Floor assembly

Abstract

A floor assembly includes a plurality of floor units and each of the floor units has four sides. Four recesses are defined in four corners of each of the floor units and the floor units are connected with each other side by side. A plurality of fixed members are fixed on the ground and engaged with the recesses of the floor units.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a floor assembly comprising a plurality of fixed members which are engaged with openings formed between floor units so as to prevent the floor units from sliding.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] A conventional floor assembly is shown in FIG. 1 and generally includes a plurality of floor units 10 and each of the floor units 10 has serrated edges 11 so that the floor units 10 are combined with each other by engaging the respective serrated edges 11. An inherent shortcoming is that the serrated edges 11 could be peeled off or protrude from the top surface of the floor because the users slide or run on the floor units 10. This is obvious when the floor units 10 are made from soft or resilient material. The other shortcoming is that there are many serrated tracks can be seen on the floor assembly.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a floor assembly which comprises a plurality of floor units and each of which has a plurality of sides. A plurality of recesses are defined in the sides of each of the floor units. The floor units are connected with each other side by side and a plurality of fixed members are fixed on the ground and engaged with the recesses of the floor units.

[0004] The primary object of the present invention is to provide a floor assembly that uses a plurality of fixed members engaged between the floor units to effectively prevent the floor units from sliding.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0010] Referring to FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, the floor assembly of the present invention comprises a plurality of floor units 50 and each of the floor units 50 has a plurality of sides such as four sides in this embodiment. A plurality of recesses 51 are defined in the sides of each of the floor units 50, in this embodiment, four recesses 51 are defined in four corners the sides of each of the floor units 50. Each of the recesses 51 has a 90-degree angle with two flat sides 52. The floor units 50 are connected with each other side by side so that a rectangular recess is defined between four floor units 50.

[0011] A plurality of fixed members 20 are fixed on the ground and engaged with the recesses 50 of the floor units 50. The fixed members 20 are rectangular plates and a adhering layer 30 is connected to a bottom of each of the fixed members 20 so as to be fixedly adhered on the ground. The four sides of each of the fixed members 20 are matched with the flat sides of each of the rectangular recesses between four floor units 50. Each of the fixed members 20 has patterns 40 on a top thereof.

[0012] The fixed members 20 effectively prevent the floor units 50 from sliding and have aesthetic features.

Claims

1. A floor assembly comprising:

a plurality of floor units and each of said floor units having a plurality of sides, a plurality of recesses defined in said sides of each of said floor units, said floor units connected with each other side by side, and a plurality of fixed members adapted to be fixed on the ground and engaged with said recesses of said floor units.

2. The floor assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of said floor units has four sides and four recesses are defined in four corners of each of said floor units.

3. The floor assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said fixed members have patterns on a top thereof.
