[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a nail grinder, and more particularly, to a nail grinder which enables a more clean nail grinding work by preventing grinding efficiency from being reduced and preventing nail powders from being scattered in such a manner that ground nail powders are prevented from being stacked on the surface of an abrasive cloth by wiping nail powders generated in grinding nails right away in its grinding process by arranging abrasive clothes having a different roughness surface to thus gradually perform a nail grinding work and attaching a fabric paper having adsorptivity at one side of a base.
[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art
[0004] Generally, a nail grinder is used for smoothly grinding a cut nail surface since that portion is made angular or rough when the nail is cut by a nail clipper for the purpose of attaining beautiful results.
[0005] Such a nail grinder has a wide variety of shapes, but it is generally constituted to form a knurled, jagged surface at both sides of a base of a metal plate shape with a knob at its rear, thereby performing a nail grinding work by the jagged surface.
[0006] However, in the prior art nail grinder having the jagged surface for grinding nails at the base surface of a metal plate shape, there occurs a problem that a nail grinding work cannot be performed more effectively from a user's point of view since the base surface for finishing the jagged surface is limited to upper and lower surfaces and thus it is made impossible to form the roughness surface of the jagged surface in various ways in the limited space of the base surface.
[0007] Therefore, to solve the above problem, a nail grinder of a bar shape has been recently suggested which is allowed to perform a nail grinding work gradually by forming the base portion in a hexahedron shape in order to secure a plurality of space areas and selectively attaching abrasive clothes having a different roughness surface at the respective surface (six surfaces) of the base portion.
[0008] However, although such a grinder of a bar shape has an advantage in use in that it can grind a cut nail gradually by means of the abrasive clothes having a different particle size, each being selectively attached to the respective side of the base, this advantage is limited to the function of the prior art general nail grinder for grinding a rough portion of a cut nail surface. For example, this nail grinder cannot treat nail powders generated in grinding nails effectively, which is a problem commonly occurred in the process of using a general nail grinder.
[0009] In other words, it is inevitable that nail powders are generated in the nail grinding process. The thusly generated nail powders usually get stuck around nails as they are due to the sweat from fingers and electrostatic phenomenon. Thus, most people performs a grinding work while unconsciously blowing out the nail powders around the nails in their grinding process, thereby making this nail grinding work unsanitary and making circumstances dirty.
[0010] In addition, when a large quantity of nail powders is generated in a nail grinding process, the generated nail powders gradually covers the surface of an abrasive cloth constituting an grinding surface. This reduces grinding efficiency of nails and makes it difficult to separate the nail powder from the abrasive cloth of the grinding surface covered with the nail powders.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION[0011] It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a nail grinder which enables a more clean nail grinding work by preventing grinding efficiency from being reduced and preventing nail powders from being scattered in such a manner that ground nail powders are prevented from being stacked on the surface of an abrasive cloth by wiping nail powders generated in grinding nails right away in its grinding process by arranging abrasive clothes having a different roughness surface to thus gradually perform a nail grinding work and attaching a fabric paper having adsorptivity at one side of a base.
[0012] To achieve the above object, there is provided a nail grinder in accordance with the present invention, which is used for grinding an angular or rough portion of a cut nail surface after cutting a nail by a nail clipper, characterized in that: a base constituting the framework of the nail grinder includes a grinding surface having abrasive clothes of a different particle size selectively attached to one of upper and lower sides of□the base and an adsorption surface having a fabric paper for effectively adsorbing nail powders generated in a nail grinding process using the grinding surface at the other side of the base.
[0013] In addition, the nail grinder in accordance with the present invention is characterized in that: the base of the nail grinder having a three-dimensional shape includes a grinding surface having abrasive clothes of a different particle size selectively attached to each of the sides of the base excepting one side and an adsorption surface having a fabric paper for effectively adsorbing nail powders generated in a nail grinding process using the grinding surface at the one side of the base.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS[0014] The above objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
[0015] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a nail grinder in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention; and
[0016] FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a nail grinder in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT[0017] A nail grinder in accordance with the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0018] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a nail grinder in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
[0019] As illustrated therein, in the nail grinder in accordance with the present invention, a base 140 of the nail grinder usually has a flat plate shape which is used for grinding an angular or rough portion of a cut nail surface after cutting a nail by a nail clipper.
[0020] The flat plate shaped base 140 includes a grinding surface 110 having abrasive clothes 112 of a different particle size selectively attached to one of upper and lower sides of□the base 140 and an adsorption surface 120 having a fabric paper 122 for effectively adsorbing nail powders generated in a nail grinding process using the abrasive clothes 112 of the grinding surface 110 at the other side of the base 140.
[0021] Each abrasive cloth 112 of the grinding surface 110 and the fabric paper 122 provided at the adsorption surface 120 are closely attached to both sides of□the base 140 by an adhesive layer 130.
[0022] FIG. 2 is a perspective view illustrating a nail grinder in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.
[0023] In this embodiment of the present invention, a base 240 of the nail grinder having a hexahedral three-dimensional shape includes a grinding surface 210 having abrasive clothes of a different particle size selectively attached to each of the sides of the base 240 excepting one side and an adsorption surface 220 having a fabric paper 222 for effectively adsorbing nail powders generated in a nail grinding process using the abrasive clothes 212 of the grinding surface 210 at the one side of the base 240.
[0024] The thusly constituted nail grinder of the present invention can perform a nail grinding work gradually and can perform a more clean nail grinding work by preventing nail powders generated in grinding nails from being scattered in its grinding process. Furthermore, it can prevents the reduction of grinding efficiency due to nail powders by preventing ground nail powders from being stacked between fine jagged surfaces of the abrasive clothes.
[0025] In the present invention, in case of grinding a cut nail surface, firstly, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings, a nail surface grinding is performed by gradually using each of the abrasive clothes 112 or 212 provided at one side of the base 140 or 240 (For example, it is preferable that grinding is performed in order of the roughness of grinding particles of the surfaces of the abrasive clothes 112 or 212).
[0026] Meanwhile, in the nail surface grinding process, ground nail powders are generated due to the friction with the abrasive clothes 112 or 212. The generated nail powders get stuck around the corresponding nail surface ground due to electrostatic phenomenon caused by the friction.
[0027] At this time, in the present invention, the nail powders generated in the grinding process can be removed by using the adsorptivity of the fabric paper 122 or 222 formed at the one side of the base 140 or 240. That is, ground particles stuck to nail surfaces can be easily adsorbed by using the electrostatic effect of the fabric paper 222.
[0028] The fabric paper 122 or 222 adapted to the present invention can be made of a wide variety of materials and in a wide variety of shapes. It is preferred to select the kind of a material that prevents nail powders of a fine particle shape stuck to the surface of the fabric paper 122 or 222 from being easily scattered and blown out by wind or something and makes nail powders stuck to the surface of the fabric paper 122 separated and removed by a predetermined physical force applied to the adsorption surface 120 or 220.
[0029] The present invention enables a more clean nail grinding work by preventing grinding efficiency from being reduced and preventing nail powders from being scattered in such a manner that ground nail powders are prevented from being stacked on the surface of an abrasive cloth by wiping nail powders generated in grinding nails right away in its grinding process by arranging abrasive clothes having a different roughness surface to thus gradually perform a nail grinding work and attaching a fabric paper having adsorptivity at one side of a base.
[0030] While the invention has been shown and described with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
