Abstract: The invention relates to a method, in an access point of a wireless local area network, of scheduling a radio resource, wherein at least one categorization rule is set in the wireless local area network, and at least one access group is set for a plurality of non-access-point stations served by the access point according to each of the at least one categorization rule, the method comprising the steps of: sending at least one categorization message to at least one of the plurality of stations, each categorization message comprising information about one of all the access groups which are set in the wireless local area network according to the at least one categorization rule; and sending a clear-to-send frame to the plurality of stations to indicate a radio resource allocated to an access group to be protected among all the access groups.

The technique includes transmitting, to a personal area network coordinator, joint information of a sensor device indicated by reserved bits and includes a type, a channel access rate, and a latest node buffer occupation rate of the sensor device; receiving, from the personal area network coordinator, information regarding adjusted active duration and duty cycle of the communication of the sensor device; and performing further communication based upon the adjusted active duration and duty cycle. Also, the technique includes receiving, from a sensor device, joint information indicated by reserved bits and includes a type, a channel access rate, and a latest node buffer occupation rate of the sensor device; adjusting an active duration and a duty cycle of the communication of the sensor device; and transmitting information regarding the adjusted active duration and duty cycle to the sensor device.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for fast and adaptive computer-aided detection of pulmonary nodules and differentiation of malignancy from benignancy in thoracic CT images using a hierarchical vector quantization scheme. Anomalous pulmonary nodules are detected by obtaining a two-dimensional (2D) feature model of a pulmonary nodule, segmenting the pulmonary nodule by performing vector quantification to expand the 2D feature model to a three-dimensional (3D) model, and displaying image information representing whether the pulmonary nodule is benign, based upon the 3D model expanded from the 2D feature model, with duplicate information eliminated by performing feature reduction performed using a principal component analysis and a receiver operating characteristics area under the curve merit analysis.

Abstract: A method for checking connectivity between a first device and a second device on a bidirectional Label Switched Path LSP, includes the first device sends, to the second device, an echo request including a reply mode and a return address, the reply mode requesting an echo reply to be delivered through backward LSP, and the return address being the unique ID of the first device; the first device receives an echo reply from the second device, the echo reply including the unique ID of the first device and return code related to connectivity of the backward LSP; and the first device correlates the echo reply with the echo request to verify connectivity between the two devices on the bidirectional Label Switched Paths.

Abstract: In an embodiment, an edge router is interconnected with a second edge router and the two edge routers respectively provide accesses to the communication network for a first device and a second device. The method includes, when a message containing a MAC address of the first device as a L2 source address and an IP address of the second device as a L3 target address from the first device is received, converting the L2 source address of the message into a virtual MAC address of the first device; and sending a message having the virtual MAC address of the first device to the second edge router according to the IP address of the second device. The virtual MAC address of the first device contains information PEID identifying the edge router, information VMID identifying the first device and information VIDCA for, in case that there may be a collision when identifying the first device, collision avoidance.

According to the embodiment the access network accommodates the virtual node to operate the function related to the third party, and improves the function topology architecture of the network, to provide users with better user experience quality.

A method for supporting migration of virtual machines across multiprotocol label switching network comprises the steps of: a first label edge router (LER) receiving a migration enablement function (MEF) discovery message from a first virtual machine that wishes to register with the first LER; the first LER updating its own virtual machine binding database to reflect binding of the first virtual machine to the first LER; and the first LER sending a MEF advertisement message to the first virtual machine to indicate that the first LER completes the registration of the first virtual machine. According to this invention, no complex registration hierarchy is needed. Furthermore, the virtual machine has no need to get aware of the registration hierarchy and only a few registration signaling and processes involve the virtual machine.

After receiving the 6LoWPAN data packet, the edge router judges 6LoWPAN-message-type information of the data packet. When the 6LoWPAN-message-type information indicates that the data packet is sent to another 6LoWPAN subnet, the 6LoWPAN data packet is encapsulated in an IP data packet and sent to a backbone network router. The backbone network router and the edge router of the subnet in which the destination node is located, respectively route the data packet according to the personal area network identifier of the destination address.

The first layer polyelectrolyte, the second layer polyelectrolyte, or both, is deposited on the substrate in the presence of a polymeric precipitant; and the first layer polyelectrolyte and the second layer polyelectrolyte have net charges of opposite polarity. Also disclosed are methods of improving bioactive molecule retention during fabrication of a polyelectrolyte multilayer film.
