Abstract

A tool box has a base casing and a cover casing engaging with the base casing. The base casing and the cover casing each has two rows of sockets to receive bits and screwdrivers. A hanging plate is disposed on a top portion of the base casing. A hook and an elastic clamp are disposed on the base casing. The elastic clamp engages with the hook. An opening is defined between the hook and the elastic clamp.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a tool box. More particularly, the present invention relates to a tool box which receives bits and screwdrivers.

[0002] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a conventional tool box 1 has a base casing 3 and a cover casing 2 engaging with the base casing 3. The base casing 3 has a plurality of sockets 4 disposed on a middle portion of the base casing 3 to receive screwdrivers 5. A hook 6 is disposed on the base casing 3. The hook 6 is hooked on a waistband of a user (not shown in the figures). However, the hook 6 is easily detached from the waistband of the user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] An object of the present invention is to provide a tool box which has an elastic clamp engaging with a hook so that the hook will not be detached from a waistband of a user while the hook is hooked on the waistband of the user.

[0004] Another object of the present invention is to provide a tool box which has two rows of sockets in order to receive a large number of bits.

[0005] Accordingly, a tool box comprises a base casing and a cover casing engaging with the base casing. Each of the base casing and the cover casing has two rows of sockets. A hook and an elastic clamp are disposed on the base casing. The elastic clamp engages with the hook. An opening is defined between the hook and the elastic clamp.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0017] Referring to FIGS. 4 to 6, a tool box comprises a base casing 12 and a cover casing 11 engaging with the base casing 12. Each of the base casing 12 and the cover casing 11 has two rows of sockets 13 to receive bits 14 and screwdrivers 15.

[0018] A hanging plate 16 is disposed on a top portion of the base casing 12.

[0019] The hanging plate 16 has a slot 17.

[0020] A hook 18 and an elastic clamp 19 are disposed on the base casing 12.

[0021] The elastic clamp 19 engages with the hook 18.

[0022] An opening 20 is defined between the hook 18 and the elastic clamp 19.

[0023] Referring to FIG. 7, each of the base casing 12 and the cover casing 11 has two rows of sockets 13 to receive long screwdrivers 15′.

[0024] Referring to FIG. 8, each of the base casing 12 and the cover casing 11 has two rows of sockets 13 to receive short screwdrivers 15″.

[0025] The invention is not limited to the above embodiment but various modification thereof may be made. Further, various changes in form and detail may be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A tool box comprises:

a base casing and a cover casing engaging with the base casing,

each of the base casing and the cover casing having two rows of sockets,

a hook and an elastic clamp disposed on the base casing,

the elastic clamp engaging with the hook, and an opening defined between the hook and the elastic clamp.

2. The tool box as claimed in claim 1, wherein a hanging plate is disposed on a top portion of the base casing and the hanging plate has a slot.
