Paste-contained toothbrush

The present invention relates to a paste-contained toothbrush. The present invention is directed to providing a paste-contained toothbrush in which there are provided a push apparatus having a brush, toothpaste extruding port and horizontal push button in an upper portion of a toothpaste storing container engaged with a lower cap having a through hole in a lower portion of the same in a state that a piston is installed in the interior of the same, and a pump assembly having a housing wherein a toothbrush is formed of a toothpaste storing container including a gel type paste therein and a toothbrush body for thereby extruding a paste based on a pumping operation, and the toothbrush body which operates a pumping operation based on the push apparatus is assembled. Therefore, in the present invention, it is possible to easily use a toothbrush during a tour or in office or school, etc. by easily extruding a toothpaste from a toothpaste storing container using a small force required for pushing a horizontal push button when in use.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The present invention relates to a paste-contained toothbrush, and in particular to a paste-contained toothbrush by which it is possible to implement a convenient tooth brushing operation during a tour or in office, school, etc. by extruding a toothpaste from a paste storing container based on a small force required for pushing a horizontal push button by installing a horizontal push button in which a pushing inclination portion pushed at one side of a toothbrush body in a horizontal direction and a lifting and lowering rod having a pushed inclination portion formed in the inside of the same wherein a toothbrush is formed of a toothpaste storing container including a gel type toothpaste therein and a toothbrush body for thereby extruding a toothpaste from a toothpaste storing container based on a pumping operation.

[0003] 2. Description of the Background Art

[0004] Generally, it is recommended to brush teeth within three minutes after eating a certain food for thereby implementing health teeth. People commonly brush teeth using a toothbrush and a toothpaste for keeping the inside of mouth clean and fresh and preventing other persons from feeling a discomfort.

[0005] Therefore, the toothbrush and toothpaste are concurrently used when brushing teeth. People separately carry the toothbrush and toothpaste for brushing teeth after eating a certain food, so that it is inconvenient to separately carry the toothbrush and toothpaste.

[0006] In order to brush teeth, a toothpaste tube is separately prepared, and then a toothpaste cap is opened, and a certain amount of toothpaste is extruded on a brush formed in a toothbrush body. Thereafter, the cap is covered again, and a tooth brushing operation is performed. In this case, whenever a person brushes teeth, the person must cover and uncover the cap of the toothpaste for extruding a toothpaste from the toothpaste tube for thereby causing much inconvenience.

[0007] In addition, people must prepare both the toothbrush and toothpaste during a tour or in office. In this case, since the toothbrush and toothpaste are separately prepared, the total volume of the toothbrush and toothpaste is increased. Therefore, it is very difficult to carry both the toothbrush and toothpaste.

[0008] Therefore, in order to overcome the above problems, various toothbrushes in which a toothpaste storing container and a toothbrush are integrally formed are introduced in a conventional art. In the above conventional toothbrushes, a toothpaste is extruded through an additionally formed path. According to the Korean Utility Model No. 1999-1654, a push button is pushed in a vertical direction, and a piston is pumped for thereby extruding a toothpaste.

[0009] In the above conventional art, since the push button which is designed to be pushed in a vertical direction is formed in a small step portion having a certain size similar with a protrusion in a small space portion formed in a flat surface of a toothbrush body, if a user has a small amount of water on his finger or hand, the pushing finger may be slipped, so that enough pushing force is not applied to the push button, whereby a larger pushing force must be applied to the push button.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0010] Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a paste-contained toothbrush which overcomes the problems encountered in the conventional art.

[0011] It is another object of the present invention to provide a paste-contained toothbrush in which there are provided a push apparatus having a brush, toothpaste extruding port and horizontal push button in an upper portion of a toothpaste storing container engaged with a lower cap having a through hole in a lower portion of the same in a state that a piston is installed in the interior of the same, and a pump assembly having a housing wherein a toothbrush is formed of a toothpaste storing container including a gel type paste therein and a toothbrush body for thereby extruding a paste based on a pumping operation, and the toothbrush body which performs a pumping operation based on the push apparatus is assembled. Therefore, in the present invention, it is possible to easily use a toothbrush during a tour or in office or school, etc. by easily extruding a toothpaste from a toothpaste storing container using a small force required for pushing a horizontal push button when in use.

[0012] In order to achieve the above objects, there is provided a paste-contained toothbrush in which a button engaging groove communicates between the inside and outside of the toothbrush body, and the push apparatus which is generally pushed in a horizontal direction is constructed in such a manner that a lifting and lowering rod is upwardly and downwardly moved in the toothpaste extruding path formed in the interior of the toothbrush body in the toothbrush which comprises a toothbrush body having a push apparatus formed in an upper portion of a toothpaste storing container having a toothpaste therein and a toothpaste extruding path in which a pump assembly is installed, for thereby extruding a certain toothpaste based on a pumping operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0021] As shown therein, in a toothbrush comprising a toothpaste storing container 20 formed of a toothbrush body 10 which includes a toothpaste storing container 20 having a toothpaste 100 therein, a horizontal push button 13a, and a pump assembly 30 for thereby extruding a toothpaste based on a pumping operation,, there are provided a toothpaste storing container 20 which includes a piston 23 therein and is engaged with a lower cap 21 having a through hole 22 formed in a lower portion of the same, a push apparatus 12 which includes a brush 17, a toothpaste extruding port 16 and a horizontal push button 13a in an upper portion of the toothpaste storing container 20, and a pump assembly 30 having a housing 31 wherein a toothbrush body 10 which performs a pumping operation based on the push apparatus 12 is engaged to the toothbrush.

