Balances structure for a folded umbrella

The invention relates to a balance structure for a multi-folded umbrella, especially a more than four-folded umbrella. The umbrella includes a shaft having at least four tubes and a frame, wherein the first/top tube is provided with a balance structure therein. The balance structure includes a positioning rod, which can be pushed to contact with the runner or the first tube for maintaining the umbrella in a stable opening state without bias.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A multi-folded umbrella, especially more than four-folded umbrella, includes the same number of umbrella tubes consisting a shaft while a bigger runner is needed for being provided around the shaft. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the diameter of the runner (2) is larger than the upper and the smallest tube (11) of the shaft. The normal opening state of the umbrella should be at the position of FIG. 1 but it is usually happened that the runner (2) is pushed by the bow spring (3) while the frame (4) will be bias relating to the shaft (1) as shown in FIG. 2 and the bow spring (3) would be engaged within the runner (2). So use of the prior multi-folded umbrella is not effective and convenient.

Accordingly, the present invention is to provide a balance structure for the multi-folded umbrella, which includes a positioning rod to position the runner with the shaft securely when the umbrella is opened. Now accompanying the drawings, the structure and character of the present invention will be described as following.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a plan view showing a conventional multi-folded umbrella in opening state.

FIG. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1 showing the frame of the umbrella is bias relating to the shaft.

FIG. 3 is a plan view showing a six-folded umbrella in opening state according to the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional enlarged plan view of FIG. 3 according to the present invention.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing the positioning structure of the present invention.

FIG. 6 is a plan view of FIG. 4 in closed state.

FIG. 7 is a plan view showing another modified embodiment according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please referring to FIG. 3 to 5, the present invention is going to be illustrated by a six-folded umbrella here, which includes a shaft (1) and a frame (4). The shaft (1) has a first/top tube (11) to a sixth/lowest tube (16) while a runner (2) is provided around the shaft (1). As the umbrella is opened, the runner (3) can be stopped by a bow spring (3) in the first tube (11) to maintain the umbrella in stable opening state. The character of the present invention is to provide a positioning structure in the first tube (11), which includes a positioning rod (5), a spring (51), and a joint (52). The positioning rod (5) is pivoted with the joint (52) and connected one end with the spring (51). When the umbrella is opened, the other end of the rod (5) will be pushed outward through a slot (111) on the first tube (11) by the elastic force of the spring (51) and contacted with inner surface of the runner (2). As shown in FIG. 4, the runner (2) will be positioned in a right position relating to the shaft while the frame (4) is perpendicular to the shaft (1) without bias.

When the umbrella is closed, the second tube (12) is moved upward to urge the rod (5) upward and received in the first tube (11) accordingly as shown in FIG. 6. Hence, the runner (2) can be moved downward to fold the frame (4) and close the umbrella.

Accordingly, the structure provided by the present invention obtains the predicted effect and overcomes the drawback of a conventional multi-folded umbrella as being opened. But the structure mentioned above is only an exemplary embodiment, it can be modified anyway, such as shown in FIG. 7, the positioning rod (5) is mounted beside the runner (2). When the umbrella is opened, the rod (5) is pushed inward to contact with the first tube (11) for a similar balance positioning effect. The modified embodiments will be claimed in this invention.

Claims

1. A balance structure for a multi-folded umbrella, especially a more than four-folded umbrella including a shaft with an around runner and a frame, the character is to provide a balance structure in the first/top tube of the shaft, which includes a positioning rod pivoted with a joint and connected one end with a spring, wherein the rod can be pushed outward to contact with the runner for balance positioning effect by the spring as the umbrella being opened.

2. A balance structure for a multi-folded umbrella as claimed in claim 1, wherein the positioning rod is mounted beside the runner and it can be pushed inward to contact with the first tube of the shaft as the umbrella being opened.
