Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) for logical channel (LCH) configuration in small data transmission (SDT) are provided. The method includes: receiving, from a base station (BS), a radio resource control (RRC) release message; determining whether the RRC release message includes a specific configuration, the specific configuration including an SDT configuration and an SDT-specific LCH configuration; transitioning to an RRC_INACTIVE state after determining that the RRC release message includes the specific configuration; initiating an SDT procedure based on the SDT configuration when the UE is in the RRC_INACTIVE state; and applying at least one LCH restriction parameter included in the SDT-specific LCH configuration for a Logical Channel Prioritization (LCP) procedure during the SDT procedure.

Abstract: A method for a base station (BS) in a wireless communication network is provided. The method receives, from a user equipment (UE), radio resource control (RRC) inactive state assistance information comprising capability information of the UE. The capability information indicates to the BS whether the UE is capable of transitioning to an RRC inactive state. The method then transmits, to the UE, an RRC state configuration message for instructing the UE to transition to the RRC inactive state.

Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) for small data transmission (SDT) are provided. The method includes: receiving, from a base station (BS), a common time alignment (TA) timer configured via system information; receiving, from the BS, a configured grant (CG)-SDT-specific TA timer configured via a CG-SDT-specific configuration; and determining whether to maintain or release a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) based on the expirations of the common TA timer and the CG-SDT-specific TA timer, wherein the PUCCH is maintained if the UE determines that the CG-SDT-specific TA timer has expired, and the PUCCH is released if the UE determines that the common TA timer has expired.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for handling measurement operations in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes a UE receiving a first measurement configuration in system information from a first serving cell. The first measurement configuration indicates at least one first cell applicable for being measured by the UE in a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) state which is an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state. The method further includes the UE performing, in the first RRC state, a first measurement operation based on the first measurement configuration to generate a first measurement result of the at least one first cell and retaining the first measurement result when the UE transitions from the first RRC state to a second RRC state.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication performed by a UE is provided. The method includes: receiving, from a serving cell, a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration; configuring a plurality of uplink (UL) BWPs in the serving cell based on the BWP configuration; determining that listen-before-talk (LBT) fails in a first UL BWP of the plurality of UL BWPs; switching from the first UL BWP to a second UL BWP of the plurality of UL BWPs after determining that the second UL BWP is configured with physical random access channel (PRACH) occasions and LBT has not failed in the second UL BWP; and releasing a radio resource control (RRC) connection and transitioning to an RRC_IDLE state after determining that LBT has failed in each of the plurality of UL BWPs that is configured with PRACH occasions.

Abstract: A base station (BS) and a method for system information (SI) modification procedure are provided. The method includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), downlink control information (DCI) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI), the DCI including an SI modification bit and a public warning system (PWS) notification bit. The DCI enables the UE to perform an SI acquisition procedure in a case that the SI modification bit is set. The DCI enables the UE to acquire at least one of an earthquake and tsunami warning system (ETWS) notification and a commercial mobile alert system (CMAS) notification immediately after the UE determines that the PWS notification bit is set.

Abstract: An RRC connection resume method of a wireless communication system is provided. An RRC suspend message is received by a UE from a first base station. An RRC resume procedure is performed by the UE with a second base station in response to the RRC suspend message. An RRC resume response is received by the UE from the second base station.

Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) for maintaining uplink (UL) synchronization in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a system information block (SIB) indicating a duration of a timer for the UL synchronization in the NTN; determining whether an epoch time is provided in the SIB; starting or restarting the timer with the duration at a time determined according to whether the epoch time is provided in the SIB; and determining that the UE has lost the UL synchronization upon an expiration of the timer.

Abstract: A method of cell reselection in a non-public network (NPN) for a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a first cell via a first System Information Block 1 (SIB1), a first network identity associated with a first indication, receiving, from a second cell via a second SIB1, a second network identity associated with a second indication, selecting one of the first network identity and the second network identity, determining whether the first indication is present and whether the first network identity is selected by the UE, determining the first cell as barred for the cell reselection when the first indication is present, but the first network identity is not selected by the UE, and determining the first cell as a candidate cell for the cell reselection when the first indication is present and the first network identity is selected by the UE.

Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. In the method, at least one idle mode measurement configuration is received from a cell of a serving radio access network (RAN) via a downlink control signaling. Whether a small data transmission (SDT) procedure is ongoing while the UE is staying in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state is determined. Whether to perform an idle mode measurement in the RRC inactive state according to the at least one idle mode measurement configuration is determined based on a determination result of whether the SDT procedure is ongoing.

Abstract: A method of performing cell selection or reselection by a user equipment (UE) in a radio resource control (RRC) idle mode or an RRC inactive mode is disclosed. The method includes: receiving an intra-frequency-reselection indicator in a Master Information Block (MIB) from a cell on a specific frequency; determining whether the cell belongs to a network to which the UE is registered; determining other cells on the specific frequency as barred cells that the UE is not permitted to select in an intra-frequency cell reselection, in a case that the cell belongs to the network and the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a first value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is not allowed to be performed; and performing the intra-frequency cell reselection to the other cells on the specific frequency, in a case that the cell does not belong to the network or the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a second value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is allowed to be performed.

Abstract: A user equipment and a method for performing a multi-Subscriber Identity Module (multi-SIM) operation are provided.
