Patent number: 7100720Abstract: A driving power control device for a hybrid vehicle controls the engagement state of a lockup clutch so that high efficiency in regeneration is obtainable. The driving power control device for a hybrid vehicle includes an engine and a motor-generator as power sources, an automatic transmission disposed between the power sources and driving wheels with an intervening torque converter having a lockup clutch, and an ECU for controlling selection of the power sources and for controlling a slip ratio of the torque converter. In this control device, a target slip ratio of the torque converter, which corresponds to a target amount of regeneration that is retrieved using regeneration amount determining factors, is obtained by executing a feedforward control operation using friction torque determining factors, and the slip ratio is controlled in a feedback manner based on the difference between the target slip ratio and the actual slip ratio.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2003Date of Patent: September 5, 2006Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishInventor: Yutaka Ishikawa

Publication number: 20060108163Abstract: A hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 2, a motor generator 4, a torque converter 6 with a lock-up clutch 5, and a ratio-change mechanism 7. A control system for the hybrid vehicle comprises a rotational sensor 22, which detects the slip ratio of the torque converter, and a hydraulic control valve 12, which controls the engagement of the lock-up clutch. While the vehicle is moving along with the accelerator pedal being released from its stepped down condition, a driving force from the wheels is transmitted to the motor generator 4 for energy regeneration. If the slip ratio of the torque converter is equal to or smaller than a first threshold value, then only the lock-up clutch is controlled into engagement. However, if the slip ratio is between the first threshold value and a second threshold value, then additionally the motor generator is controlled in cooperative operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2005Publication date: May 25, 2006Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Kazuhiko Kitano, Masachika Kimura, Yasuhiro Ijichi, Yutaka Ishikawa, Takashi Horiguchi

Patent number: 5926680Abstract: A fixing unit, used for fixing images on a recording sheet, includes a heat roller accommodating a heater, and a press roller movable between a retracted position and an operating position. The heat roller is rotated by a driving mechanism. A moving mechanism opens and closes a gap between the press roller and the heat roller by moving the press roller between the retracted position and the operating position. An assist gear rotates the press roller in a predetermined direction when the opening/closing mechanism moves the press roller toward the operating position.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 1997Date of Patent: July 20, 1999Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kasumi Yamamoto, Masatoshi Takano, Tomoyuki Nishikawa, Tsutomu Sato, Tsukasa Yanashima, Yutaka Ishikawa, Hiroyuki Saito

Patent number: 5887998Abstract: The tractor-feed unit has a pair of first and a pair of second rollers rotatably supported by frame members. A pair of endless tractor belts are wound around the first and second pair of rollers. The tractor belt has protrusions, with which sprocket holes formed in a continuous sheet are engaged. A central portion of each of the frame members is bent to form a guide member, which is engaged with an upper and peripheral edge of a tractor belt, so that a tractor belt is deflected downward. Thus, the protrusions are separated from the sprocket holes to a position, corresponding to a guide member, below the continuous sheet.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1997Date of Patent: March 30, 1999Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yutaka Ishikawa

Patent number: 5847747Abstract: A tractor unit for a recording sheet is provided. A tractor belt is provided with protrusions for engaging with feed holes formed on both sides of the recording sheet. A pulley rotates the tractor belt and a frame supports the pulley. The recording sheet is fed in a predetermined direction by rotation of the pulley. The frame has a top sensor for sensing passage of a leading edge of recording sheet and for outputting a predetermined signal. A cover member covers the recording sheet such that the recording sheet does not warp or float up from the tractor belt.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1997Date of Patent: December 8, 1998Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yutaka Ishikawa

Patent number: 5842100Abstract: A fixing unit includes a heat roller accommodating a heater and a press roller movable toward and away from the heat roller. Both shaft members of the heat roller are supported by two receiving members, with a clearance provided between each shaft member and respective receiving member. A driven gear is provided to one of the shaft member, which engages a rotating mechanism for rotating the heat roller. The fixing unit further includes a biasing member which biases the other shaft of the heat roller away from the press roller within the clearance, in such a manner that the heat roller and the press roller become parallel when the above-described one shaft member is urged away from the press roller due to the meshing engagement of the driven gear and the rotating mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1997Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tsukasa Yanashima, Masatoshi Takano, Tomoyuki Nishikawa, Tsutomu Sato, Kasumi Yamamoto, Yutaka Ishikawa

Patent number: 5839046Abstract: A printer includes a tractor unit for feeding continuous form paper, encoders driven in synchronization with the tractor unit, and detecting sensors for detecting the encoders to generate feed pulses at a standard interval. The printer further includes a paper top sensor for detecting a leading edge of the continuous form paper to generate paper top signal and is arranged to control the feed of the paper based on the feed pulse generated after the paper top signal. In order to adjust the printing position on the paper in case where the scanning position is misaligned due to a manufacturing error, the position of the detecting sensors is adjustable with respect to the encoders to compensate for the error. Further, the position of the paper top sensor is adjustable with respect to the tractor unit in order to keep the relationship between the feed pulse and the paper top signal unchanged regardless of the adjustment of the detecting sensors.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1997Date of Patent: November 17, 1998Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masatoshi Takano, Yutaka Ishikawa, Hiroyuki Yamaguchi, Hiroyuki Saito

Patent number: 5713059Abstract: A broad swing arm having a finger at its swinging end extends from an axis near a fixing unit to a tractor, overtop and next to a continuous form transport path. Any bulge or buckle caused by a paper jam and forming in the continuous form at any position between the fixing unit and tractor, and across the width of the form, is detected as the swing arm is pushed up at some point along its length, moving the finger away from a sensor monitored by a controller. Printing in the printer is stopped when the sensor detects that the finger has been moved.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 1996Date of Patent: January 27, 1998Assignee: Asahi Kogaku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yutaka Ishikawa

Patent number: 5617382Abstract: In an optical information accessing system for an optical disc including a plurality of tracks forming one helix, a counter counts sectors, and a comparator compares a value of the counter with a predetermined value. When the value of the counter reaches the predetermined value, a coincidence signal is generated from the comparator. A gate circuit passes the coincidence signal as a jump-back signal. When data processing upon the optical disc is abnormally interrupted and the coincidence signal is generated, the predetermined value is switched from a first value to a second value larger than the first value.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 1995Date of Patent: April 1, 1997Assignees: NEC Corporation, Sony CorporationInventors: Hideki Kobunaya, Yutaka Ishikawa, Yoshimori Yamasaki, Takayoshi Chiba
