The main idea of Elf is to erase the last few bits (i.e., set them to zero) of floating-point values, so the XORed values are supposed to contain many trailing zeros, where the erased bits are determined based on the decimal place count and the digits on the exponent bits.

    Abstract: An injection molding apparatus includes a first mold module, a second mold module, and an ejection mechanism. The second mold module is disposed on the first mold module. An injection chamber and a product chamber are formed between the first mold module and the second mold module. The ejection mechanism includes a main ejection assembly; a main ejection rod mounted to the main ejection assembly and passes through the first mold module; the central ejection assembly disposed in the main ejection assembly; and a central ejection rod mounted to the central ejection assembly and passes through the first mold module. After plastic in the injection chamber and the product chamber are cooled, a plastic product and an injection part connected to the plastic product are formed. Next, the central ejection assembly is lifted to separate the injection part from the plastic product by the central ejection rod.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to removal of aluminum impurities from battery waste. In some aspects, a method for removing aluminum impurities includes preprocessing a quantity of battery waste to improve removal of aluminum impurities from the quantity of battery waste. The method further includes removing at least a portion of the aluminum impurities from the quantity of battery waste, modifying the removed aluminum impurities to form a coating precursor and/or a doping precursor, and applying the coating precursor and/or the doping precursor to an electrode material. In some embodiments, the method further includes characterizing the aluminum impurities in the quantity of battery waste and regenerating the electrode material. In some embodiments, the removing can be via sieving, cyclone separation, air separation, elutriation, and/or dissolution. In some embodiments, the doping precursor can include aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3).

The method includes: determining a first operating frequency band of power line communication (PLC) and a second operating frequency band of radio frequency (RF) communication; and configuring a second frequency band number of the second operating frequency band based on a first frequency band number of the first operating frequency band, such that a high-order harmonic frequency of a first operating clock of the PLC and a high-order harmonic frequency of a second operating clock of the RF communication do not overlap with the first operating frequency band or the second operating frequency band. This can reduce an impact of multiplicative noise generated by harmonic superposition and an impact of noise generated by a CPU during operation on performance of a dual-mode converged communication unit, improving transmission efficiency of dual-mode converged communication.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing automatic prompt optimization using textual gradients. In various embodiments, a feedback prompt, input into a large language model (“LLM”), is used to generate textual gradients that criticize a current prompt. The feedback prompt includes the current prompt and predictions that are incorrect compared with corresponding labels associated with minibatch data processed by the LLM using the current prompt. The textual gradients and current prompt are used in an editing prompt to the LLM to obtain a set of optimized prompts, which may be expanded using a paraphrasing prompt that is input into the LLM to generate a set of paraphrased prompts. A selection algorithm is used to select one or more optimized prompts from the set of optimized prompts and/or the set of paraphrased prompts, and the process is repeated with the selected one or more optimized prompts replacing the current prompt.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods of recycling battery waste. In some aspects, a method can include applying a first heat treatment at a temperature of between about 100° C. and about 700° C. to the battery waste, the first heat treatment decomposing at least about 80 wt % of the binder, separating the electrode material from the current collector, and applying a second heat treatment at a temperature between about 400° C. and about 1,200° C. to the electrode material to produce a regenerated electrode material, the second heat treatment decomposing at least 90 wt % of binder remaining in the electrode material to produce a regenerated electrode material. In some embodiments, the method can include applying a surface treatment to the electrode material to remove surface coatings and/or surface impurities from the electrode material. In some embodiments, the surface treatment can include applying a solvent to the electrode material.

In some aspects, a method can include suspending a lithium source in a solvent containing an oxidation reagent to extract lithium, forming an extracted lithium solution, separating the extracted lithium solution from residual solids of a lithium source, purifying the extracted lithium solution by precipitating and filtering impurities, and precipitating the lithium in the purified lithium solution to generate lithium carbonate (Li2CO3). In some embodiments, the method can further include preprocessing the lithium source to improve kinetics of the lithium extraction.
