MICROFICHE APPENDIX

[0003] Not applicable.

BACKGROUND

[0004] The inventor is a practicing hairdresser and salon owner licensed to practice in the State of Florida. The inventor is, also, a hair colorist. About 85% of the professional hair colors are a cream form, contained into a Toothpaste-like tube which is then contained into a lightweight cardboard box. The package very closely resembles that of toothpaste. The average color line comprises an average of ninety, (90) different colors. The average beauty salon uses three (3) different lines. The average salon keeps in stock an average of five (5) each of the same color within a line. Each of the same five (5) colors are usually stacked one over the other. Each stack of all the different colors within the line is orderly and progressively aligned on a shelf or shelves creating a raw of ninety (90) stacks of five (5) color boxes of one colors line.

[0005] The inventor has encountered three (3) major challenges; 1—In order to rotate the stock, the box containing the color must be pulled from the bottom of the stack so that the replacement color box may be placed on the top of the stack. This would invariably cause the stacked boxes to fall over, thus disrupting the order and creating chaos. 2—Partially used color tubes cannot be balanced over the stacked colors. They would accumulate over the counter creating an ever increasing clutter and confusion. 3—Searching for a needed, partially used color tube among the many cluttering the counter is time consuming and frustrating. The option is to open still another new tube adding further to the existing maze. The open colors will oxidize and become unusable thus creating waste. The inventor has created a solution to these problems. Inventor's research found no other commercially available solution.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The invention, (The Rack), consist of a devise in the form of a box enclosed on five (5) sides with one (1) free, open side. The interior of the devise has a variable number of separated compartments accessible via the open side. Each compartment has the function of housing a variable number of boxes containing tubes of hair color or any other products or items that might be of convenience to beauty salons/spas or any other segment of the consuming public. The devise keeps items of different entities into their own assigned compartment without any possibility of interfering with each other, maintaining a pre-established order for easy access and consumption.

[0007] Individual units of product may be removed from the bottom of the stack allowing for easy stock rotation by placing fresh product on top without disturbing the order. Partially used, open colors may be places on top of the stack for easy identification and first use, as needed, completely eliminating product waste. Te “Rack” system completely eliminates all of the problems herein stated. The object of this invention is to provide a tool that will create an environment for better image, efficiency, time management and improved productivity.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The invention (The Rack) consist of a box like item with one open side. The interior of the item is divided into any number of partitions. The exact distance within the partitions might vary from one and one half inches to three inches wide, five inches to eight inches deep, seven inches to twelve inches high, and will determine the overall dimension of the invention. The Rack may be constructed from any material or composition such as wood, metal or plastics, but not limited to the said products, and may not be limited as to color. The Rack may be constructed by piecing the component parts together by hand using any means suitable to the product being used, or by the use of machines, tools, or injection molding, or a combination of said devised. Extensive research by the inventor has not produced any prove that a similar product exist commercially for the intended use.

Claims
