  • Patent number: 8508581
Abstract: A pixel data transformation method that can improve the display quality of a text image in a multi-view autostereoscopic display apparatus is provided. The pixel data transformation method includes following steps. The color values of a first and a second original pixels adjacent to each other are obtained. The first and the second original pixels are replaced respectively with a first and a second pixel arrays according to the color value of the first and the second original pixels. Edge pixels on adjoining sides of the first and the second pixel arrays are combined, wherein a color value of each of the combined pixels is a sum of color values of the two corresponding edge pixels on adjoining sides of the first and the second pixel arrays.

  • Patent number: 7868287
Abstract: The invention relates an apparatus and method for forming a diffuse reflector. In one embodiment of the invention, a diffuse reflector is formed by exposing transmissive particles of a pre-determined purity to pressure and forming a material having desired diffuse reflective properties. The transmissive particles may further be thermally treated, such as by sintering, to form material having desired diffuse reflective properties. The treated transmissive particles may then be disposed in a vessel and define a cavity therein to form an integrated cavity diffuse reflector.

  • Publication number: 20100322804
Abstract: The peristaltic pump streaming/spraying pistol comprises a shroud with a battery, a motor, and a hose. The hose is connected with a sinking weighted ball at one end and a streaming/spraying nozzle at another end. A wall and a rotating disc, which is at least partially surrounded by the wall, are inside the shroud. Equidistant rollers for pressing the hose are mounted on the rotating disc. Between the rollers and the wall, there is a pressing channel for the hose. When in use, the battery starts the motor to drive the rotating disc. At the same time, the rollers on the rotating disc continuously press the hose and rapidly extrude the air out of it, so that a negative pressure is created in the hose. Due to the atmospheric pressure, the liquid will enter the hose from sinking weighted ball and will stream/spray out from the discharge nozzle.

  • Patent number: 7705086
Abstract: A room temperature curable water-based mold release agent that is useful for demolding composite parts, such as epoxy and polyester based polymer materials. The mold release agent is curable at low temperatures, such as room temperature, but is thermally stable up to conventional epoxy based composite molding temperatures, e.g., greater than 200 or 280° C. The mold release agent is useful for demolding large composite parts that are cured in large ovens at high temperature when the molds themselves are prepped at room temperature before placing in the oven. The mold release agent is also useful for demolding polyester composite parts that are prepared and cured at low temperature such as room temperature.

  • Publication number: 20100030127
Abstract: A duct stent being capable of carrying the subminiature radioactive particle source is mainly used for the inside radiation therapy of metaphase or terminal pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer, and has drainage function. The duct stent consists of a tubular drainage tube (1) and fixation portions (2) which are face to face with two ends of the drainage tube (1) and can fix the stent to prevent the stent from moving. The lumen of the drainage tube (1) is a drainage cavity (1.1) for draining the pancreatic juice or the bile. A particle passage (1.2) is provided in the tube wall of the drainage tube (1). The inside diameter of the particle passage (1.2) matches with the outer diameter of the subminiature radioactive particle source.

  • Publication number: 20090304076
Abstract: A memory arrangement method and system for AC/DC prediction in video compression applications based on parallel processing is disclosed. The method and system achieves optimum operating efficiency for data operation and reading based on parallel computing characteristics (Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD)) of an operation unit of the system. Additionally, the method transplants a VC-1 video compression system running in an operating system (the Windows operating system, for example) to a system platform using a digital signal processor (DSP) as an operation unit and implements a real-time VC-1 encoder according to parallel computing characteristics of a hardware core of the system platform.

  • Patent number: RE41682
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring an absorption coefficient includes a first diffusive material, a second diffusive material inside the first diffusive material separated from the first diffusive material by a cavity, and a transparent material proximate to an inner surface of the second diffusive material that holds an absorptive material. First and second light detectors measure light intensities in the first and second diffusive materials cavity and the transparent material respectively. An absorption coefficient for the absorptive material may be determined based on the first and second light intensities measured when the cavity is illuminated by a light source.
