Half length/short cigarette

The half-length/short cigarette. In the case of any type of filtered cigarette, the only factor that changes is the cigarette will be reduced to half of the length of the actual tobacco rolled portion of the cigarette, the length of the filter will remain the same. In the case of an unfiltered cigarette, the cigarette will be reduced to half of the typical length of the cigarette. The amount of typical full-length cigarettes that a person smokes will be reduced by half of the amount, which can enhance the possibility of giving a person the capability to quit smoking. It will also reduce the amount of time that it takes to smoke a typical full-length cigarette, and to decrease the amount of typical full-length cigarettes that are wasted because a person does not have the time to smoke a typical full-length cigarette.

Description

[0001] To all whom it may concern:

[0002] Be it known that Frank M.Cibort III of 628 High Street Harrisburg, and Dustin K.Martz of 2140 Queens Drive Apartment B-4 Harrisburg, in the county of Dauphin, and the state of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful improvement for the cigarette, the half-length/short cigarette in filtered and non-filtered, mentholated, flavored and regular cigarettes, being that if a typical cigarette measures three and three quarters of an inch long, the half-length/short cigarette will measure one and seven-eighth of an inch long, this is invented on this day of Oct. 10, 2000. 1 CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS 5819753 September 1997 Birkenthal 131/248 5615761 May 1995 Draghetti et al 198/441 5469871 July 1993 Barnes et al 131/194 5819751 October 1995 Barnes et al 131/194 5271419 September 1991 Arzonico et al 131/365 5261425 February 1991 Raker et al 131/365 5247947 June 1991 Clearman et al 131/194 5497794 May 1994 Okumoto 131/364

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] 1. Field of the Invention

[0004] The present invention relates to that of a typical full-length cigarette, and more particularly, where it is reduced in length to a half-length/short cigarette.

[0005] 2. Brief Summary of the Invention

[0006] Our invention relates to that class of cigarette that is a typical full-length cigarette, now to be reduced in length to a half-length/short cigarette.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

[0007] The half-length/short cigarette as shown in FIG. 1, in filtered and non-filtered, mentholated, flavored and regular cigarettes, being that if a typical cigarette measures three and three quarters of an inch long, the half-length/short cigarette will measure one and seven-eighth of an inch long. The half-length/short cigarette will be packaged as shown in FIG. 2, with forty half-length/short cigarettes to an American style box or soft pack, or as shown in FIG. 3, with ten typical full-length cigarettes and twenty half-length/short cigarettes to an American style box or soft pack.

[0008] The half-length/short cigarette will be packaged as shown in FIG. 4, with forty half-length/short cigarettes to a European style box, or as shown in FIG. 5, with ten typical full-length cigarettes and twenty half-length/short cigarettes to a European style box.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0009] The half-length/short cigarette as shown in FIG. 1, in filtered and non-filtered, mentholated, flavored and regular cigarettes, being that if a typical cigarette measures three and three quarters of an inch long, the half-length/short cigarette will measure one and seven-eighth of an inch long. In the case of any type of filtered cigarette, the filter length will remain the same; the only factor that changes is the length of the actual tobacco rolled portion of the cigarette, it will be reduced by half in length. In the case of an unfiltered cigarette, the cigarette will be reduced to half of the typical length of the cigarette.

[0010] The idea was created to reduce the amount of typical full length cigarettes that a person smokes by half of the amount, which can enhance the possibility of giving a person the capability to quit smoking. It will also reduce the amount of time that it takes to smoke a typical full-length cigarette, and to decrease the amount of typical full-length cigarettes that are wasted because a person does not have the time to smoke a typical full-length cigarette. This invention consists in a novel construction and arrangement of the parts, as hereinafter more fully set forth and claimed, by which more effective devices of this character may be produced than is now in ordinary use. As for the packaging, a typical package of cigarettes has twenty full-length cigarettes; this invention would have forty half-length/short cigarettes to a package of cigarettes, or ten typical full-length cigarettes along with twenty half-length/short cigarettes to a package.
