Plastic fence assembly

A plastic fence assembly having a fence board, a corner board, and stretcher is easy and quick in combining a guarding fence because of all the joint places of the boards and the stretchers are composed of a tenon-mortise device. The stretcher is made of resilient plastic to allow the shape of the combined fence to have smooth curve and various types to coordinate with the gardening or horticulture.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a plastic fence assembly, especially a quickly assembled detached fence, which not only has a variety of types in the shapes of the assembled fence but also, can be combined without tool.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] Fences are used in the yards between the neighbor houses or in the gardens of the plants to keep gatecrashers, like dogs or strangers, away to avoid an incursion. Recently, small garden husbandry is popular and gardening lovers also use fences to decorate the their garden plot to add more attraction.

[0005] A conventional fence is made by wood boards and the boards are assembled by nails, therefore, it takes a lot of manpower to built a fence, especially when the range of the surrounded field is huge, it is hard to be accept the building way of the conventional fence. Meanwhile, the nails and edges of the boards are emerged apparently makes the conventional fence is not symmetrized in appearance when people view from two sides, and people easy to be injured by the rough edges and surfaces. This conventional fence needs to be painted after a period of time to keep it fresh and anticorrosive. Furthermore, because the wood boards are hard to be detached via the connection caused from the nails, changing rotted boards is inconvenient. In order to overcome such a trouble, a fabricated fence is invented to obviate this disadvantage to make the fence to be repaired section by section.

[0006] With reference to FIG. 7, a partly exploded view of a fabricated fence made in rigid material, major parts of fabricated fence are consisted of a post (80), a rail (95) and a middle post (90).

[0007] The post (80) rested on a post base (82) is combined with the post base (82) by several tacks (83), and the post base (82) is fasten to the ground by paling of long nails (84). A cap (86) covers a top face of the post (80) and a bracket (88) adheres to a side face of the post (80).

[0008] The middle post (90) rested on a base (93) has a trench (94) defined in a long side face facing to the rail (95) and a pointed heat (96) mounted on a top face of the post (90).

[0009] The rail (95) is a hollow tube and has a side face cut away to form a groove (91) to receive the middle post (90) with a connector (97) sandwiched inside, each distal end of the rail (95) is jointed to the bracket (88) of the post (80).

[0010] FIG. 8 shows a section of the fabricated fence in assembly, two middle posts (90) are erected between two posts (80) and all posts are connected by two rails (95) transversally. All bases of the post are positioned by paling of fixing and most of the other parts of the fabricated fence are combined by screwing. However, several drawbacks are existed as following list:

[0011] 1. Most of the rigid material is heavy and not easy to be transported, and the material cost is high, furthermore, rigid material such as iron is easy to be oxidized.

[0012] 2. The surrounding shapes of the fabricated fence made of rigid material is straight and changeless so that is not in harmony with the small gardening.

[0013] 3. Too many tiny fixing nails, tacks, backrests, and base . . . etc need to be fabricated that is not only inconvenience in producing for manufacturer but also time-consuming in combination for user.

[0014] 4. The fabricated fence is need to be painted after a period of time to prevent the oxidization of the iron fence or keep the fence in good appearance.

[0015] Therefore, to overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved plastic fence assembly, that is combined without using any tool and easy to be cleaned, to mitigate and obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0016] The main objective of the invention is that the combination of the plastic fence assembly is fast and does not need to use any tool.

[0017] Another objective of the invention is that this plastic fence assembly is endurable so that does not need to be painted and only use water to clean.

[0018] Still another objective of the invention is that a panorama of the plastic fence assembly is various and coordinated with the gardening or horticulture.

[0019] Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0028] The major part of a plastic fence assembly is consisted of a fence board (10), a stretcher (20), and a corner board (30). More particularly, the stretcher (20) is made of resilient material.

[0029] With reference FIG. 1, the fence board (10) has an extruded top and two broad side faces and two narrow side faces. The narrow side faces each has two mortises (12) defined in an upper portion and a lower portion of the narrow side faces. The mortises (12) on opposite narrow side faces of differently adjacent fence boards (10) are paired to each other.

