Abstract: A computer enclosure includes an inner chassis, an input/output (I/O) module defining a number of I/O interfaces, a latching unit attached to the inner chassis, a resilient member connected between the I/O module and the inner chassis, a gear rack attached to the I/O module, and a damping gear assembly attached to the inner chassis and engaging with the gear rack. The I/O module is pivotably mounted to the inner chassis. The latching unit is capable of keeping the I/O module at a closed position where the I/O interfaces of the I/O module are unexposed. A movement of the I/O module is restrained by the damping gear.

Abstract: A battery cover latch mechanism (10) used in portable electronic device (100) is described including a cover member (11), a housing member (12), a latching assembly (13), and a return member (16). The latching assembly slides between a released position and a latched position. The return member is secured to the cover member including two elastic sheets (136) elastically resisting a same side of the latching assembly. The elastic sheets connect with each other. The elastic sheet is used to return the latching assembly towards the latched position.

Abstract: Embodiments of small footprint text-to-speech engine are disclosed. In operation, the small footprint text-to-speech engine generates a set of feature parameters for an input text. The set of feature parameters includes static feature parameters and delta feature parameters. The small footprint text-to-speech engine then derives a saw-tooth stochastic trajectory that represents the speech characteristics of the input text based on the static feature parameters and the delta parameters. Finally, the small footprint text-to-speech engine produces a smoothed trajectory from the saw-tooth stochastic trajectory, and generates synthesized speech based on the smoothed trajectory.

Abstract: A circuit for end-of-burst detection in a portion of a received bit stream is disclosed. The circuit comprises: a first counter for counting the number of bits in the portion, a second counter for counting the number of bit value transitions in the portion, and a circuit for comparing the counted number of bits in the portion and the counted number of bit value transitions therein with preset values, the circuit for comparing is further arranged for generating a signal indicative of end-of-burst detection based on the result of the comparison.

Abstract: Biodegradable and bioabsorbable block copolymers, which can be in the form of solid powder or powder wax compositions that can be easily reconstituted into an aqueous polymer solution and exhibit reverse thermal gellation properties upon exposure to elevated temperatures, are provided. A migration plan associated with the initial workflow process model and the new workflow process model is generated. The migration plan includes the at least one set of activities associated with the initial workflow process model. The migration plan is then used to evaluate a set of workflow instances associated with the initial workflow process model and migrate one or more of these workflow instances to the new workflow process model based thereon.

Abstract: The current invention describes a process and texturing solution for texturing a crystalline silicon substrate to provide a light trapping surface within a crystalline silicon based solar cell. In an embodiment the texturing process includes a pre-treatment of hydrofluoric acid followed by the application of a texturing solution that includes potassium hydroxide (KOH) and butanol. The application of the texturing solution may be followed by a hydrofluoric acid post-treatment. A combinatorial method of optimizing the textured surface of a crystalline silicon substrate is also described.

Abstract: A memory management system and method include and use a cache buffer (such as a table look-aside buffer, TLB), a memory mapping table, a scratchpad cache, and a memory controller. The cache buffer is configured to store a plurality of data structures. The memory mapping table is configured to store a plurality of addresses of the data structures. The scratchpad cache is configured to store the base address of the data structures. The memory controller is configured to control reading and writing in the cache buffer and the scratchpad cache. The components are operable together under control of the memory controller to facilitate effective searching of the data structures in the memory management system.

A method for measuring the level of molten metal is also disclosed.

The elastic protrusion is elastically bent by the restricting piece and secures the insert portion of the covering piece between the restricting piece and the panel.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a stream context cache system, which primarily includes a cache and a mapping table. The cache stores plural stream contexts, and the mapping table stores associated stream context addresses in a system memory. Consequently, a host may, according to the content of the mapping table, directly retrieve the stream context that is pre-fetched and stored in the cache, rather than read the stream context from the system memory.
