Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a cosmetics container, and more particularly to a cosmetics container with a closely locking function.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] A conventional cosmetics container in accordance with the prior art shown in FIGS. 1-3 comprises a main body 10, and a top cover 20 mounted on the main body 10. The main body 10 has a top formed with an annular lip 12. The lip 12 of the main body 10 has an inner wall formed with a chamber 11 and an outer wall formed with an outer thread 121. The top cover 20 has an inside formed with a mounting recess 21 to receive the lip 12 of the main body 10. The mounting recess 21 of the top cover 20 has a wall formed with an inner thread 211 screwed on the outer thread 121 of the lip 12 of the main body 10.

[0005] However, when the inner thread 211 of the top cover 20 does not match the outer thread 121 of the main body 10 exactly, the top cover 20 cannot register the main body 10 as shown in FIG. 2, thereby decreasing the aesthetic quality of the conventional cosmetics container. In addition, when the inner thread 211 of the top cover 20 does not match the outer thread 121 of the main body 10 exactly, the top cover 20 cannot combine with the main body 10 closely, thereby producing a gap therebetween as shown in FIG. 3, so that the conventional cosmetics container cannot achieve the sealing effect.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0029] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 4-6, a cosmetics container in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 30, and a top cover 40 mounted on the main body 30.

[0030] The main body 30 is a square body and has a top formed with an annular lip 32. The lip 32 of the main body 30 has an inner wall formed with a circular chamber 31 and an outer wall formed with two radially opposite locking blocks 33. Each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 has a side formed with an oblique tapered guide portion 331. The outer wall of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is formed with an outer thread 321.

[0031] As shown in FIGS. 4, 4A and 4B, the top cover 40 includes a combination cap 43 mounted on the lip 32 of the main body 30.

[0032] The combination cap 43 of the top cover 40 is formed with a circular mounting recess 431 to receive the lip 32 of the main body 30 therein. The mounting recess 431 of the combination cap 43 of the top cover 40 has a wall formed with an inner thread 4311 screwed on the outer thread 321 of the lip 32 of the main body 30. The combination cap 43 of the top cover 40 has a bottom formed with two radially opposite locking members 432 each locked on a respective one of the two locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30. Each of the locking members 432 of the combination cap 43 of the top cover 40 has a first end formed with a semi-circular locking rib 4321, a second end formed with an L-shaped catch block 4322 and a mediate portion formed with a locking groove 4323 located between the locking rib 4321 and the catch block 4322 to receive the respective locking block 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30.

[0033] In addition, the guide portion 331 of each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is rested on the locking rib 4321 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40. In addition, each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is inserted into and locked in the locking groove 4323 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40 and sandwiched between the locking rib 4321 and the catch block 4322.

[0034] The top cover 40 further includes a lining cap 42 mounted on the combination cap 43, and a cover body 41 mounted on the lining cap 42.

[0035] In assembly, referring to FIGS. 7-10 with reference to FIGS. 4-6, the lining cap 42 is mounted on the combination cap 43, and the cover body 41 is mounted on the lining cap 42, thereby forming the top cover 40. Then, the top cover 40 is rotated relative to the lip 32 of the main body 30 as shown in FIG. 7, with the inner thread 4311 of the top cover 40 being screwed on the outer thread 321 of the lip 32 of the main body 30, so that the top cover 40 is mounted on the lip 32 of the main body 30.

[0036] When the top cover 40 is successively rotated relative to the lip 32 of the main body 30 to the position as shown in FIG. 8, the locking rib 4321 of each of the locking members 432 of the top cover 40 is rested on the respective locking block 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30.

[0037] When the top cover 40 is further rotated relative to the lip 32 of the main body 30 to the position as shown in FIG. 9, each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is pressed to pass through the locking rib 4321 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40.

[0038] When the top cover 40 is further rotated relative to the lip 32 of the main body 30 to the position as shown in FIG. 10, each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is inserted into and locked in the locking groove 4323 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40 and sandwiched between the locking rib 4321 and the catch block 4322.

[0039] On the contrary, when the top cover 40 is rotated relative to the lip 32 of the main body 30 in the reverse direction, the locking rib 4321 of each of the locking members 432 of the top cover 40 is detached from the respective locking block 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 by guidance of the guide portion 331, thereby detaching each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 from the locking groove 4323 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40, so that the top cover 40 can be removed from the lip 32 of the main body 30 by rotation.

[0040] Accordingly, each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is locked in the locking groove 4323 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40 and sandwiched between the locking rib 4321 and the catch block 4322, so that the top cover 40 is combined with the main body 30 rigidly and stably without detachment.

[0041] In addition, the top cover 40 is combined with the main body 30 easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating the user operating the cosmetics container. Further, the top cover 40 is combined with the main body 30 closely, thereby providing an excellent sealing effect. Further, each of the locking blocks 33 of the lip 32 of the main body 30 is locked in the locking groove 4323 of the respective locking member 432 of the top cover 40, so that the top cover 40 can be positioned on the main body 30 exactly without having to register the top cover 40 with the main body 30.

[0042] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
