Water pail equipped with air passageway

A water pail is equipped with an air passageway in a stopper to pass through external air so that contents contained in the water pail are smoothly exhausted out. Since the air passageway is provided to flow the external air into the stopper of the outlet, the contents contained in the water pail are smoothly exhausted out, thereby preventing the contents from being splashed out. Also, the production cost of the water pail can be reduced.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a water pail, and more particularly to a water pail equipped with an air passageway in a stopper to pass through external air so that contents contained in the pail are smoothly exhausted out. 2. Description of the Related Art

[0003] In general, as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, a related art water pail is constituted in such a manner that a stopper 1 for exhausting contents contained in the water pail is formed at an upper side of the water pail and the contents are exhausted out through an outlet 2 if necessary by opening the stopper 1.

[0004] The aforementioned related art water pail has several problems. Since the contents are exhausted out through one outlet 2, the contents are not exhausted out smoothly. If the contents are poured in a cup or a bowl, the contents are splashed out. For this reason, a problem arises in that the contents are wasted.

[0005] To solve such a problem, a hole 3 of a predetermined diameter is separately formed at the upper side of the water pail to flow external air. However, in this case, a problem still arises in that both sides should be opened to pour the contents in a cup or a bowl.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a water pail equipped with an air passageway, in which external air flows into a stopper of an outlet so that contents contained in the pail are smoothly exhausted out, thereby preventing the contents from being splashed out of the receiving container.

[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a water pail equipped with an air passageway, in which the production cost of the water pail can be reduced.

[0008] To achieve the above object, there is provided a water pail that can contain water and the like to exhaust out contents through a stopper of an outlet, the water pail comprising an air passageway to flow external air into the stopper of the outlet.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] The above objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0010] FIG. 1a is a front view showing a related art water pail;

[0011] FIG. 1b is a plane view showing a related art water pail;

[0012] FIG. 2a is a front view showing a water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 2b is a plane view showing a water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention;

[0014] FIG. 3 is a fragmentary sectional view of a water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention; and

[0015] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of an air passageway according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0016] A preferred embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description, same drawing reference numerals are used for the same elements even in different drawings. The matters defined in the description such as a detailed construction and elements of a circuit are nothing but the ones provided to assist in a comprehensive understanding of the invention. Thus, it is apparent that the present invention can be carried out without those defined matters. Also, well-known functions or constructions are not described in detail since they would obscure the invention in unnecessary detail.

[0017] FIG. 2a is a front view showing a pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention, FIG. 2b is a plane view showing a water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention, FIG. 3 is a fragmentary sectional view of a water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a perspective view of an air passageway according to the present invention.

[0018] As shown in the figures, a stopper 10 of an outlet is provided at an upper side of a water pail 20, and an air passageway 30 is provided inside the stopper 10 to smoothly flow external air when contents are exhausted out.

[0019] The air passageway 30 includes a bisection member 31 which is adhered to divide the inside stopper 10, and an air guide member 32 which is adhered to both sides of the lower bisection parts of the stopper 31 and adhered to form predetermined air passageway 40 with a predetermined height along the lower inside surface of stopper 10. Because the air guide member 32 is provided to be adhered along the inner surface of the stopper 10 and is provided not to be stuck at the inside surface of the side of the water pail 20, the bisection member of the stopper 31 needs not make a predetermined bend onto the side of the water pail 20.

[0020] The operation of the water pail equipped with an air passageway according to the present invention will now be described.

[0021] If a user desires to exhaust contents using the water pail of the present invention, the user opens the stopper 10 and slants the water pail at a predetermined angle. Thus, the contents in the pail 20 are exhausted out and at the same time the external air flows into the water pail through an air passageway 40.

[0022] To smoothly exhaust the contents without any vibration, the external air should flow into the water pail so that pressure variation within the water pail can be reduced due to exhaust of the contents. In other words, if a remaining space exists in the water pail due to exhaust of the contents, pressure difference continuously occurs in the water pail, thereby causing the contents to be splashed out and vibrated. Accordingly, the external air flows through the air passageway to uniformly maintain the pressure difference of the water pail, thereby preventing the contents from being splashed out and vibrated.

[0023] The water pail of the present invention is not limited to the exemplary drawings, and it is applicable to a beverage pail or a drum tub.

[0024] As aforementioned, the water pail of the present invention has the following advantages.

[0025] Since the air passageway is further provided to flow the external air into the stopper of the outlet, the contents in the water pail are smoothly exhausted out. Thus, it is possible to prevent the contents from being splashed out and to reduce the production cost of the water pail. Also, since the air passageway is detachably formed, it is possible to facilitate cleaning thereof.

[0026] While the invention has been shown and described with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