[0022] The toothbrush 10 includes a toothpaste extruding path 15 which extrudes a toothpaste in a certain direction, a toothpaste extruding port 16 formed in an end portion of the same for extruding a toothpaste therethrough, and a brush 17.

[0023] In the push apparatus 12, a button engaging groove 11 is formed in an outer portion of the toothbrush body 10, and a horizontal push button 13a having a pushing inclination portion 13b is formed and pushed in a horizontal direction. A lifting and lowering rod 14 is formed in an inner side of the toothbrush body 10 and includes a pushed inclination portion 14a. The lifting and lowering rod 14 is upwardly and downwardly moved based on the pushing operation of the horizontal push button 13a.

[0024] The pump assembly 30 having a housing 31 which performs a pumping operation is installed in a direction of the lower portion of the toothbrush body 10. A withdrawing port 32a is formed in the lower portion of the housing 31, and an insertion groove 32b is formed in the upper portion of the same, and a check valve 32 having a check plate 32c in which an insertion protrusion 32d is engaged to the insertion rove 32b, is engaged.

[0025] A through hole 31b is formed in one side of a floor 31a of the housing 31 in such a manner that the through hole 31b communicates with the check valve 32.

[0026] A connection rod 33 is installed in the inner side of the housing 31 and includes a catching shoulder portion 33a engaged to a lower portion of the lifting and lowering rod 14 which forms the push apparatus 12. A spring support member 35 is inserted into a lower portion of the connection rod 33, and the piston rod 34 includes an inclination portion 34a and a rod hole 34b. An adapter 36 includes a first connection portion 36a which is formed in an upper outer portion of the piston rod 34 and contacts with an inner diameter of the housing 31, and a second connection portion 36b which contacts with an inclination portion 34a of the piston rod 34. A certain space S is formed between the lower portion of the connection rod 33 and the upper portion of the adapter 36.

[0027] An elastic spring 38 is installed between the lower portion of the spring support member 35 and the floor 31a of the housing 31.

[0028] In the drawings, reference numeral 101 represents a catching protrusion in which a horizontal push button 13a is inserted into the button engaging groove 11 formed in one side of the toothbrush body 10 and is caught thereby.

As shown therein, one communication path is formed through the toothpaste storing container 20, the withdrawing port 32a of the check valve 32 engaged to the housing 31, the through hole 31b formed in the floor 31a of the housing, the rod hole 34b formed in the piston rod 34, the connection rod 33, the lifting and lowering rod 14, the toothpaste extruding path 15 formed in the interior of the toothbrush body 10, and the toothpaste extruding port 16.

[0031] Therefore, when using the toothbrush 1 according to the present invention, the operation in which the toothpaste stored in the toothpaste storing container 20 is extruded through the toothpaste extruding port 16 formed in the upper portion of the toothbrush body 10, will be described as follows.

[0032] As shown in FIG. 5a, in a state that the toothpaste 100 is fully stored in the toothpaste storing container 20, the user pushes the horizontal push button 13a forming the push apparatus 12 formed in one side of the toothbrush body 10 using his thumb in the direction of the toothbrush body 10 as shown in FIGS. 5b through 5d, and then the thumb is backwardly moved.

[0033] At this time, the horizontal push button 13a pushed by the user's thumb upwardly and downwardly operates the lifting and lowering rod 14 engaged to the toothpaste extruding path 15 formed in the inner side of the toothbrush body 10. The pushing inclination portion 13b, which is formed in one side of the horizontal push button 13a and converts the vertically applied force into a horizontally applying force, pushes the pushed inclination portion 14a of the lifting and lowering rod 14 engaged to the lower portion of the toothpaste extruding path 15 formed in the inner side of the toothbrush body 10. The lifting and lowering rod 14 is upwardly and downwardly moved by the pushing operation of the horizontal push button 13a.

[0034] Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5b, the connection rod 33 to which the lifting and lowering rod 14 and the piston rod 34 of the housing 31 are connected is moved downwardly by the space S by slightly pushing the horizontal push button 13a, and the adapter 36 engaged to the outer portion of the piston rod 34 is loosely contacted with the piston rod 34, and the first connection portion 36a is contacted with the inner surface of the housing 31. Therefore, the space S formed between the lower portion of the connection rod 33 and the upper portion of the adapter 36 is removed, and the second connection portion 36b formed in the upper inclination portion 34a of the piston rod 34 and the inner side of the adapter 36 is distanced for thereby forming a certain flow path 37.

[0035] In a state that the flow path 37 is maintained between the piston rod 34 and the adapter 36, the horizontal push button 13a protruded from an outer portion of the toothbrush body 10 is fully pushed to its limit, the connection rod 34 and the adapter 36 are moved by a certain distance as shown in FIG. 5B, and the elastic spring 38 supported by the spring support member 35 is contracted by the moved distance of the spring support member 35.

