The present invention implements the deferred linking of the policy and charging control session in roaming scenarios of home roaming and local breakout by establishing a new subsession of the S9 session between a visited PCRF and a home PCRF in a process of the BBERF relocation, and linking the new subsession of the S9 session to the Gxx session established between the destination BBERF and the visited PCRF and the corresponding Gx session.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a system for performing policy and charging control for establishing multiple PDN connections to a single APN, the method associates the gateway control session with the subsession in the S9 session associated with the Gx session modified by the indication of IP-CAN session modification message through the PDN Connection ID, thereby, after the relocation occurs on the BBERF making the modified PCC rule be sent down to the PCEF through the associated Gx session and the modified QoS be sent down to the destination BBERF through the gateway control session, thereby implementing the policy and charging control when establishing multiple PDN connections to the single APN in the roaming scenario.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for implementing limited policy and charging control. The method comprises a PCRF determining whether a visited network where a UE roams supports PCC, and sending a message containing an identifier indicating the limited policy and charging control deployment to an AF. After receiving the message containing the identifier, the AF performs no subscription of the event trigger and/or cancels the subscription of the event trigger based on the identifier. Using the method and system in accordance with the present invention, the AF can be notified more conveniently and accurately of the current policy and charging control deployment situation when the limited policy and charging control is implemented (i.e., when the visited network does not support the PCC). Moreover, the AF may perform the corresponding operations according to the current policy and charging control deployment situation, thereby saving system resources.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for deleting session information in Diameter Routing Agent, this method comprises: sending a request message for deleting the Diameter session to a visited Diameter Routing Agent DRA and a visited policy and charging rules function PCRF by a policy and charging control client; after the visited DRA receives the request message, the visited DRA marking the Diameter session as termination in the visited DRA; after the visited PCRF receives the request message, the visited PCRF sending a message requesting to delete the Diameter session information to a home DRA, the home DRA marking the Diameter session in the home DRA as termination. In the present invention, the session information in the DRA may be effectively deleted when the BBERF entity, the PCEF entity or the AF entity terminates the Diameter session between the local and the PCRF entities.