[0030] The stretcher (20) is a long piece of resilient plastic and has two tenons (22) formed respectively at two oppositely distal ends of the stretcher (20).

[0031] The corner board (30) is a bent board and has a vertical joint line (32) in the middle of a board face of the corner board (30) to make the corner board having a sharp angle between two boards beside the joint line (32). The corner board (30) has different angles such as 30°, 60°, 90°, 120° . . . etc. Two narrow side faces of the corner board (30) also has two mortises (34) at an upper portion and a lower portion of the narrow side faces to make a pair with the corresponding mortises (12) of the adjacent fence boards (10).

[0032] In assembly, two stretchers (20) are respectively sandwiched between the adjacent fence boards (10) at the upper portion and the lower portion of the fence boards by inserting the tenons (22) of the stretchers (20) into the corresponding mortises (12) of the fence boards (10).

[0033] Now referring to FIG. 2, when the fence is combined to a length as desired, a lower portion of the fence boards (10) with the stretcher (20) combined thereof is embedded into a ditch (40) defined in the ground. Then the soil is pressed tightly and firmly to secure the foot of the plastic fence. The resilient stretcher (20) bent along the ditch (40) with a demanded corner board (30) erected at corners of the ditch (40) sometimes so that the plastic fence follows the path of the ditch (40) to make a desired shape of finished plastic fence.

[0034] Different embodiments in tenon (22) and mortise (12) are shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5. FIG. 3 is a round tenon (22a) of the stretcher (20) and a corresponding round mortise (12a) of the fence board (10). FIG. 4 is an arrow tenon (22b) of the stretcher (20) and a corresponding arrow mortise (12b) of the fence board (10). Moreover, FIG. 5 is a tapered tenon (22c) of the stretcher (20) and a corresponding tapered mortise (12c) of the fence board (10).

[0035] FIG. 6 shows an irregular shape of the finish plastic fence that has straight sections and smooth sections with corner boards (30) with different angles. Therefore, it is easy to be speculated some simple and regular shapes such as round, rectangle, hexagon, octangle, even heart or start . . . etc are put into operation.

[0036] According to the aforementioned description about this plastic fence assembly, several advantages are concluded as following:

[0037] 1. The combining method of the plastic fence assembly is simple and easy so that users do not need to use any tool in the process of combining and can save a lot of time.

[0038] 2. The shape of the surrounding plastic fence assembly is various, more particularly in curve, and can be coordinated with the gardening or horticulture.

[0039] 3. The cost of producing this plastic fence assembly is low and because all the elements the this invention are simple so that they are made by extruding forming and produced in a large number in a short time.

[0040] 4. The weight of this invention is light so that the transportation is convenient.

[0041] 5. The surface of the plastic fence is smooth to obviate the danger of occasional abrasion, and moreover, the plastic fence assembly no need to be painted and is easy to be cleaned.

[0042] 6. The plastic fence is endurable in all kinds of weather and has long using life, and that is to be to users benefit.

[0043] 7. Once one of the boards or the stretchers is damaged or broken, the replacement of a new one is easy.

[0044] Therefore, the plastic fence assembly is practical and useful with those advantages.

[0045] Although the preferred embodiments of this invention has been shown and described, the detailed changes can be concluded on the base of the concept of this invention, it is recognized that many variations are possible as following claims.

Claims

1. A plastic fence assembly comprising:

a fence board having at least one mortise defined in each opposite side faces of the fence board;
a corner board bent along a vertically joint line and forming an angle of the fence; and
a stretcher having a tenon at each distal end of the stretcher and the tenon is corresponding to the mortise of the adjacent board.

2. The plastic fence assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said board having an extruded top.

3. The plastic fence assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the stretcher is made of resilient plastic.

4. The plastic fence assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tenon of the stretcher is a round tenon and the corresponding mortise of the fence board or the corner board is a round mortise.

5. The plastic fence assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tenon of the stretcher is an arrow tenon and the corresponding mortise of the fence board or the corner board is an arrow mortise.

6. The plastic fence assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tenon of the stretcher is a tapered tenon and the corresponding mortise of the fence board or the corner board is a tapered mortise.