[0036] Therefore, the connection rod 33 and the adapter 36 moved based on the movement of the connection rod 33 are moved by the pushing operation of the horizontal push button 13a, so that the air in the interior of the housing 31 is discharged to the outside through the flow path 37, the rod hole 34b of the piston rod 34, the toothpaste extruding path 15 of the toothbrush body 10 and the toothpaste extruding port 16 formed in the brush 17.

[0037] In a state that the air is discharged from the interior of the housing 31, as shown in FIG. 5D, when the user's thumb which is pushing the horizontal push button 13a is removed therefrom, the spring support member 35 formed in the lower portion of the piston rod 34 is pushed by the elastic force of the elastic spring 38 installed in the interior of the housing 31, so that the connection rod 33 and the lifting and lowering rod 14 are quickly moved in the upward direction by the space S formed between the connection rod 33 and the adapter 36, and the inclination portion 34a of the piston rod 34 and the second contact portion 36b of the adapter 36 contact each other for thereby closing the flow path 37.

[0038] In a state that the flow path 37 is closed, when the user's thumb is removed from the horizontal push button 13a, the piston rod 34, the adapter 36, the connection rod 33 and the lifting and lowering rod 14 are upwardly moved by the elastic spring 38, and the horizontal push button 13a is outwardly protruded by the pushed inclination portion 14a formed in the lifting and lowering rod 14 and is returned to its original state.

[0039] The interior of the housing 31 becomes a vacuum state, and the check plate 32c which covers the withdrawing port 32a of the check valve 32 formed in the lower portion is opened, and the toothpaste 100 stored in the toothpaste storing container 20 is moved through the withdrawing port 32a and the through hole 31b formed in the lower portion of the housing 31.

[0040] At this time, the piston 23 formed in the inner lower portion of the toothpaste storing container 20 is upwardly moved in the direction of the toothpaste storing container 20 having the toothpaste 100 therein using an atmospheric pressure as the air is externally inputted through the through hole 22 formed in the lower cap 21.

[0041] Therefore, in a state that a certain amount of the toothpaste 100 is inserted into the interior of the housing 31, the horizontal push button 13a formed in one side of the toothbrush body 10 is repeatedly pushed, as shown in FIGS. 5A through 5D, so that the vacuum absorption and pushing operations are repeatedly performed, whereby the toothpaste 100 of the interior of the housing 31 is flown to the toothpaste extruding path 15 of the toothpaste body 10 through the flow path 37 formed between the inclination portion 34a of the piston rod 34 and the second contact portion 36b of the adapter 36, the rod hole 34b, the connection rod 33 and the lifting and lowering rod 14. The toothpaste 100 of the interior of the toothpaste storing container 20 is moved and discharged to the toothpaste extruding port 16 in which the brush 17 is formed.

[0042] As described above, the toothbrush according to the present invention is formed of the toothpaste storing container containing a gel type toothpaste therein, the push apparatus, and the pump assembly. In the present invention, the toothpaste is extruded by a small force by providing the horizontal push button which includes the pushing inclination portion pushed in the direction of one side of the toothbrush body in a horizontal direction and the lifting and lowering rod which forms the pushed inclination portion. In addition, the toothpaste is easily extruded from the toothpaste storing container based on the vacuum pressurizing operation of the pump assembly in the direction of the brush of the toothbrush, so that the user can easily use the toothbrush during a tour or in office, school. etc.

[0043] As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.

Claims

1. In a toothbrush which comprises a toothbrush body having a push apparatus formed in an upper portion of a toothpaste storing container having a toothpaste therein and a toothpaste extruding path in which a pump assembly is installed, for thereby extruding a certain toothpaste based on a pumping operation, an improved toothbrush in which a button engaging groove is formed to communicate between the inside and outside of the toothbrush body, and the push apparatus pushed in a horizontal direction is constructed in such a manner that a lifting and lowering rod is upwardly and downwardly moved in the toothpaste extruding path formed in the interior of the toothbrush body.

A toothbrush of claim 1, wherein said push apparatus includes a horizontal push button having a pushing inclination portion, and the lifting and lowering rod which forms the pushed inclination portion in the inner side of the toothbrush body, so that the lifting and lowering rod is upwardly and downwardly moved by a horizontal direction push of the horizontal push button.

A toothbrush of claim 1, wherein said pump assembly includes a housing in which a connection rod includes a catching shoulder portion engaged to a lower portion of the lifting and lowering rod which forms the push apparatus, a spring support member is insert-engaged to the lower portion of the connection rod, a piston rod includes an inclination portion and a rod hole, an adapter is installed in an upper outer portion of the piston rod and includes a first connection portion and a second connection portion, a certain space S is formed between the lower portion of the connection rod and an upper portion of the adapter, and a through hole is formed in one side of a floor of the housing, wherein in the lower portion of the housing, a withdrawing port is formed in one side of the same, an insertion groove is formed in an upper portion, and a check valve includes a check plate having an insertion protrusion engaged to the insertion groove.
