Bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk assembly

A bathroom hanger in combination with multiple suction disk assemblies, a telescopic tube clamped between the suction disk assemblies, multiple shelves mounted on the telescopic tube, multiple arms extending from the telescopic tube, and a showerhead holder mounted on the telescopic tube. The suction disk assemblies are able to remain securely sucked to a bathroom wall due to pressure of a knob to a suction disk in each of the suction disk assemblies such that the bathroom hanger is securely mounted to the bathroom wall by the suction disk assemblies and the bathroom hanger will not easily fall from the wall.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a bathroom hanger, and more particularly to a bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk assembly, wherein the suction disk assembly is able to firmly engage with a bathroom wall.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] Bathroom hangers, for hanging towels and various purposes, are commonly seen in an ordinary family bathroom. In order to be mounted on a bathroom wall, a majority of bathroom hangers use suction disks to suck on the wall. The advantages of using the suction disk instead of a screw or a nail are of being able to provide attachment without damaging the wall or using special tools. Further comparing using the suction disk and a sticky pad to fix the bathroom hanger on the wall will find that the suction disk is able to be easily released from the wall, not like the sticky pad which may only be released under a strong force such that the sticker will not be reusable.

[0005] However, the disadvantage of using a suction disk for the bathroom hanger is that the suction disk can not provide a secure attachment of the bathroom hanger to the bathroom wall. For example, in operation the moistened suction disk is pushed against the wall such that air between the disk and the wall is expelled to create a low pressure that provides the attachment force. This low pressure is often imperfect and gradually fails whereby the bathroom hanger falls from the wall, leading to a mess and irritation of the users.

[0006] To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk assembly, such that the suction disk assembly is able to reliably suck to a bathroom wall, and thus the bathroom hanger is securely mounted on the bathroom wall.

[0008] Another objective of the present invention is to provide a bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk assembly which is able to provide holding of a showerhead, hanging towels, and placing items such as soap, shampoo, sponge . . . etc..

[0009] Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0019] With reference to FIG. 1, a bathroom hanger in combination with a suction disk assembly in accordance with the present invention includes two suction disk assemblies (10), a telescopic tube (20), two arms (30), two shelves (50), and a showerhead holder (70).

[0020] With reference to FIG. 2, the suction disk assemblies (10) are identical and each has a suction disk (101) with a stud (1011) extending outwardly from a center of a top surface of the suction disk (101). A cap (102) has a through hole (1021) centrally defined therein with a configuration that is able to allow the stud (1011) to freely extend therethrough. A knob (103) has a stud hole (1031) defined in a bottom surface of the knob (103) and a tapered hole (1032) extending through a head of the knob (103) in a direction perpendicular to the stud hole (1031).

[0021] The telescopic tube (20) has two tapered ends (201) with a configuration to mate the tapered holes (1032) and each tapered end has ridged outer surface (B shown in FIG. 4).

[0022] With reference to FIG. 4, the arms (30) are identical and each has a joint (40) mounted on one end of the arm (30). A stepped bore (41) with a spring ball combination (42) retained inside is defined in the joint (40). A second through hole (44) extending perpendicularly to the step bore (41) is also defined in the joint (40) and communicates with the stepped bore (41).

[0023] The shelves (50) are identical and each has a first positioning device (51) extending from a corner of the shelf (50), and the first positioning device (51) has a first eccentric ring (511) rotatably mounted on the first positioning device (51). The telescopic tube (20) is able to extend through the positioning device (51) and the eccentric ring (511). A retaining sucking cup (501) is mounted on a side wall of the shelf (50) to retain the shelf (50) from rotating.

[0024] The showerhead holder (70) is mounted to a second positioning device (71) which has a second eccentric ring (711), wherein the second positioning device (71) is the same as the first positioning device (51).

[0025] With reference to FIGS. 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D, when applying the suction disk assembly (10) onto a bathroom wall, a bottom surface of the suction disk (101) first completely engages the wall, then the cap (102) is disposed onto the top surface of the suction disk (101) with the stud (1011) extending through the through hole (1021). The knob (103) is screwed onto the suction disk (101) by threadingly engaging the stud (1011) and the stud hole (1031). When screwing the knob (103) onto the suction disk (101), the bottom surface of the knob (103) first engages a top surface of the cap (102) defining the through hole (1021), and further screwing the knob pushes the cap (102) to the suction disk (101) thus exerting force on an edge (1022) of the cap (102) that engages with the suction disk (101). As the stud (1011) is drawn into the stud hole (1031) but the circumference of the suction disk (101) is held in place by the edge (1022) of the cap (102), a central portion of the suction disk (101) is pulled away from the wall to create a low pressure. By varying the depth of the stud (1011) in the stud hole (1031), the intensity of the low pressure can be varied.

[0026] With reference to FIG. 4, the arms (30) are clamped on the telescopic tube (20) by the spring ball combination (42) abutting the ridged surface (B) of the telescopic tube (20).

[0027] With reference to FIGS. 5A and 5B, the shelves (50) are clamped on the telescopic tube (20) by rotating the first eccentric rings (511) to clamp the ridged surface (B) of the telescopic tube (20) between an inner surface (A) of the first eccentric rings (5 1 1) and an inner surface (C) of the first positioning device (51). The showerhead holder (70) is also clamped on the telescopic tube (20) by rotating the second eccentric ring (711) and clamping the telescopic tube (20) between the second positioning ring (711) and the second positioning device (71) in a same manner used in the first eccentric ring (511) and the first positioning device (51).

[0028] To continue assembling the bathroom hanger, the telescopic tube (20) together with the arms (30), the shelves (50), and the showerhead holder (70) are clamped between the suction disk assemblies (10) which are sucked on the bathroom wall with the tapered ends (201) of the telescopic tube (20) abutting an inner surface defining the tapered holes (1031) of the knobs (103). The retaining sucking cups (501) of the shelves (50) are also sucked to the bathroom wall to provide retaining of the shelves (50) and thus prevents rotating of the shelves (50).

[0029] From the above description, it is noted that the invention has the following advantages:

[0030] 1. the suction disk assembly is able to securely suck and remain sucked on the bathroom wall such that the bathroom hanger is able to be securely retained on the wall by the suction disk assemblies.

[0031] 2. the bathroom hanger is able to fulfill need of a multi-purpose bathroom hanger on which it is able to hang towels, holding showerhead, and place items such as soap, shampoo . . . etc..

[0032] It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
