Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention is related to an arched lamp case for a game machine, and especially to such a lamp case suitable for installing at an evident position on the surface of a game machine to provide flashing and sound effects in cooperation with proceeding of the game machine.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] Conventional game machines have variant and professional designs of software; they have formed a kind of industry with quite a lot of commercial chances. By virtue that their main function is playing games, the game machines are provided with highly attractive acoustic and video effects, and these effects have become an important subject in designing.

[0005] However, in the game machines available presently, the game machines can only be provided, in addition to the acoustic and video effects created in the screens designed for various games, on the upper and lower surfaces thereof with various static decorative patterns, hence the fun and the acoustic and video effects of them are still in adequate.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide an arched lamp case for a game machine, which case includes a lamp frame with a lot of light emitting diodes (LED's) to be mounted in corresponding with the design of an external frame member and a transparent internal lining frame member connecting with each other. Thereby, each light emitting diode can illuminate though a light penetration through hole provided on the external frame member. These light emitting diodes can form flashing functions of different modes through built-in CPU's and related electric circuits in pursuance of the digital signals generated according to the kinds of rewards of games or in pursuance of the analog signals of the volumes and tones of sounds. The entire arched lamp case thereby can be installed at an evident position on the surface of a game machine to provide more attractive acoustic and video effects, and this is the primary object of the present invention.

[0007] The present invention will be apparent in its novelty and features after reading the detailed description of the preferred embodiment thereof in reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0018] Referring to FIGS. 1-4 in the first place, the present invention is comprised of an external frame member 10 and an internal lining frame member 20 which are changeable, and a lamp frame 30. The internal lining frame member 20 made of transparent material (such as acryl) can be clung to and positioned on the inner surface of the external frame member 10, the other side of the internal lining frame member 20 is assembled with the lamp frame 30; a lot of LED's mounted on the lamp frame 30 can have the light thereof penetrated through the external frame member 10.

[0019] In the preferred embodiment shown, the lamp frame 30 is an electric circuit board in the shape of an arched frame, a lot of light emitting lamps 31 (such as mono-colored or multi-colored LED's) can be mutually spaced and mounted thereon. In this embodiment, every three LED's 31 form a group, a positioning hole 32 is provided between every two groups of LED's 31.

[0020] The internal lining frame member 20 made of transparent material can be slightly smaller than the lamp frame 30; in this embodiment, the radius of the frame member 20 is not larger than that of the circle where the LED's 31 are provided peripherally on the lamp frame 30.

[0021] As shown in FIGS. 1, 5, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the external frame member 10 is provided in corresponding with the position of each group of LED's 31 on the lamp frame 30 with a through hole 11, and fixing stubs 12 with screw holes in corresponding to the positioning holes 32 and an inwardly bending flange 13 are provided on the peripheral surface of the lamp frame 30. Thereby, the electric circuit board of the lamp frame 30 provided with a lot of LED's 31 can be connected with the external frame member 10 by using screws 33, and the internal lining frame member 20 can be locked between the inwardly bending flange 13 of the external frame member 10 and the lamp frame 30 (referring to FIG. 5); and the LED's 31 face to the through holes 11 (referring to FIG. 6).

[0022] In the preferred embodiment shown, each through hole 11 of the external frame member 10 can be mounted thereover with a transparent hood 40. And as shown in FIGS. 1, 7 and 8, each through hole 11 can be a tapered hole; and each transparent hood 40 can have a tapered section, the area of the transparent hood 40 is equal to that of the through hole 11, the transparent hood 40 is provided with two engaging hooks 41, 42 (referring to FIG. 8). So that the transparent hood 40 can be pressed into the through hole 11 and fixed by elastic force.

[0023] As shown in FIG. 10, the entire lamp case of present invention can thereby be installed at an evident position on the surface (i.e., as shown in the drawing, at the upper surface) of a game machine 90, to provide video and acoustic effects in cooperation with proceeding of the game machine. For example, the lamp case can have the lamps lightened group by group in pursuance of the kinds of rewards of games or in pursuance of the volumes or tones of sounds, such as, the lamps of the lower row are lightened in the first place, then the middle lamps and then the lamps of the upper row are lightened, or all the lamps are lightened. The amount of lamps to be lightened can be different in accordance with the bigger or smaller rewards. Referring to FIG. 9, when the lamps are lightened in pursuance of the kinds of rewards of games, they are lightened mainly in pursuance of digital signals, the LED's are lightened through digital receiving electric circuits, decoding electric circuits, CPU's, driving electric circuits and longitudinal scanning electric circuits; when the lamps are flashed in pursuance of the volumes or tones of sounds, the LED's are lightened mainly in pursuance of analog signals, and are lightened through analog receiving electric circuits, and similarly through decoding electric circuits, CPU's, driving electric circuits and transverse scanning electric circuits after the analog signals are converted into digital signals.

[0024] The present invention hence can make a game machine provide more evident and more attractive video and acoustic effects. Having thus described the technical structure of my invention with gain in its function, what I claim as new and desire to be secured by Letters Patent of the United States are:
