During operation, the system receives a first check-figure which identifies a first area in a first layout, wherein the first area is associated with a first feature. Next, the system determines a first sample using the first check-figure, wherein the first sample represents the first layout's geometry within a first ambit of the first check-figure, wherein the first sample's geometry is expected to affect the shape of the first feature. The system then performs a model-based simulation using the first sample to obtain a first simulation-result which indicates whether the first feature is expected to have manufacturing problems. Next, the system stores the first simulation-result in a database which is used to quickly determine whether a second feature is expected to have manufacturing problems.

An upper and lower stopping rings with certain interval there between are disposed under the upper notched ring of the main shaft while a notched ring for string is slidable between the two stopping rings and a compression spring is between the notched ring for string and the lower stopping ring. A plurality of radial vertical slots with larger inner slots and smaller outer slots are disposed evenly on the notched ring for string so that one end of a plurality of strings is set into the vertical slot and restrained by a ring while the other end is connected to upper circumference of the lower canopy. And the connection point is located under a horizontal line formed by joints between the main ribs and the stretchers. Thereby a plurality of strings is easy to attach on the notched ring for string.

Abstract: A grip for an umbrella is provided on an outer wall with a through hole; at least one annular groove having a start point communicating with the through hole and a terminal point; a hook located at the terminal point of the groove; and an elastic strap having an inner end pressing against an inner side of the through hole, and an outer end outward extended through the through hole to form a loop portion having a turning section. The elastic strap could be wound around the groove with the turning section engaged with the hook, and is therefore prevented from tangling other articles in a container holding the umbrella that is not in use. Or, the elastic strap may be extended through a closed item with the turning section engaged with the hook to thereby externally hang the umbrella not in use to the closed item.

Abstract: A method for detecting motion pixels in image includes the following steps. The difference image between current image and background image is firstly obtained. Then, a binarization threshold from the distribution of all absolute pixel values in the difference image is found. All or part of the pixel values, in difference image, whose absolute values are smaller than or equal to the binarization threshold is used to compensate the effect of illumination change and to obtain an updated difference image. The updated difference image is then binarized, and the binarized updated difference image whose values are high are determined motion pixels.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and device for human face detection and recognition used in a preset environment. The human face detection device comprises a camera module, a synchronous image acquiring module, a human face detection module, a human face recognition module and a member face database module. The synchronous image acquiring module is used to acquire synchronously images photographed by the camera module. The human face detection module is used to detect if any human facial feature is presented in the image. If the human facial feature is confirmed, the image is transferred to the human face recognition module to extract the human feature from the image. Then, the extracted human facial feature is compared with member face data stored in the member face database module so that a recognition result which shows a person corresponding to the image is a legal or illegal member is generated.

Abstract: A lower nest structure for a collapsible umbrella is provided, which contains a tubular member and a body member. The tubular member is sleeved over the central shaft and contains a tubular section and an operation knob. A pair of guiding holes and a pair of wedges located below the guiding holes are interleaved around the tubular section. The body member has a ring section to sleeve over the tubular section of the tubular member. The ring section is confined by the bottom surfaces of the wedges and the operation knob. A pair of opposing hook elements is configured on top of the ring section which could be flexibly expanded outward, causing a force to clasp inward. On the top ends of the hook elements, reversed hooks are configured to penetrate through the guiding holes of the tubular member and into the positioning holes of the central shaft for fixedly positioning the lower nest.

Abstract: A string extraction method for an image based on multiple stroke width patterns matching is provided. The string extraction method includes matching each possible stroke width pattern with an input image for obtaining the similarities between the width patterns and each pixel, wherein the integrated similarity between each pixel and the stroke width patterns is namely an integrated computing result of all similarities between the pixel and all stroke width patterns.

Abstract: A method of facial features based human face recognition is disclosed. A human face and facial features thereof with respect to an input image corresponding to a person are first detected person by person by image processing technology. Then, each of such facial features for a plurality of persons are categorized into several categories and expressed to form a human facial features database for the plurality of persons. A to-be-searched or recognized human face image of a person is inputted. Then, the image is acquired with positions of the person's face and facial features by image processing technology and each of the facial features is categorized into several categories each with a specific expression. Then, according to the categories which the facial features of the person belongs to, the person may be recognized. As such, the purposes of human face search and recognition are achieved.

Different from the conventional black-and-white one- or two-dimensional barcode, the color scale uses assembly of color scales for various colors. Each assembly of multiple color scales represents one element, such that the information capacity is greatly increased. The user can order the ticket via phone or internet. When the user has successfully input the purchase information and complete the payment procedure, the electronic ticket service center can issue and transmit the electronic ticket containing the color scale code to the assigned device through multimedia or wireless transmission. The assigned device can be cellular phones or other mobile communication terminal devices. Upon entrance, the electronic ticket displayed by the cellular phones or the mobile communication terminals is verified by a ticket verification device.

Abstract: The image-based container defects detector consists of a plurality of camera units, a sensor unit, a frame grabber, and an image recognizer unit. The sensor unit serves to detect the vehicles entering the inspection station, and transmit a signal to the frame grabber for capturing the vehicle image by triggering the CCD camera thereby obtaining the information about the container's defect position and size. By dexterously utilizing image processing technique, the HIS (hue, saturation and intensity) color is employed to distinguish a normal area from a defected area in the container. Then quad-tree and merge is used to segregate image roughly. As for the non-defected area becoming obscured due to noise is removed using a filter. Finally the defected area is displayed on the screen. The present invention is well-suited for after detection as well as for on-line immediate detection for defect containers.

Abstract: A single integrated fault detection apparatus and method for detecting heat-related and non-heat-related integrated circuit defects is disclosed. In one embodiment, the present invention is an apparatus comprising a first portion for detecting non-heat-related integrated circuit defects. In this embodiment, the present invention further comprises a second portion for detecting heat-related integrated circuit defects. In the present embodiment, the second portion is integrated with the first portion to provide a single integrated fault detection apparatus such that the heat-related and the non-heat-related integrated circuit defects are detectable using only a single integrated fault detection apparatus.

The folding umbrella also includes a lower hub having an inward curved waist portion and a conic lower wall portion that provide an increased contact area for a user to comfortably and easily move the lower hub upward or downward to open or collapse the folding umbrella.
