  • Patent number: 7267410
Abstract: A balance weight is formed into a columnar shape to extend in an axial direction of a spoke connecting a wheel hub and a rim of a spoke wheel, has an insertion recess extending over its entire axial length to open in its outer periphery, and is secured by crimping to the spoke to surround the spoke inserted into the insertion recess. A reduced section having a decreased outer diameter is provided on the balance weight at an end facing toward the wheel hub. Thus, the balance weights can be mounted to the adjacent spokes of the spoke wheel without interference therebetween.

  • Patent number: 7245361
Abstract: A method for evaluating the refractive index homogeneity of an optical member includes passing light through an optical member (1) used for photolithography. The side surface (1a) with respect to the optical axis (AX) of the optical member (1) is retained by elastic members (4) at a plurality of positions disposed at equal intervals to pass light through the optical member (1) and measure a wave front aberration. The optical member is rotated around the optical axis (AX) by the equal interval to measure a wave front aberration again and determine the difference from the initial measurement. The optical member (1) is moved in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis (AX) to measure a wave front aberration again and determined the difference from the initial measurement. The refractive index homogeneity of the optical member can be accurately evaluated from those differences by using fitting of the Zernike cylindrical function.

  • Patent number: 6874856
Abstract: A wheel balance weight includes a weight and an installation member. The weight is composed of at least one member selected from the group consisting of zinc and a zinc-based alloy, is formed as a substantially strip shape having a substantially uniform thickness, and has opposite surfaces and at least a groove. The groove is formed in at least one of the opposite surfaces of the weight, and crosses in the width-wise direction of the weight. The installation member is adapted for installing the weight to a rim in a wheel. Since the weight is composed of zinc or a zinc-based alloy, environments are inhibited from being polluted when the wheel balance weight is abolished. Moreover, it is possible to manufacture the wheel balance weight at reduced costs and install it to wheels with ease.

  • Publication number: 20040026810
Abstract: This invention provides a method which makes it possible to reliably detect malfunctions during the ejecting step without rendering the injection molding machine more complicated. An ejector pin is incorporated in the movable die. This ejector pin is connected, via an ejector plate, a connecting rod, a connecting plate and a feed screw, with a servo motor. The force for ejecting the ejector pin pushing a molded product is measured from the driving torque of a servo motor. In this invention, the relationship between driving torque and elapsed time from the initiation of ejection of the molded product is stored as a reference pattern. The tolerance limit and monitoring interval of driving torque are preset relative to the reference pattern. When the value of driving torque falls outside the tolerance limit during the ejecting step, it is judged as a malfunction, and an alarm is generated to stop the machine in a safe state.

  • Patent number: 6673282
Abstract: A stationary die is held on the front surface of a stationary platen and a movable die is held on the front surface of a movable platen. A plurality of monitoring sections are set in advance within a moving range of the movable platen and an upper limit of forward thrust of the movable platen is set for each of the monitoring sections. When the forward thrust of the movable platen reaches the upper limit set in one of the monitoring sections during a die closing operation, it is determined that abnormality occurs to stop the movable platen from moving forward. If a die closing mechanism is of a toggle link type, the forward thrust of the movable platen is calculated based on the thrust of a crosshead which drives a toggle link mechanism, the moving speed of the crosshead, and the moving speed of the movable platen.

  • Patent number: 6669459
Abstract: An electric injection molding machine capable of maintaining a quality of molded articles and capable of minimizing weight variation of molded articles. An electric injection mechanism injects molding material into a mold using an electric motor. An injection control unit and a servo driver control the motor so as to follow an injection speed reference. A compensation unit compensates the injection speed reference based on characteristics of a hydraulic drive system so that fluctuation of injection speed with respect to the injection pressure approximate the fluctuation characteristics of a hydraulic injection mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6659567
Abstract: A wheel balance weight includes a weight and a double-sided tape. The weight is formed as a substantially strip shape, is made from a ferrous alloy, and has opposite top and bottom surfaces and at least a groove. The groove is formed in the bottom surface of the weight, and crosses in the width-wise direction thereof being substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof. The double-sided tape has opposite adhesive surfaces being disposed back to back with each other. One of the opposite adhesive surfaces is to be bonded onto the bottom surface of the weight, and the other one of the opposite adhesive surfaces to be bonded onto an inner peripheral surface of a wheel. Accordingly, it is possible to curve the weight with less force. Hence, it is possible to install the wheel balance weight to a wheel with ease.
