  • Publication number: 20180107462
Abstract: A system and method for rendering different user interfaces are provided. In one approach, a processing component receives data that is composed by a user and that specifies one or more metrics and one or more dimensions. Based on the data, the processing component analyzes log data comprising multiple events and generates output data that specifies (1) each dimension and a dimension value associated with each dimension and (2) each metric and a metric value that is associated with each metric and that is aggregated based on the dimension(s). A user interface component generates, based on the output data, a UI that comprises multiple UI elements. Generating the UI includes (1) identifying the dimension(s) specified in the output data and generating a UI element for each dimension and (2) identifying the metric(s) specified in the output data and generating a UI element for each metric.

  • Publication number: 20180034745
Abstract: A system for conserving resources in a multi-channel control system environment is provided. A resource limit that is associated with a content delivery campaign is determined. A prediction of resource usage that is associated with the content delivery campaign and a first content delivery channel is determined. A content request is received through a second content delivery channel that is different than the first content delivery channel. In response, based on data contained within the content request, the content delivery campaign is identified. Also, based on the resource limit and the prediction of resource usage associated with the content delivery campaign and the first content delivery channel, it is determined whether to respond to the content request with data associated with the content delivery campaign.

  • Publication number: 20170154357
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples, are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums which allow for providing estimated impressions for content given arbitrary frequency caps. Time series historical visit data about each targeted user group is condensed by calculating, for each user in a targeted user group, an arrival rate. The arrival rates for each user in the targeted user group are used to construct a distribution of arrival rates in the user group. Given an arbitrary frequency cap, the system samples a large number of arrival rates N from the targeted user group. For each of the N sampled arrival rates, a time series corresponding to the arrival rate is created from that arrival rate and a frequency cap is applied to the sampled time series' to arrive at an estimated impression count. Adding up the frequency capped impressions for each sampled arrival rate and normalizing it for the number of members in the targeted population yields a prediction of the number of impressions in a given time period.

  • Publication number: 20170004543
Abstract: A social networking system receives an advertisement from a user for posting on the system. The system verifies that the advertisement meets a first set of criteria, and in response to verifying that the advertisement meets the first set of criteria, the system receives a submission of the advertisement from the user for further processing. The system then verifies that the advertisement meets a second set of criteria, and in response to verifying that the advertisement meets the second set of criteria, the system immediately approves the advertisement for display on the system.

  • Publication number: 20160275571
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus are provided for pacing the serving of a sponsored content item. The rate of depletion of the sponsored content item, or the current rate at which it wins auctions to be served in response to compatible content requests is used to forecast the state of the item's periodic budget at the end of a current period. If the budget is not forecast to be depleted close to the end of the period, within a threshold measure of value or time, a new win rate that will accomplish the goal is determined. Based on past performance, which may be represented as a collection of estimated costs per impression (eCPI) or as ratios of the item's eCPI to a winning item's eCPI, a new bid can be determined that is estimated to yield the new win rate.

  • Publication number: 20160253709
Abstract: Techniques for forecasting for an advertisement campaign are described. A personalized communication system can receive a request for an advertisement campaign on a social network. The request can have a member attribute and a time frame. The personalized communication system can access member data and behavior data from the social network. Additionally, the personalized communication system can determine a target group based on the member data and the member attribute. Furthermore, the personalized communication system can calculate a number of unique visitors to the social network from the target group based on the member attribute, the time frame, and a frequency cap. Subsequently, the personalized communication system can forecast a number of messages for the first advertisement campaign based on the calculated number of unique visitors, the behavior data, and the time frame.

  • Patent number: 7170055
Abstract: Nanotubes and nanotube-based devices are implemented in a variety of applications. According to an example embodiment of the present invention, nanotube tips are coated with metal. In some applications, the metal coating facilitates the resolution of nano-scale magnetic features, such as features smaller than about 20 nanometers. In another embodiment, such metal-coated nanotubes are implemented with magnetic force microscopy (MFM) applications and adapted for implementation with structures and arrangements exhibiting a high aspect ratio, facilitating quantitative analysis of MFM data.
