packets transmitted by the network interfaces through a port and packets received by the network interfaces through the same port.

  • Publication number: 20150324806
Abstract: A user of a personal computing device may identify an item of interest displayed in a user interface provided by a network-based service and would like to obtain more information. The user may submit one or more electronic contact requests to a contact service in communication with a contact distribution system in order to obtain more information. The contact distribution system determines accurate, real-time availability of service agents and enables communications between the customer and an agent to be established in accordance with user contact information provided by the user.

  • Patent number: 9137661
Abstract: An authentication method for user equipment (UE) and LIPA network entities is applicable to a cross-LIPA communication environment having an UE end, a visiting LIPA network entity end (LIPAV), and a home LIPA network entity end (LIPAH). The UE end successfully registers to a core network (CN) via the LIPAV, thereby attaining mutual trust relationship between the UE end and the LIPAV. The UE end successfully registers to the CN via the LIPAH, thereby attaining mutual trust relationship between the UE end and the LIPAH. The LIPAH requests the UE end via the LIPAV for successfully re-authenticating the CN, thereby attaining mutual trust relationship between the LIPAV and the LIPAH.
