The method includes providing an opening to deposit refuse into a chamber formed of a material that is partially sealed, identifying when refuse is deposited into the partially sealed chamber, activating a sealing assembly after refuse is deposited into the chamber to seal the refuse in the chamber defined by the material, executing a cutting procedure to separate the sealed chamber from the remaining material, the cutting procedure creating a second chamber being formed by partially sealed material, and drawing a length of the material from a reservoir containing tubular shirred material with an extraction assembly.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the field of toilets. More specifically, the present invention relates to a portable toilet system primarily comprised of at least one inflatable toilet, at least one privacy screen, and at least one pump. The inflatable toilet can further be inflated, manually or using the pump, wherein the privacy screen can then be erected around the toilet such that a user can defecate or urinate in a bowl member within the toilet that has a waste bag liner. The system may also be comprised of wet wipes and a water bottle to allow a user to clean themselves. All components of the system may further be stored within a carrying case.

Also provided is a cassette which includes a lip having a variable projection width. A waste storage container is also provided including a cassette holder having a hollow area for removably receiving a cassette, the cassette being configured to matingly fit into the hollow area.

That apparatus includes a housing having a receiver, a trash receptacle held in the receiver and a retention feature carried on the housing. The retention feature is displaceable between a first position and a second position whereby the apparatus may be secured in a pocket of a trim panel of the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A waste disposal device for sealing waste and a cassette for dispensing film are disclosed. The waste disposal device comprises first and second rollers, each comprising first and second end portions and a joining portion therebetween. The end portions of the first and second rollers are arranged to receive and seal first and second film portions therebetween as the first and second rollers rotate. The joining portions of the first and second rollers are arranged to define an aperture for receiving waste in a first rotary configuration of the rollers and to seal the first and second film portions therebetween in a second rotary configuration of the first and second rollers. The cassette comprises first and second portions comprising respective first and second film dispensers. The first portion is mechanically connected to the second portion. The cassette is moveable between a first, compact configuration and a second, extended configuration.

Abstract: Systems and apparatuses for allowing passive urine recovery are disclosed. An exemplary commode liner that allows for passive urine recovery comprises a first layer comprising a first top side configured to receive a bio-waste material, a first bottom side, and a plurality of apertures spanning the first top side and the first bottom side, wherein the plurality of apertures passively promote a unidirectional movement of a liquid portion of the bio-waste material from the first top side to the first bottom side. The liner further comprises a second layer attached to the first layer, wherein the second layer is attached to the first layer such that a space is created between a second top side of the second layer and the first bottom side of the first layer, wherein the space is configured to hold a liquid portion of the bio-waste material received at the first top side.

Abstract: A portable toilet includes a base, a top cover hingedly disposed on the base, and an access door. The top cover has an opening that is alignable with a first cutout in a side wall of the base. In a storage position, the access door can be positioned to at least partially occlude the opening and the first cutout simultaneously. Furthermore, the access door may be configured to at least partially occupy a locating slot disposed on the top cover. The portable toilet may further include a support member that is hingedly disposed on the base. The support member may interface with the access door to prevent movement of the access door while in the storage position. When the top cover is in an in-use position, a removable toilet seat may be placed proximal an upper wall of the base and a surface of the top cover simultaneously.

Abstract: An environmentally-friendly, portable waterless toilet for mobile environments that is provides a single-action pedal mechanism to close the lid, advance a continuous bag with waste, and seal the waste in the bag. The toilet uses a continuous bag supply having a predetermined single dose or portion of at least one chemical automatically deposited therein, the at least one chemical functional to kill pathogens in waste that is deposited through an opening in the seat and a corresponding opening of the continuous bag supply. The waste-filled continuous bag supply is at least temporarily sealed by activation of a mechanical sealing mechanism, and released downwardly into a base section, which is connected to a sitting unit, forming an integral, closed system for waterless sanitation.

Abstract: An improved receptacle liner bag is formed of two layers of thin flexible stretchable plastic sheets which are sealed along the sides and bottom, but are unsealed along the top of the bag. The sheets are die-cut to form a framed opening which defines a band between the sides and the top of the bag. When the bag is placed in the receptacle, the band may be disposed around the outside of the sides of the receptacle and stretched over the base of the receptacle so as to provide a hold-down for the bag in the receptacle. The sheets may be perforated along a line below the framed opening. The line, when opened, forms an auxiliary band which can be stretched over and placed behind a hinge of a lid of the receptacle to secure the back of the liner bag in the receptacle.

A support is in the bin adjacent to the open top end and adapted to support the annular component of the bag unit for waste to be received in the bag of the bag unit extending in the inner cavity of the bin, by passing through a central opening thereof. A closing mechanism comprises a door pivotally connected to the support by at least one pivot and an abutment surface in the bin, a pivot axis of the at least one pivot being located at a same height or higher than a bottommost edge of the annular component of the bag unit when received in the support and when the bin has a bottom thereof on the ground.

