Zipper
A zipper includes two straps each having a series of teeth secured on one side of the two straps. A core is embedded into each of the two series of teeth and a suture is sewn into each of the series of teeth and the strap to hold the series of teeth and the core in place on the strap, wherein the two series of teeth are made of transparent material and selectively engaged to each other such that the user can see the color of the core through the transparent teeth for promoting the vision effect of the zipper. The sutures is previously dyed and divided into multiple color sections each having a single color such that the suture forms multiple continual color portions on the zipper after sewing on the teeth for securing the series of teeth on each of the straps.
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a zipper, and more particularly to a zipper with colored sutures.
[0003] 2. Description of Related Art
[0004] A conventional zipper in accordance with the prior art shown in FIG. 5 comprises two straps (6) corresponding to each other. Each strap (6) has a series of zipper teeth (61) secured on one side of each of the two straps (6). The two series of zipper teeth (61) alternately correspond to each other and are selectively engaged to each other.
[0005] This type of conventional zipper is market for a very long time and has only one color such that this type of the conventional looks monotone and is hard to suit for fashion.
[0006] With reference to FIG. 6, a colored zipper is provided. A series of zipper teeth (8) is formed on one side of each of two straps (7) of the conventional zipper by injection molding. Each zipper teeth (8) has a recess (81) defined in a top portion for receiving a colored block (82) to make the conventional zipper look more colorful. However, the mold of the zipper teeth is expensive and to insert the colored block (82) into each of the recess (81) is a heavy and complicated process. It will take a lot of time and cost a high manufacturing value. Moreover, the conventional zipper looks poor when some of the color blocks (82) detach from the recess (81) in each of the teeth.
[0007] The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional zippers.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION[0008] The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved zipper with colored sutures.
[0009] To achieve the objective, the zipper in accordance with the present invention comprises two straps each having a series of teeth secured on one side of the two straps.
[0010] Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS[0011] FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a zipper in accordance with the present invention;
[0012] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the zipper in FIG. 1;
[0013] FIG. 3 is a is a perspective view of a suture of the zipper of the present invention;
[0014] FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a core of the zipper of the present invention;
[0015] FIG. 5 is a top plan view of a conventional zipper in accordance with the present invention; and
[0016] FIG. 6 is partially perspective view of another conventional zipper in accordance with the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION[0017] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-4, a zipper with colored sutures in accordance with the present invention comprises two straps (10) each having a series of teeth (11) secured on one side of the two straps (10). A core (12) is embedded into each of the two series of teeth (11) and a suture (13) is sewn into each of the series of teeth (11) and the strap (10) to hold the series of teeth (11) and the core (12) in place on the strap (10).
[0018] The two series of teeth (11) are made of transparent material and selectively engaged to each other. Consequently, the user can see the color of the core (12) through the transparent teeth (11) for promoting the vision effect of the zipper. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the core (12) is woven by multiple strands of colored filament such that the core (12) not only has a pattern of appearance but also a changeful color.
[0019] The sutures (13) of the present invention are previously dyed and divided into multiple color sections (131) each having a single color. Consequently, the suture (13) will form multiple continual color portions (132) on the zipper of the present invention after sewing on the teeth (11) for securing the series of teeth on each of the straps (10). The color portions (132) of each of series of teeth (11) are interlocked relative to each other. The length ratio of the color section (131) and the color portion (132) is 1:7. Furthermore, the series of teeth (11) of the present invention are transparent such that people can see the core (12) that has a changeful color.
[0020] As described above, the zipper in accordance with the present invention has the following advantages.
[0021] 1. The zipper of the present invention can easily change the color according to the color of the strap or the cloth to promote the vision effect.
[0022] 2. The color of the present invention is dyed such that the present invention is not easily faded away.
[0023] 3. For promoting the vision effect, the suture is directly stitched the teeth and secures the teeth on the strap. Consequently, the manufacturing method is simple, but the zipper looks changeful.
[0024] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
