Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of The Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a compact disk (CD) storage box and particularly to a CD storage box, which can move the compact disks in and out automatically, for the user being possible to browse multiple compact disks at a time and choose desired ones.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] The traditional CD box stands usually have an open type structure to offer a function of easy CD storage in addition to a variety of their appearances available. However, the traditional CD box only offers a large storage space for the CDs only but it is hard for the user to select needed CDs therein. Another type of traditional CD box stand is for placing CDs with packing cases so that it is necessary to take out the case before the CD can be used. Hence, it is a very tedious job for the user to take out specific CDs from the traditional CD storage boxes.

[0005] Due to CD burner being very popular in our daily life at the present time, the burned new CD usually is not received in a CD case and it becomes a problem of data in the burned CD being easily damaged without any protections.

[0006] Taiwanese Utility model Nos. 3192193 (Filing No. 86210685) and 403085 (Filing No. 88202880) are prior art related to a CD storage box and available in the market. Deficiencies resided in the prior art are summarized in the following:

[0007] 1. A hard operated front cover is used: It is necessary to use hands while the front cover is to be closed.

[0008] 2. Single operation direction is designed and only two CDs can be sent out: A single and unchanged direction for browsing CDs is offered after CDs being output and only two CDs can be chosen. Due to interval difference being designed improperly, next two CDs can be chosen only after the two output CDs being retreated. After the CDs being output, it is hard to locate the output CDs because of no locating mechanism being provided. For instance, if the turning knob is excessively rotated slightly, the CD retreats immediately and there is no time for the user to take out the desired CD.

[0009] 3. Larger operation space is needed: The operation of the CD in and out is actuated by slide plates so that it is necessary to have large moving space so that operation space has to be increased. However, a large operation space makes the CD inconveniently placed and use.

[0010] 4. Stacking up the CD storage boxes is impossible: The prior art is not possible for multiple CD storage boxes to be stacked vertically and they are only can be placed on a flat plane.

[0011] 5. The grip handle is not available: Due to consideration of convenience being not counted in the prior art, a grip handle has designed without a grip handle so that it is hard to be carried about or delivered.