A closing mechanism comprises a door pivotally connected to the support by at least one pivot and an abutment surface in the bin, a pivot axis of the at least one pivot being located at a same height or higher than a bottommost edge of the annular component of the bag unit when received in the support and when the bin has a bottom thereof on the ground.

Abstract: Portable and disposable apparatus for urinal elimination includes a container with a hydrophilic layer, absorbent fragrance materials, and liquid absorbency materials. The hydrophilic layer, the absorbent fragrance materials, and the liquid absorbency materials absorb all of the urine within the container without any after spillage. Users can use a lid, which is permanently connected with the container from one end, as a privacy shield during urinal elimination process. Once the users are finished with the urinal elimination process, the users can reseal the lid back onto the container so that the container can be disposed at users' convenience.

Abstract: Presented is a fecal/urine management system that includes a mattress having an aperture (e.g., catchment aperture) disposed through its top surface. The catchment aperture allows positioning a patient's anus over the aperture when the patient is positioned on the mattress. Accordingly, bodily waste may be collected in the aperture and thus separated from the skin of the patient. To prevent soiling the mattress, a catchment insert is positioned within the catchment aperture. The catchment insert, in one embodiment, includes an annular platform that rests on the top surface of the mattress and catchment bag that is adapted to be positioned within the mattress aperture. The catchment bag and annular platform prevent most or all bodily waste from contacting the mattress. Further, the catchment bag is adapted for removal through the top surface of the mattress with little or no movement of the patient.

Abstract: A cover for concealing and supporting a urinary incontinence bag to be worn by an individual in conjunction with a catheter and attached tubing. The cover provides a comfortable sleeve for containing the urinary bag and one or more straps for securing the bag to the leg of an individual. Additional features include a covered sleeve window for monitoring the urine bag contents and a collar for increased wearing comfort and support of the tubing. An outflow valve cover is also disclosed for concealing and protecting the outflow valve.

Abstract: A remote-controlled vehicle for collecting and transporting bio-waste that is capable of compacting bio-waste, dumping the waste in a variety of ways, and that has a rechargeable battery, among other functions, is disclosed. A system for collecting the bio-waste material also is provided. The system includes a plurality of collection receptacles associated with a structure, each of the plurality of collection receptacles receiving the bio-waste material without the use of water as a carrier. A transport network extends from each of the plurality of collection receptacles to at least one storage receptacle located at the structure. A plurality of vehicles, or carts, is disposed within the transport network and collect the bio-waste material.

Abstract: A disposable sanitary waste receptacle includes a water impermeable bag member manufactured from a first predetermined material and having a first predetermined shape and a first predetermined size. Such bag member has an opening at one end thereof and is removably disposable within a waste receiving portion of at least one of a potty chair, a toilet trainer, a bedpan, a commode, and a combination thereof such that such opening is held open for bodily waste to be deposited into such bag member. A securing mechanism is disposed around a perimeter of such opening for securing such bag member to such at least one of such potty chair, such toilet trainer, such bedpan, such commode, and such combination thereof. A disposable sanitary waste receptacle kit is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention is a urine bag comprising a bag portion and a collar comprised of a single piece of plastic and having a top edge, a medial edge, two distal edges, and an inside face. A tab extends outward from each of the distal edges. The collar further comprises a lip that extends at least partially around the top edge two sets of ridges on the inside face of the collar. The ridges are positioned such that they form a closure mechanism when the collar is folded along the medial edge. The plastic collar extends into the bag portion approximately one-fifth of the length of the bag portion.

Abstract: A disposable portable toilet that is efficiently fabricated from foldable stock, such as corrugated cardboard, with minimal waste and adapted with a fluid absorbing inner liner is disclosed. Foldable stock material is formed as a blank sheet having a plurality of fold lines defining multiple panels disposed in side-by-side relation, and a joining tab. Each panel includes a fold-in tab that functions to provide a rim. The blank sheet provides a structure that may be configured to form a support structure that is selectively configurable from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. An absorbent liner is insertedly received within the support structure. Padding sections are disposed on the liner in proximity to overlay the top rim of the support structure when the liner is received therein thereby providing the device with a padded upper rim. A drawstring functions as a closure member to close the liner after use.

The cover has a plurality of fasteners for holding the toilet in a compressed state. In the expanded state a plurality of segments extend toward the ground or supporting surface. The stop arm is insertable into the collapsible assembly to secure the toilet in an expanded state. The toilet utilizes a disposable inner bag for use in the interior of the toilet. The toilet is fittable within a carrying bag when in a compressed state.
