Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a potty for babies.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Potties are generally designed based on their usage by the baby, but they are not especially designed to facilitate cleaning by the parents, above all when water is not available, for example on a journey.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] An object of the present finding is to provide a potty for babies which should take these requirements into account and which should be especially easy and handy to clean.

[0004] Another object of the finding is to provide a potty for babies utilizing a disposable bag so as to allow cleaning the potty even when water is not available, and therefore making it especially useful on a journey.

[0005] A further object of the finding is to provide a potty shaped so as to also serve as a game for the baby, besides being very comfortable as a seat.

[0006] The various features of novelty which characterize the invention are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and specific objects attained by its uses, reference is made to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which a preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0007] In the drawings:

[0008] FIGS. 1 & 1a show a perspective view of a first embodiment of the potty according to the invention, respectively with and without a closing cover;

[0009] FIGS. 2 & 2a show the step of closing and removing a disposable bag from the potty; and

[0010] FIGS. 3 & 3a show a perspective view of a second embodiment of the potty, with and without a seating ring.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0011] Referring to the drawings in particular, in a first embodiment shown in FIGS. 1-2a, the potty under discussion consists of a body 10 wherein a recess 11, open at least upwards, is obtained. As shown in the drawings, body 10 may also be totally hollow, that is, without a bottom. In any case, such a recess is intended to house a disposable bag 12 whose neck is folded on the upper edge of recess 11 and held thereon by a silicone ring 13 resting on said edge and serving as seat for the baby.

[0012] Advantageously, bag 12 can be provided with an elastic around its neck, thereby forming two handles 14 protruding from opposed sides of the potty, under ring 13. In this way, after the baby has used the potty, all that is necessary is to pull the two handles so as to close the bag (FIG. 2), remove ring 13, pull the bag out (FIG. 2a) and replace it with a new one. The dirty bag can therefore be disposed of, eliminating the unpleasant and difficult task of cleaning the potty.

[0013] Body 10 can be provided with wheels 15 for resting on the floor, preferably five wheels for the utmost in stability of the potty. Moreover, the latter can be completed by a cover 16 to place on the ring when the potty is not used, and by a backrest 17 attached to body 10.

[0014] In a second embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 3a, a small stainless steel bowl 18 is placed into recess 11 of body 10 in place of the disposable bag, and such a bowl is easy to pull out for a handy and simple washing.

[0015] While specific embodiments of the invention have been shown and described in detail to illustrate the application of the principles of the invention, it will be understood that the invention may be embodied otherwise without departing from such principles.
