  • Publication number: 20120270584
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, a device and a base station for utilizing cell edge frequency band resources, and are related to the field of mobile communications. The method includes: receiving a message transmitted from another cell, wherein the message is used for indicating information of an edge frequency band resource block used by the another cell; acquiring information of a remaining available resource block; and according to the acquired information of the remaining available resource block, utilizing the remaining available resource block according to a set probability that a current cell utilizes each remaining available resource block.

  • Patent number: 7662911
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of making a film, the method comprising depositing a first layer polyelectrolyte on a surface of a substrate to form a first layer; and depositing a second layer polyelectrolyte on the first layer polyelectrolyte to form a second layer. The first layer polyelectrolyte, the second layer polyelectrolyte, or both, is deposited on the substrate in the presence of a polymeric precipitant; and the first layer polyelectrolyte and the second layer polyelectrolyte have net charges of opposite polarity. Also disclosed are methods of improving bioactive molecule retention during fabrication of a polyelectrolyte multilayer film.

  • Patent number: 7509121
Abstract: A method of updating firmware using the object push profile in the bluetooth object exchange protocol is proposed. This method first makes use of a bluetooth transmitter to connect a bluetooth electronic device whose firmware is to be updated and a host storing a new program code. Next, the bluetooth transmitter checks parameters in an EEPROM of the bluetooth electronic device to determine whether it is necessary to update the firmware. Through the object push profile (OPP) in the object exchange (OBEX) protocol of the bluetooth technology, this new program code is reprogrammed to a flash memory in the bluetooth electronic device. After the end of the reprogramming action, the bluetooth connection between the bluetooth electronic device and the host is cut off to finish firmware update of the bluetooth electronic device.

  • Patent number: 6864572
Abstract: A heat sink base (10) includes a rectangular body (11) made of aluminum and a circular core (12) made of copper. The body defines a circular through opening (111). A diameter of the opening is slightly less than a diameter of the core. The core is attached within the body according to the following steps: a) pressing the core into the through opening of the body; b) stamping the core to cause it to plastically deform in radial directions and thereby become firmly combined with the body; and c) removing any burring of the core flowing out from the opening such that surfaces of the core and the body are coplanarly smooth.

  • Patent number: 6373858
Abstract: A message format and associated method for estimating the frequency and timing offset of a reference burst of a random access channel in a time-division multiple access communications system. A signal structure in which the continuous wave segment is split into two parts separated by some portion of the content of the random access channel burst is used to provide more precise frequency estimation. Iteration of separate frequency and timing estimation procedures is used to refine both estimates, as the individual estimation processes are more accurate when there is less error in the other parameter. Multiple hypothesis testing is used, in which more than one initial frequency estimate is carried through the iteration process, with thresholding to identify the best frequency offset. Reliable rejection of false ambiguities is achieved because the degradation in timing estimation, due to large frequency offsets, can be detected with thresholding.
