    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for network controlled small gap (NCSG) configuration. In one novel aspect, the UE sends UE NCSG capability reports to the wireless network, receives a network NCSG configuration, which is based on the UE NCSG capability reports, and performs one or more measurements. In one embodiment, the UE NCSG capability report indicates whether the NCSG is supported by the UE, further includes the band combination for supported NCSG. In another embodiment, UE NCSG capability report further comprises a beam management type for each corresponding frequency band in frequency range-2 (FR2). The network NCSG configuration is received from a master node or a secondary node. In another embodiment, one configured NCSG overlaps with a configured measurement gap of the UE, the UE prioritizes the overlapped measurement gap or the NCSG based on predefined rules or information for the network.

The first resource pool can be divided into slots in time domain and sub-channels each occupying a set of PRBs in frequency domain. The first first-stage SCI having the first size of the number of OFDM symbols and the second size of the number of PRBs indicated by the configuration for the first resource pool can be transmitted within a first slot and a first sub-channel of the first resource pool.

When the AP CSI-RS is configured as the reference in the TCI of PDSCH, UE may apply the updated TCI for the PDSCH, after the corresponding aperiodic report has been received at the network. Spatial relation switch is based on the valid measurement report. The spatial relation switch delay of aperiodic SRS can be performed when UE has sent the corresponding measurement report to the network.

The UE performs interruption procedure allowing both the LTE V2X sidelink and the NR V2X sidelink to stop transmission or reception for a preconfigured period. Upon detecting the SL switching interruption event, the UE performs the interruption procedure on the Uu link of the UE for a preconfigured period. In one embodiment, a configured spatial relation of an uplink channel is Quasi-Co-Located (QCLed) to the source of a downlink reference signal (DL RS). In this QCLed relation, the active spatial relation switching shall differentiate known and unknown situation. In another embodiment, the configured spatial relation is QCLed to the root source of an uplink sounding reference signal (SRS). In this QCLed relation, the active spatial relation switching does not need to differentiate known and unknown situation. The proposed spatial relation switching shall apply for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and SRS transmission.
