  • Publication number: 20130285454
Abstract: A solar power system includes a solar panel for converting solar power into direct current power. The solar power system further includes an electric power detecting device, an elevator mechanism, an electric current control unit and a fixing mechanism. The elevator mechanism mechanically pulls a weight under a direct current motor and drives the direct current motor to rotate to generate electric power when the weigh falls. The electric current control unit outputs the direct current power to the direct current motor when the direct current power is equal to a predetermined value and stops outputting the direct current power when the weight is pulled to a predetermined. The fixing mechanism keeps the weight staying at the predetermined height and enables the weight to fall so that the elevator mechanism driving the direct current motor to rotate to generate electric power.

  • Publication number: 20130113655
Abstract: Techniques for watching a location of a device with respect to a destination target include obtaining a current location of a device from a localization operation, calculating an interval, and performing a next localization operation after the interval has expired. The interval may be calculated based on a velocity and a distance from the current location to a destination target. The techniques may also include calculating a displacement distance from the current location and adjusting the interval based on the displacement distance to thereby adjust a time for performing the next localization operation. The techniques may include performing state detection to determine a motion state of the device and performing the next localization operation based on the determined motion state.

  • Publication number: 20120290867
Abstract: Described herein are technologies pertaining to matrix computation. A computer-executable algorithm that is configured to execute perform a sequence of computations over a matrix tile is received and translated into a global directed acyclic graph that includes vertices that perform a sequence of matrix computations and edges that represent data dependencies amongst vertices. A vertex in the global directed acyclic graph is represented by a local directed acyclic graph that includes vertices that perform a sequence of matrix computations at the block level, thereby facilitating pipelined, data-driven matrix computation.

  • Patent number: 8308699
Abstract: Substrates, optionally coated with an undercoating, having grafted thereto one or more non-fouling materials are described herein. The non-fouling, polymeric material can be grafted to a variety of functionalized substrate materials, particularly polymeric substrates and/or polymeric undercoatings immobilized on a substrate. The compositions described herein are highly resistant protein absorption, particularly in complex media and retain a high degree of non-fouling activity over long periods of time. The compositions described herein may also demonstrate antimicrobial and/or anti-thrombogenic activity. The non-fouling material can be grafted to a functionalized substrate, or optionally from an undercoating on the substrate, preferably without significantly affecting the mechanical and/or physical properties of the substrate material.
