BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0019] The invention will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0020] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the sequential board game constructed in accordance with the principles of the present invention.

[0021] FIG. 2 is a partial plan view of the present invention illustrating a partial sequence.

[0022] FIG. 3 is a partial plan view of the present invention illustrating a complete sequence.

[0023] The same reference numerals refer to the same parts through the various figures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0024] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular, to FIGS. 1 through three thereof, the preferred embodiment of the new and improved sequential board game embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention and generally designated by the reference number 10 will be described.

[0025] Specifically, it will be noted in the various Figures that the device relates to a sequential board game for attempting to align two sequences in order to be declared a winner of the game. In its broadest context, the device consists of a game board, two decks of playing cards, and three sets of chips. Such components are individually configured and correlated with respect to each other so as to attain the desired objective.

[0026] The game board 12 has a hundred spaces 14 disposed thereon. The spaces 14 correspond with playing cards whereby there will be two spaces for each playing card 16 and four joker spaces except for jacks. Note FIG. 1. Two decks of cards 18 are shuffled together into a single deck 20. Two different sets of colored chips 22 are provided to two teams. One set of white chips 24 is provided to signify a completed sequence. Five cards are dealt out to each of two teams. The object of the game is to attempt to align five spaces 14 in horizontal, diagonal, and vertical rows to complete a sequence corresponding with the card's 16. To end the game, one team must get two sequences of five.

[0027] To start the game, each player or team is dealt five cards with the remaining cards set aside as a draw pile. Each team then lays one of their cards down and places a chip on the space on the game board 12 corresponding with that card. Each team then pulls another card from the draw pile. Each team must have five cards in their hand at all times. The teams will then, taking alternating turns, lay down cards in order to achieve a sequence of five. Note FIG. 2. The four jokers on the game board 12 spaces are free spaces—that is each player can use these spaces to complete a sequence. Since there are no jacks on the game board 12, these cards have unique capabilities. The two-eyed jacks are wild cards, allowing a team to place a chip on any space they want. The one-eyed jacks can be used to remove an opponent's chip from a particular space on the game board 12. However, the use of the one-eyed jack can only remove a chip. Only if a team possesses another card matching the space can place another chip on it.

[0028] Once four chips are in a sequence, the one-eyed jacks should be used as a defense to block the sequence from completion unless the defensive team has the proper card to be used to block the opponent.

[0029] Once a team has a completed sequence, the white chips are placed over the sequence to prevent the removal of these chips. Thus, once a sequence has been completed, none of the chips comprising the sequence can be removed. Note FIG. 3.

[0030] As to the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

[0031] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and the manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

[0032] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modification and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modification and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
