Abstract

A workout tool for a spectrum of workout resistance ranging from mild to extreme that is completely portable and efficient.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0001] The very essence of this invention is to reinvent the push-up to the status as a viable competitor for obtaining an aggressive workout. This can be done without visiting a gym, or in the confines of a small room making it a portable workout tool. This portability would make it appealing to travelers, either business or pleasure that appreciate a good workout when on the go. By fabricating two very well built large pockets on the back of this vest, additional weight can be incorporated by the use of said pockets to obtain a vigorous and portable workout. Water is used in the larger of the two pockets to provide additional weight thus making it just as effective when solid weight is absent to provide weight. Pockets containing water would be waterproof and baffled. A watertight opening is used for both insertion and extraction of water.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART

[0002] Many types of vests occupy the market shelves representing many aspects of life. There are hunting vests, fishing vests, vests for certain climate adaptations and others. Even in sports and physical conditioning, vests are used and used just like this invention. They incorporate additional weight for added resistance; be it a push-up or any other exercise. That to employ water for additional weight is what gives this invention its obviousness for inventive consideration. Almost all other vests designed for use of a workout tool use a solid type weight contained within the vest for added resistance. Some use either a weighted gel-pack or sand pack designed to fit somewhere on vest. My vest employs water to be contained in vest itself, not contained in a pack, then inserted into vest thus constituting worthiness for said invention.

SUMMARY

[0003] The entire scope of this invention is to provide the most rigorous of exercising in the most portable of conditions. When not in use, it is also the most lightweight of workout tools. For whatever reason one does not need the use of a gym to obtain a beneficial workout.

DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0006] Additional weight being used for added resistance is the sole purpose of this invention. This has also been done before. The way it's done with a push-up power vest is what makes it unique. On the back of the vest there are two large pockets fabricated during construction. On fig. B side view (left) you can see pocket lies under pocket B. Pocket A is used to employ a solid object for instance, barbell plate/s, sandbags, etc for added resistance. On Fig. A rear view opening for Pocket A is denoted by the numeral 2. This opening could either be Velcro, a zipper, or straps. Pocket B is located over Pocket A and is larger. The area of Pocket B that is in contact with Pocket A would be constructed as one and sewn together for added strength. This integral construction would not be interfering with opening for Pocket A. Pocket B is a watertight vessel for containing water. It is also baffled for stability. Numeral 1 on Fig. A rear view denotes opening to insert and extract water. A vessel approx. 11′ by 18″, approx. size of Pocket B. with a height of 4″ can hold about four gallons of water. This is about 30 pounds. Underneath both pockets the vest would be padded for comfort.

Claims

1. Resistance for push-up exercise is achieved two ways.

2. A fluid is employed for resistance and is contained in vest itself.

3. Fluid being water weighing at 8 lbs. Per gallon making it suitable for artificial resistance.

4. All pockets of resistance are located on back of vest.
