  • Patent number: 9856980
Abstract: In a vehicular parking lock device, supplying a hydraulic pressure from pressure regulation of a line pressure by a linear solenoid valve to a hydraulic brake via a switching valve operated by a first solenoid valve enables a transmission to carry out a shift change. If desired that a parking lock is not operated when an engine stops, the hydraulic pressure stored under pressure in an accumulator is discharged to a drain oil passage by connecting the linear solenoid valve selectively to the drain oil passage by the first solenoid valve, thereby making it possible to prevent the hydraulic pressure stored under pressure in the accumulator from being supplied to a locking oil chamber at the other end of the hydraulic actuator. The first solenoid valve is used for both controlling the operation of the hydraulic brake and discharge of the hydraulic pressure stored under pressure in the accumulator.

  • Publication number: 20170268667
Abstract: The present invention provides an automatic transmission capable of properly judging faults of a switching mechanism. A control part ECU of the automatic transmission TM has an actual change gear ratio calculating part 10 and a fault judging part 11. Under a condition that the control part ECU has recognized that the first brake device B1 is switched to a reverse rotation preventing state, if the actual change gear ratio is kept to be an actual change gear ratio prior to a reduce of a rotational speed of a drive source ENG when the rotational speed of the drive source ENG is reduced, then the fault judging part 11 judges that a first brake B1 has a fault.

  • Publication number: 20160341311
Abstract: A vehicle parking lock device includes an automatic transmission to transmit a drive force from a drive source. The automatic transmission includes a hydraulic actuator and a hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic actuator restricts rotation of a parking gear. The hydraulic circuit includes an accumulator and a line pressure controller. Pressure is accumulated in the accumulator with line pressure. Hydraulic pressure accumulated in the accumulator is supplied to the hydraulic actuator so that the hydraulic actuator is in a parking lock activation position when the drive source has stopped. Pressure in the accumulator is accumulated with the line pressure when the drive source has started. The line pressure controller boosts the line pressure to a level higher than or equal to a pressure necessary to fully fill up the accumulator in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied after the drive source has started.

  • Publication number: 20160319915
Abstract: A mechanical engagement mechanism has regulation states out of a first state in which at least one of a plurality of rotating elements is rotatable only in a first direction and a second state in which the at least one of the plurality of rotating elements is not rotatable in both of the first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction and a reverse gear position is to be established. A non-traveling gear position is to be established in the first state or in the second state. A processor is to switch the regulation states of the mechanical engagement mechanism from the second state to the first state when oil pressure that is detected by an oil pressure sensor becomes lower than a predetermined oil pressure after switching a shift position from the reverse gear position to the non-traveling gear position is detected.

  • Patent number: 9340210
Abstract: A sticking condition of a lock-up clutch is judged by an oil temperature of hydraulic oil and a slip ratio of the LC. An intake air amount of an engine is increased while the LC is judged to be in a sticking condition, and the increase of the intake air amount of the engine is terminated when the judgment to be in the sticking condition is canceled. This enables to effectively prevent a rotation speed of the engine from decelerating in a range (timing) where a sticking of the LC occurs, and further prevent the rotation speed of the engine from rapidly accelerating in a range where a sticking of the LC does not occur. Therefore, decelerations of engine rotation speed due to a sticking of the lock-up clutch and rapid accelerations of engine rotation speed after the sticking has been eliminated can both be prevented.

  • Patent number: 9205813
Abstract: In case of power supply loss, a parking lock is operated by moving a piston of a hydraulic actuator rightward by use of hydraulic pressure accumulated in an accumulator. If a hydraulic pressure generating source becomes unable to generate line pressure due to its failure after the power supply loss, it is desirable that the parking lock be releasable to tow a vehicle, for example. In that time, because the hydraulic pressure in the accumulator has got out via an orifice, the parking lock can be released by moving the piston in the hydraulic actuator leftward by use of a manual operation device without interruption by the hydraulic pressure accumulated in the accumulator. Because the hydraulic pressure in the accumulator is automatically released via the orifice, a complicated mechanism for enabling the manual operation device to work without interference from the hydraulic actuator becomes unnecessary.

  • Patent number: 9199629
Abstract: An automatic transmission includes an input member, a planetary gear mechanism, a plurality of engagement mechanisms, an output member, a control unit, and a switching mechanism. The control unit is able to perform a backward preparation mode (step 3) which enables the rpm of an element fixed by the switching mechanism to be predetermined rpm or less by bringing the engagement mechanism into a connected state or a fixed state when the shift position is switched from a forward range to a backward range (step 1). The control unit switches the switching mechanism from a reverse-rotation preventing state to the fixed state (step 7) after the rpm of the element becomes the predetermined rpm or less (step 5) by performing the backward preparation mode.

  • Patent number: 9140358
Abstract: An automatic transmission includes an input member, a planetary gear set, a plurality of engagement mechanisms, an output member, a shift position detecting unit, an input rotational speed detecting unit, a control unit, and a switching mechanism. When a shift position is changed from a forward drive range to a reverse drive range, the control unit performs a reverse preparation mode in which a rotational speed of an element to be fixed by the switching mechanism is lower than or equal to a predetermined speed by setting an engagement mechanism in one of a connection mode and a fixed mode. Upon performing the reverse preparation mode, the control unit engages the engagement mechanism that connects the element fixed by the switching mechanism to the input member and, thereafter, engages the engagement mechanism that makes the rotational speed of the input member lower than or equal to the predetermined speed.
