Collapsed umbrella with shrunk volume

The invention relates to a collapsed umbrella with shrunk volume, which is provided with a joint having wide base for pivoting with second rib and third rib counted from outside respectively. As the second rib and the third rib are positioned in collision, they can be received side by side without collocate when the umbrella is closed. Hence the collapsed umbrella will be shrunk effectively when it is closed.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional collapsed umbrella, as shown in FIG. 1 and 2, includes several ribs being pivoted in linear generally. When the umbrella is closed, as in FIG. 3, the second rib (2) and the third rib (3) counted from outside will contact with each other at the pivoted position. Hence, the umbrella becomes a slight extension even in closed state that has a large volume. Though the umbrella can be forced as shown in FIG. 4 to be shrunk, it will elastically expend to the structure as in FIG. 3 as soon as being released. Because of the collision between the second rib (2) and the third rib (3) as being folded, the collapsed umbrella can't be effectively shrunk the closed volume.

Accordingly, the present invention is to provide an improved structure to overcome the drawback of the prior art, which uses a novel, pivoted structure to connect with the second and third rib in collocate. So the closed volume of the collapsed umbrella will be effectively shrunk. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front plan view showing a conventional collapsed umbrella in opened state.

FIG. 2 is a top plan view of FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a plan view of FIG. 1 in closed state.

FIG. 4 is a plan view of FIG. 3 being forced for shrinking.

FIG. 5 is a front plan view showing a collapsed umbrella in opened state according to the present invention.

FIG. 6 is a top plan view of FIG. 5.

FIG. 7 is a plan view of FIG. 5 in semi-closed state.

FIG. 8 is a plan view of FIG. 5 in completely closed state.

FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing parts of ribs of the collapsed umbrella according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please referring to FIGS. 5 and 6 firstly, the present invention relates to an improvement of a collapsed umbrella. In following description, a five-folded umbrella is illustrated and it is to limit the scope of the present invention. The character of the invention is to provide a joint (1) having a wide base for pivoting with the second rib (2) and the third rib (3), being counted from outside of the frame of the umbrella, as shown in FIG. 9, by two pins (11), (12) respectively. Accordingly, the second rib (2) and the third rib (3) will be in collision.

When the umbrella is closed, it will be in the state of FIG. 7 firstly. Since the second rib (2) and the third rib (3) are side by side, they can be placed in parallel without collocate as being forced to the position of FIG. 8. It can be found that the collapsed umbrella of the present invention can be received with a shrunk volume effectively.

Furthermore, it will be understood that the present invention can be used in a four-folded umbrella or a six-folded, or more, collapsed umbrella

Claims

1. A collapsed umbrella with shrunk volume being characterized in providing a joint with wide base, which has two pins to pivot with second rib and third rib, being counted from outside, respectively, and the second rib and the third rib being positioned in collision side by side.

2. A collapsed umbrella with shrunk volume as claimed in claim 1, wherein the collapsed umbrella has at least four ribs to form the frame.
