  • Patent number: 5470290
Abstract: A change gear control device is provided for an automatic transmission in a motor vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine which is operated with an air/fuel mixture having air/fuel ratios ranging from a fuel rich air/fuel ratio to a fuel lean air/fuel ratio depending on driving conditions of the motor vehicle. In this device a first detector detects an engine torque of the internal combustion engine and a second detector detects a vehicle speed of the motor vehicle. A processor processes transmission gear ratios for the automatic transmission.

  • Patent number: 5468196
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a car equipped with an automatic transmission having a lockup clutch. According to the control method of the present invention, when the lockup clutch is in the lockup state, a variation of a generated torque is detected. When the range of the torque variation detected exceeds a predetermined value, an engine torque is reduced by controlling the engine, and the automatic transmission is controlled to compensate for a reduction of the driving torque due to a reduction of the engine torque. Thus, the speed change ratio is changed to the low gear side.

  • Patent number: 5412867
Abstract: The present invention intends to provide a gap-forming sheet for laminating a plurality of flat plate electrodes, for example, for controlling electron beam at high accuracy in a short period of time. Gap-forming sheets each including a support member formed by depolymerizing resin, gap members for providing gaps between the flat plate electrodes, and a bonding paste for bonding the flat plate electrodes, are held between the flat plate electrodes, which are baked to decompose the support members, and thus, by melting the bonding paste, the flat plate electrodes are joined together for lamination, with gaps being provided by the gap members.

  • Patent number: 5398555
Abstract: A torque detection mechanism can be provided for a power train and its control unit without newly adding a sensor and its signal processing module. As a gear pair for the torque detection mechanism of a phase difference type, existing gears in a transmission are used, or a gear pair for this mechanism are provided adjacent to these existing gears. From phase signals sent from pickups, a phase difference signal is obtained by use of one part of existing devices in the control unit. The torque detection mechanism can be realized with the minimum number of component parts by utilizing the existing members and spaces instead of newly adding a sensor and its module. The invention can be applied to either of FF and FR cars, and has a practical structure in respect of the performance, costs and reliability.

  • Patent number: 5150680
Abstract: This specification discloses an internal combustion engine control system which meets two conflicting performance requirements in the automotive internal combustion engine. In the control system according to this invention, the operation of the throttle valve is controlled such that the opening angle of the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine changes according to the travel amount of the accelerator pedal in the range from the minimum value to a predetermined value less than the maximum value of the accelerator pedal travel amount of the automobile, and that the throttle valve becomes full open in the range from the predetermined value to the maximum value of the accelerator pedal travel amount.

  • Patent number: 5141461
Abstract: This invention proposes methods of effectively forming a metal-backed layer and an anode using a metal film transferring sheet in which micro-holes are formed. that is, the metal film transferring sheet is structured by forming a metal film on a mold-releasable, highly characteristic sheet. Then, the metal film having micro-holes of the metal film transferring sheet is transferred onto a phosphor screen. Or, on the metal film of the above-mentioned metal film transferring sheet, is formed a phosphor screen and the metal film, the phosphor screen, etc. are all transferred onto a face plate form an anode of a cathode-ray tube. Then the methods proposed by this invention are applied for making phosphor products of, for example, a cathode-ray tube or a plasma display. According to these methods, there is no need to use a large-scaled manufacturing facility and high quality, low cost products can be obtainable.

  • Patent number: 4909151
Abstract: A method of forming an ink image with a thermo-sensitive ink by using a printing plate that is used in dry lithographic printing, and printing the ink image onto an object. An ink remover is placed via a thermo-sensitive ink layer that is in a heated state on a printing surface of a printing plate having a part receptive to ink and a part capable of repelling ink. The printing plate and the ink remover are separated after they are cooled so that the ink layer on the part capable of repelling ink is transferred to the ink remover. The ink image obtained on the printing plate or the ink remover is transferred to an object. Printing that does not require maintenance that has been essential to conventional dry lithographic printing becomes possible.
