    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for managing an access mode of an NB in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving, from a first NB, a request to change the access mode of the second NB from a first mode into a second mode; determining, by the CN, to change the access mode of the second NB into the second mode; transmitting, to the second NB, a request message requesting to change the access mode of the second NB; and receiving, from the second NB, a response message informing of an access mode control result. If the first mode allows access only to terminals having a registration in the second NB, and the second mode allows access to terminals, the second NB further grants access to at least one terminal not registered in the second NB, after changing the access mode.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for precoding by limited cooperation in a wireless communication system. A method of data precoding by a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system includes determining a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) parameter indicating channel size information between the BS and a User Equipment (UE) served by the BS; transmitting the determined CQI parameter through a backhaul to a central unit; receiving, from the central unit, a weight factor based on a CQI parameter from each cell; and determining a precoding vector based on the weight factor. The weight factor represents a relative ratio of an inter-cell environment that is to be interfered by the BS.

The at least one base station performs transmission/reception with the mobile terminal using beam-forming in an ultra high frequency band, and provides resource information regarding uplink/downlink of each base station included in the active set to the mobile terminal based on the scheduling by the controller.
