  • Publication number: 20050040725
Abstract: A bobbin comprises three hollow-cylindrical sections, specifically a middle body section, and two lateral body sections. The middle body section has its diameter diminished compared to the two lateral body sections thus forming an annular recess which allows a magnet wire to be wound with an additional number of turns around the bobbin without increasing a motor size. With this bobbin structure, when the number of turns of a magnet wire is set to remain unchanged, the diameter of flanges of the bobbin can be reduced resulting in a downsized motor.

  • Publication number: 20050017593
Abstract: In a motor comprising a stator assembly and a rotor assembly housed inside the stator assembly, a bobbin is structured to be oval-cylindrical in its radial cross section, rather than circular-cylindrical, such that a body section of the bobbin is composed of four continuous walls, two of which are formed of flat plates oriented perpendicular to the minor axis of the oval and disposed opposite to each other in parallel, and the other two of which are formed of outwardly arced plates oriented perpendicular to the flat walls and disposed opposite to each other in a symmetric manner. Pole teeth are provided only at portions corresponding to the arced walls to thereby reduce the dimension between the flat walls for downsizing while allowing an increased number of turns of a magnet wire wound around the bobbin.

  • Publication number: 20040164623
Abstract: In a motor portion of a linear actuator, a rear end cap and a front end protrusion, which are disposed respectively at the rear and front ends of a stator assembly, and which include rear and front bearings to rotatably support a rotor assembly, are formed by injection-molding simultaneously and integrally with a stator support member which fixedly supports constituent members of the stator assembly, whereby the stator assembly, the rear end cap, and the front end protrusion can be coaxially aligned to one another with a high degree of precision thus improving the assembling precision of the motor portion. Also, since the front bearing can be attached to the front end protrusion before an output shaft is attached, the rotation characteristic of the rotor assembly can be evaluated before the output shaft is attached.

  • Publication number: 20040165395
Abstract: A mechanism for deflecting a headlamp optical axis comprises a connecting lever, a bracket, a stepping motor, a front end plate, and a traveling block. The bracket is attached to an outside frame constituting an automotive vehicle body, and the stepping motor is attached to the bracket in a horizontally movable manner. The stepping motor has a rotary shaft which has a screw formed thereon and engaging threadedly with the traveling block. The connecting lever is attached to the outside frame in a horizontally movable manner. In the mechanism structured above, when the rotary shaft rotates, the traveling block is caused to travel along the rotary shaft thereby causing the both ends of the connecting lever to move in respective arc paths, whereby an optical axis of a headlamp attached to one of the both ends of the connecting lever is deflected.
