Abstract: A process for the production of ezetimibe and intermediates used in said process are disclosed. A kind of Morita-Baylis-Hillman adduct can be altered to chiral carboxylic acid derivatives of ?-arylamino ?-methylene with high activity and selectivity by means of ally lamination reaction, and the above carboxylic acid derivatives of ?-arylamino ?-methylene can be altered to the chiral intermediates of ezetimibe by means of simple conversion and further synthesized into the chiral drug ezetimibe. The synthesis route introduces chirality through the use of a chiral catalysis method, thereby avoiding the use of the chiral auxiliary oxazolidinone; and the route is economical and eco-friendly.

Abstract: The present invention provides protein-based biomarkers and biomarker combinations that are useful in qualifying ovarian cancer status in a patient. In particular, the biomarkers of this invention are useful to classify a subject sample as ovarian cancer or non-ovarian cancer. The biomarkers can be detected by SELDI mass spectrometry.

Abstract: An active magnetic wheel bearing including at least two electromagnetic units arranged to support a wheel hub flange of a vehicle within a bearing outer ring. The active magnetic wheel bearing requires little change to surrounding known structure of the wheel hub flange unit. In addition a method of control and operation of the magnetic wheel bearing is presented.

Abstract: An air pressure bearing including a bearing including an outer bearing race and inner bearing race with a bearing gap therebetween, mounted between an outer race support ring and inner race support structure. Pressurized air is monitored, for example air pressure and flow rate, and supplied to the bearing and exhausted from the bearing. A control module is used to adjust characteristics of the pressurized air to achieve design application parameters, such as load carrying, stiffness and dampening. A method of controlling an active air pressure bearing is also described, including providing and monitoring pressurized air and adjusting air supply to meet application design parameters.

By enabling the reader to download a corresponding plug-in file according to plug-in information selected by a user, i.e., downloading the corresponding plug-in file according to the user's needs, the size of a reader installation package in the present disclosure can be controlled effectively, thereby saving traffic.
