"Cargo carry" concealed weapons holster system

Abstract

The “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system is a unique system of an elastic belt, two loop sliders of soft loop velcro to go over the belt with hanging straps of hook velcro attached to the loops. Attaching straps of soft loop velcro are attached to the holsters and attach to the hanging straps for vertical adjustment. The holster is made of two six inch square pieces, one piece of hook velcro and one piece or side of loop velcro pressed together and sewn on the vertical edges. Elastic leg straps are attached to each holster. The system is designed and tailored to be used or worn exclusively with cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts with the holsters in three different carry methods fitting under or in the cargo pockets themselves.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The field of endeavor to which the invention pertains is the concealed carry of weapons, automatic pistols and revolvers and the clips and ammunition to reload them and knives and the holster systems in which to carry such weapons concealed of which the “cargo carry” holster system is a new type or design being specifically designed to be used or worn with cargo pocket pants or shorts and of use for concealed carry for law enforcement, government, and private citizens. Problems with other concealed weapons holsters has been the need to wear a jacket or a sweater or a shirt or a sweatshirt in order to conceal the weapon and holster or long pants in order to conceal an ankle holster.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention, the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system and the advantages of it and how it solves previous existing problems in concealed carry of weapons is that it is specifically designed to be worn under or in the cargo pockets of cargo pocket pants or shorts, and thereby does not make mandantory the wearing of any garmet above the waist of the user for the concealed carry of weapons and in the case of cargo pocket shorts does not require the user to wear long pants. This system is excellent for deep cover concealed carry and the user simply lifts the pocket flap of the cargo pocket on the side of each leg and draws out the pistol, or ammunition clips, or knife.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

Drawing number 1, shows the complete “cargo carry” concealed weapons systems in its entirety. The three inch wide elastic belt with velcro ends for securing or closing the belt. The pieces of the loop and hanging strap one for each side of the belt, the loop being designed to slide along the belt to the desired location by the user of the middle of the outside of each leg when the belt is worn with the hanging strap hanging down the middle of the user's each leg to approximately the side of the outside of the knee. The loop and the hanging strap are sewn together and are of two inch material, the hanging strap is of two inch hook velcro with the hook material facing away from the user's leg. The attaching straps are of two inch soft loop velcro with the velcro facing the user's leg and attaching to the hanging strap by pressing the two velcro straps together. The attaching straps and the hanging straps are of lengths giving a lot of flexibility in vertical placment. The attaching straps are sewn to the left and right side holsters themselves, one strap per holster. The holsters are unique in that they consist of six inch squares of velcro being sewn together on the vertical edges leaving the top and bottoms open, with the inside of both holsters consisting of hook velcro closest to the user's leg and loop velcro on the side farthest from the user's leg, to use either holster the user simply opens the velcro on the inside of the holster places the pistol or pistol clips or knife in the holster and simply closes the velcro around it to form the holster. Each holster has either sewn to it or slipped around it through slits on both sides of the holster a three inch wide elastic leg strap with velcro closures on each end of the leg strap to facilitate closing it around the leg.

Drawing number 2, shows a side view of a person wearing the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system under their clothes with the person facing the right side of the page. The drawing shows the three inch elastic “cargo carry” belt under the pants or shorts of the user with the hanging strap and attaching strap running down the center of the outside of the user's leg with the straps adjusted so the holster and pistol or pistol clips or knife is under the cargo pocket of the cargo pocket pants or shorts. The drawing also shows the three inch elastic leg straps which go around the leg and secure by velcro thus securing the holster to the leg. There are two methods or ways that this can be accomplished one is to simply cut out the inside of both cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or shorts. The second method is in both cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or shorts a lateral slit must be cut on the inside of the cargo pocket near the top for the hanging strap and the attaching strap to pass through. This allows the “cargo carry” holster and it's contents, pistol, pistol clips or knife to be suspended inside the cargo pocket itself, yet with the weight of the holster and it's contents to be suspended from the straps and belt and the user's waist. In this case two vertical slits on the inside of the cargo pocket along it's outside edges must be cut to allow the cargo leg straps to go through and go around the leg and close to keep the pistol or pistol clips or knife close to the leg. To access the pistol or pistol clips or knife, the user simply lifts the cargo pocket flap and draws out the pistol, or pistol clips, or knife. This drawing just shows the right side of the user, the left side of the user would look and be exactly the same as far as the belt and straps and holster on that side. This second method, with the holster and pistol, or holster and pistol clips and/or knife actually in the cargo pocket itself, is the preferred method with using cargo pocket shorts.

