Abstract: In the present invention, a package for supporting at least one consumable product is provided. The package includes a support member for supporting the at least one consumable product, a flexible package for enclosing the support member and the at least one product, and a closure mechanism configured to transit the package between open and closed positions. The flexible package has a line of weakness and a flap defined and positioned near an area formed by the line of weakness. When the flap is pulled, it ruptures the line of weakness and creates an opening to allow access to the at least one consumable product.

Abstract: A method for producing a packaging, and in particular a film packaging having a bubble-like receiving cavity, in particular for producing a blister pack, comprising the following steps: overlapping at least two film elements, shaping at least one receiving cavity for receiving at least one object to be packaged between the overlapping film elements, and connecting the at least two film elements along a shared sealed edge region extending at least partially around the periphery of the receiving cavity, and in particular by way of at least one sealing weld joint, so as to seal the receiving cavity, wherein the two film elements are designed without any intermediate space on the sealing edge region projecting from the same, wherein opening means, which allow simplified access to the receiving cavity, are provided.

Abstract: A fold open face seal package is provided. The package may comprise a one or two-piece thermoformed blister adhered to a backing card. In the one piece embodiment upper and lower portions of the blister are connected by one or more hinges. In the two-piece embodiment the blister is cut into upper and lower pieces which are adhered to the backing card. The package may be opened by folding the backing card back along a bend line and then reclosed for later use.

Abstract: A packing tray for a rechargeable battery is disclosed. In one aspect, the tray includes a bottom portion and an inner wall connected to the bottom portion. The bottom portion and the inner wall define a receiving space configured to receive a battery cell. The inner wall includes upper and lower portions. The lower portion extends upwardly, and the upper portion is outwardly curved such that the upper portion is wider than the lower portion.

Abstract: A tray for displaying a product for sale, where the tray includes a re-closeable lid. The tray includes a base having a peripheral side wall with a rim bounding an opening to a cavity which retains the product. A portion of the lid is permanently engaged with a section of the base. The rest of the lid is selectively engageable with the rest of the base and is movable between open and closed positions. When closed, a part of the lid is positioned laterally adjacent the rim and is located in a common plane therewith. The edges of the rim and lid frictionally engage each other to secure the base and lid together. The movable part of the lid, which includes a frame member and flexible film, rotate about a living hinge in the frame member. A latching mechanism is engaged to keep the lid and base engaged.

The elongated cover section includes first and second lateral walls and first and second end walls defining a cover compartment that fits over the elongated wiper blade receiving section. At least one projection is formed on an inner surface of the first lateral wall for engaging the at least one aperture formed within the outer wall segment of the contoured wall, thereby retaining the cover section over the wiper blade receiving section.

Abstract: An accessible display box employs a front portion attached to a rear portion with a hinge. A front hanger bar receiver is centered in a top rim of the front portion and a rear hanger bar receiver extends from the rear portion aligned with the front hanger bar receiver. A releasable engagement mechanism secures the front portion and rear portion allowing the box to be easily opened for access to the carried product.

Abstract: A removable faceplate for a portable electronic device is provided. The faceplate permits a user to change the physical appearance of a surface of the device while retaining access to the mechanisms for controlling the function of the device. Preferably, the removable faceplate and electronic device are configured with a means for association and dissociation that can be activated without the use of a tool and the means is not visible when the faceplate is attached. Additionally, an improved packaging system is provided to enable a vendor or manufacturer to package faceplates with the devices that they will cover and to allow substitution of faceplates in the packaging without disturbing the packaging of the electronic device itself. Further, there is a method for distribution of the packaging system.

Abstract: A slide card for selective insertion and withdrawal from a sleeve includes a base panel, a locking panel and at least one embossment. The locking panel is integrally formed with the base panel and hingedly connected to one of the opposing end edges of the base panel to engage at least part of the sleeve to lock the base panel in the sleeve. The locking panel extends from the one of the opposing end edges of the base panel to its free end edge that is located opposed to the one of the opposing end edges of the base panel. The at least one embossment is formed on one of the opposed surfaces of the base panel. The at least one embossment projects from the one of the opposed surfaces of the base panel and is spaced apart from receiving blisters on the base panel.

Abstract: A protection case for a portable electronic device includes a case having a front part and a rear part, and the portable electronic device is accommodated between the front and rear parts. A rear cover is connected to the rear part and a front cover is connected to the front part. The front cover has a front decoration plate, a connection member and a locking member. The front decoration plate is removably connected to the front part. The connection member is flexible and has a first end connected to the front decoration plate and a second end of the connection member is clamped between the front and rear parts. The locking member has a hook hooked with the groove. The protection case can be easily replaced and changed.

Abstract: Packaging configured to contain an item is made from a pre-formed plastic web from which a user-graspable tear tab extends to enable removal of the item from the packaging. Preferred embodiments each include a plastic web in the form of a pocket and positioned between front and back lidding sheets that have adhesive sections bonded together to form unitary packaging. The pocket is sized to pass through a pocket-receiving aperture in the front lidding sheet and retains and displays the packaged item. The tear tab outwardly extends from a peripheral flange from which the plastic web depends. A score line boundary formed in one of the front and back lidding sheets circumscribes or partly circumscribes at least a majority of the pocket receiving aperture and allows removal of the item by a user pulling the tear tab to tear open the packaging along the score line boundary.

