  • Patent number: 7145423
Abstract: An electromagnetic actuator with high performance such as high speed and high resolution is inexpensively provided with solutions to problems associated with power supply and leakage flux, which have been involved in the structure of a moving coil type and have been shortcomings of a VCM type actuator. A composite electromagnetic actuator apparatus employs the foregoing electromagnetic actuator. The electromagnetic actuator is equipped with a stationary assembly that includes two coils disposed coaxially with each other inside a hollow stator yoke composed of a soft magnetic material, and a movable assembly composed of a movable magnet unit and a movable yoke unit both disposed inside the coils with a very small clearance therefrom so as to be movable in the axial direction, wherein the movable assembly travels in the axial direction by the interaction between a magnetic field generated by the movable magnet unit and a current passing through the coils.

  • Patent number: 7140758
Abstract: A mechanism for deflecting a headlamp optical axis comprises a connecting lever, a bracket, a stepping motor, a front end plate, and a traveling block. The bracket is attached to an outside frame constituting an automotive vehicle body, and the stepping motor is attached to the bracket in a horizontally movable manner. The stepping motor has a rotary shaft which has a screw formed thereon and engaging threadedly with the traveling block. The connecting lever is attached to the outside frame in a horizontally movable manner. In the mechanism structured above, when the rotary shaft rotates, the traveling block is caused to travel along the rotary shaft thereby causing the both ends of the connecting lever to move in respective arc paths, whereby an optical axis of a headlamp attached to one of the both ends of the connecting lever is deflected.

  • Patent number: 7132774
Abstract: A bobbin comprises three hollow-cylindrical sections, specifically a middle body section, and two lateral body sections. The middle body section has its diameter diminished compared to the two lateral body sections thus forming an annular recess which allows a magnet wire to be wound with an additional number of turns around the bobbin without increasing a motor size. With this bobbin structure, when the number of turns of a magnet wire is set to remain unchanged, the diameter of flanges of the bobbin can be reduced resulting in a downsized motor.

  • Publication number: 20060215203
Abstract: This invention provides a data storage output apparatus that includes an input component, plural output components, a storage component and a conversion component. The input component inputs data. The plural output components output data in different respective data formats. The storage component stores data in an intermediate format, which can be converted to data formats required by the respective plural output components. The conversion component converts the data stored in the storage component to a data format corresponding to the output component and outputs the data to the output component.

  • Publication number: 20060192654
Abstract: Portable terminal equipment including a registering unit for registering a predetermined character string and a specific notifying operation corresponding to the character string. When the terminal receives an electronic mail, it retrieves the registered character string. In case the received electronic mail includes the character string, the registered notifying operation is executed when the electronic mail is received, when it is displayed or both. If a user of the portable terminal equipment arranges the input of a specific character string to an electronic mail with a specific partner, an electronic mail from the partner can be easily discriminated when an electronic mail is received or displayed.

  • Patent number: 7049723
Abstract: The disclosure describes a DC motor including a rotor unit arranged within the motor body and has a cylindrical field magnet fixed to an outer surface of a holder. The holder has a rotating shaft press-fitted through the center, and the cylindrical field magnet has the S and the N poles alternately around a circumference. There is a stator unit which is circumferentially arranged around the rotor unit, that is made of a plurality of stator yokes that are arranged so that they oppose the field magnet through a small gap. Each of the stator yokes is formed by circumferentially stacking a large number of thin plates, each consisting of a salient pole, and a number of coil units, each formed by winding a magnet wire on a bobbin, and mounting the bobbins on the stator yokes. In the described arrangement, each of the S and N poles has a plurality of stages formed in an axial direction and shifted from each other in the circumferential direction by a predetermined shift amount with respect to the field magnet.

  • Patent number: 7005766
Abstract: In a motor portion of a linear actuator, a rear end cap and a front end protrusion, which are disposed respectively at the rear and front ends of a stator assembly, and which include rear and front bearings to rotatably support a rotor assembly, are formed by injection-molding simultaneously and integrally with a stator support member which fixedly supports constituent members of the stator assembly, whereby the stator assembly, the rear end cap, and the front end protrusion can be coaxially aligned to one another with a high degree of precision thus improving the assembling precision of the motor portion. Also, since the front bearing can be attached to the front end protrusion before an output shaft is attached, the rotation characteristic of the rotor assembly can be evaluated before the output shaft is attached.

  • Publication number: 20050264113
Abstract: An actuator for use with a fluid channel structure comprises: a stator assembly including stator yokes, and a coil; and a rotor assembly including a housing shaped in a circular hollow-cylinder, an output shaft inserted through the housing, a sleeve, a magnet fixedly attached to the sleeve, and a rotor case. In the actuator described above, the housing includes first and second sealing units having elasticity and disposed at the outer circumference of the circular hollow-cylinder. The first sealing unit makes elastic contact with a wall of a fluid channel of the fluid channel structure, and the rotor case has a cup-like configuration and has an open end portion thereof engaging with the circular hollow-cylinder portion of the housing and pressing on the elastic second sealing unit. Thus, hermetic structure is surely achieved.
