Free standing pet platform

The “Free Standing Pet Platform” is a unit that allows your pet to have a full view of the outdoors, while still remaining safely inside. Since it is a freestanding unit, it does not attach to your walls or windows; therefore, it will not cause damage to your home. Your pet has the choice to lay, stand or sit on the unit. It is of sturdy construction and is standard window height, approximately 30″ high; however, it can be customized to accommodate other heights. Some basic assembly is required.

Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] There were no patents or patents applied for on record for any object of a similar nature. There is a product on the market called “Kitty Window Perch”. It includes a U.S. Pat. No. 93,014. The U.S. Pat. No. 93,014 is titled “Improvement in stop for preventing retrograde motion in sewing machines”. Dated: Jul. 27, 1809 and has no connection to my design.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0002] I claim that in 1996 while looking for a devise that would give my cats access to the windows in our residence and without it permanently attaching itself to the structure, I was unable to find one on the market.

[0003] I designed and constructed the enclosed “Free Standing Pet Platform”. The design has proven to be safe and effective for the purpose that it is intended. The only others available on the market to date are ones that sit on the windowsill and brace themselves against the wall, which in my estimation may cause damage both to the wall and to the window itself.

SUMMARY

[0004] My design of the “Free Standing Pet Platform” is as the name itself describes, a freestanding unit that allows a pet to lay or stand on it safely. It is designed to allow the animal a view of the outdoors from a standard window height but can be easily customized to accommodate other heights.

DRAWING DESCRIPTION

[0005] Drawing “A” is a three-dimensional drawing showing the “Free Standing Pet Platform”. The “Free Standing Pet Platform” is made of a frame that is braced for stability and is crowned with a solid top that allows an animal to be able to sit or stand safely on it.

Claims

1. I claim that the “free standing pet platform”, allows an animal safe access to view the outdoors, safely and without damage to a dwelling because it is self-supported.