Abstract: A package for accommodating, storing, displaying and transporting an article, such as, pharmaceutical products. The package has a receptacle mountable to a paperboard. The mountable receptacle has a clamshell for receiving, for example, one or more blister cards. The clamshell has a first portion having a first edge and a second portion having a second edge, which opposes the first edge. The mountable receptacle has an extension connected at least to the second edge through a breakable mechanism. The extension is attached to a surface of the paperboard, such that the clamshell can be detached from the paperboard by breaking the breakable mechanism.

The front wall (2) and the rear wall (1) have a circumferential joint (4). Inwardly of said circumferential joint (4) a weakened region (7) is present in at least one of the front and rear walls (1,2), which weakened region (7) is tearable by a user to separate the front and rear walls (1,2). Said weakened region (7) has two end portions which are located inwardly of said peripheral region, so that the weakened region (7) can be torn after the user has made a cut in the walls (1,2).

Abstract: A reclosable package well suited for holding pre-curved beam-type wiper blades in a package cavity formed in a base that releasably engages with a cover via a reclosable closure arrangement that includes an arrangement of bar snaps each formed of a bar with an elongated bulbous head received in a complementarily configured bar snap pocket during package closure. Each bar includes inclined endwalls that facilitate location and entry of the head into a narrower mouth of the pocket until the head is received in a head-anchoring chamber releasably clamping the bar head in place. The closure arrangement can include an interlocking rib-and-channel arrangement having a rib segment extending along a hinge joining the cover to the base and rib sections extending along end flanges and part of an outer flange that stiffen and strengthen the package while guiding bar snaps into snap-fit engagement during package closure.

Abstract: A clamshell packaging system having a first side portion, a second side portion, and a base portion is provided with a three-dimensional hinge structure and a standing feature. The first side portion is attached to the base portion via a first hinge joint and the second side portion is attached to the base portion via a second hinge joint wherein the second side portion is closeable upon the first side portion to provide an enclosed clamshell. The base portion further includes a third hinge joint and a fourth hinge joint each of which extends between the first hinge joint and the second hinge joint in a direction that is generally transverse to at least a portion of each of the first hinge joint and the second hinge joint. The base portion additionally has at least one flat portion disposed between the third hinge joint and the fourth hinge joint upon which the clamshell packaging system is standable.

According to one aspect, a carrier package arrangement includes a holder and a plurality of transaction cards. The transaction cards are retained on the holder, and are arranged to be transitioned form an unactivated state to an activated state using a first activation code. The carrier package arrangement can also include a case that can contain the holder and the plurality of transaction cards.

Abstract: A recyclable blister pack system is provided, including a substrate having a dry tack cohesive adhesive layer deposited on one of its surfaces and a blister layer for receiving a product. The properties of the dry tack cohesive are selected so the blister layer is separable from the substrate without leaving substantial substrate residue on the blister layer. This improves the recyclability of the blister layer.

Abstract: A wiper package assembly for use in packaging a pre-curved wiper blade. The wiper package assembly generally includes a package and a pair of end caps fittable onto the wiper blade and into the package. The package and end caps may be configured to cooperatively hold the pre-curved wiper blade in an at least partially straightened condition. The end caps may be configured to engage the wiper blade without altering the shape of the wiper blade tip, thereby reducing the risk of the wiper tip becoming deformed during by the package. In one embodiment, the end caps are ambidextrous in the sense that identical end caps can be used on opposite ends of the wiper blade. The end cap may include two support slots configured to correspond with the shape of the opposite ends of an asymmetrical wiper blade.

Abstract: A clamp for an elongated tube style white such as a versa tube. The clamp has one fixed side that holds the versa tube's mounting structure therein. The other side of the clamp is movable, and pivots between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the lamp is held into place, and in the open position the lamp can be removed. A single screw that holds the clamp into the open or closed position is knurled and hence the device can be removed without any tools. The two sides of the clamp occupy different longitudinal positions so that they can be placed directly next to each other, and one opened without moving or disturbing the other since the two sides are in different longitudinal positions.

Abstract: A reclosable package having a blister with an outer wall defining an article-holding cavity in communication with a cavity opening that includes a door attached by a hinge and configured to seat in the opening with engagement between the door and a cavity-opening defining side or edge helping keep the door closed. In one embodiment, the door includes an indented portion that frictionally engages at least one and preferably a plurality of cavity-opening defining side when closed. Such an indented portion can include an undercut that underlies part of the adjacent cavity-opening defining side when the door is closed having an interference fit therebetween that can be a snap fit. The package can also be configured to provide releasable engagement between part of the door and part of the blister outer wall when the door is closed that can be in the form of a bar snap.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a bubble package which allows a product to be displayed independently standing alone or hanging from a bracket/shelf, and also provides the ability to separate the paper and plastic portions of the package into at least two separate environmentally recycled portions. The paper based portion of the package operates as a display card and/or as a stiffener. The sides of the one or more display cards are bonded to one another to enclose the product within the plastic and prevent tampering with the product. The plastic portion, in addition to containing and displaying the product therein, optionally incorporates a base near the bottom of the package. The base protrudes from the bottom of the package and secures back onto the plastic portion via a securing mechanism. This arrangement allows the package to stand independent. Optionally, a corrugated plastic insert can be used to provide additional support to the unit.