Drawing number 3, shows the third method or way the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system can be used. This is the least preferred method or way of the three methods or ways of use, because it does not use the “cargo carry” belt or hanging straps and thus puts all the weight of the holster and its contents, pistol or pistol clips or knife, in and on the cargo pocket of the cargo pocket pants or shorts. There are a number of ways this can be accomplished. One way is to cut two lateral slits in the inside of the cargo pocket near the top just under the cargo pocket flap and running the attaching strap of the “cargo carry” holster through the two slits and back down attaching its loop velcro to the hook velcro on the inside of the “cargo carry” holster. Then cutting a vertical slit along each side of the cargo pocket near the seams and running the “cargo carry” leg straps through them so the leg straps can be attached around the leg. If the user does not want to cut any slits or holes in the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or shorts the “cargo carry” holster with pistol or pistol clips and/or knife can be put in the cargo pocket of the cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts and secured by use of safety pins, or double backed velcro tape, or sewing, or by some other method.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION, THE SPECIFICATION

The “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system is distinguished from other inventions and what is old in that it is the only concealed weapons holster system designed to be worn underneath the clothes specifically tailored to cargo pockets of cargo pocket pants and cargo pocket shorts. It also incorporates a unique hoster design that is made with an interior of velcro where the user opens up the velcro of the holster, places the pistol or pistol clips or knife or object in the holster and then forms the velcro around it thus forming the holster. With the “cargo carry” belt, hanging straps, attaching straps, and holster and leg straps in place underneath the user's cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts with the holsters under or in the cargo pockets on both legs, the user simply lifts the pocket flag of the cargo pocket and pulls out the pistol or pistol clips or knife or whatever object is in the concealed holster. Or the system can be used without the belt and hanging straps with just the attaching straps and holster and leg straps in the cargo pocket itself. The process to make or manufacture the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system starts with a belt, see drawing number 1, of readily available 3 inch wide elastic nylon or spandex cut to a certain length for instance cut to 28 inches in lenth fits waists 28 inches to 45 inches. At each end of the elastic nylon belt a 2 inch by three inch piece of velcro is sewn by sewing machine with one end of the belt being hook velcro and the other end of the belt being loop velcro. The belt is worn with the hook velcro end facing away from the user and with the loop velcro end facing towards the user and attaching to the hook velcro end. Different lengths of the belt would be cut to accommodate different waist sizes. The next two items to make or manufacture are the two soft loop velcro loops, see drawing 1, the loops are made of 2 inch wide soft loop velcro cut to nine inches in length and doubled over with the soft velcro loop material on the inside of the loop and then the ends being sewn together on a sewing machine. Then the hanging straps are cut at 20 inches in length from 2 inch wide hook velcro and one each sewn to the sewn end of both loops. the loops and hanging straps can now be put on the belt, end user would slide the loops and hanging straps around their waist on the belt until each hanging strap ran down the center of the outside of each of their legs. Note: the end user can cut back the hanging strap to whatever length best suits them. Next to make or manufacture is the holster itself, and the attaching strap, see drawing #1. A 12 inch piece of 2 inch wide soft loop velcro is cut, this is the attaching strap, two 6 inch square pieces of heavy duty nylon such as cordura are cut, these are the sides of the holster. The 12 inch long 2 inch wide piece of soft loop velcro the attaching strap is then centered on one of the 6 inch sqaure pieces of heavy duty nylon and sewn to it with the soft loop velcro facing away from the 6 inch square piece of heavy nylon and leaving 6 inches of the attaching strap extending beyond the 6 inch square piece of heavy nylon. Next a 6 inch square of hook velcro is sewn on the opposite side of the 6 inch square piece of heavy duty nylon with the hook velcro facing away from the heavy duty nylon. This forms the inside one half of the holster. next a six inch square of soft loop velcro is sewn to the other 6 inch square of heavy duty nylon with the loop velcro facing away from the heavy duty nylon. Next the two 6 inch squares of heavy nylon are pressed together so that the hook velcro and the loop velcro come together and form the insides of the holster itself, at this point the top and bottom of the holster are left open but the sides of the holster are sewn together. This completes the holster except for the leg straps. The leg straps are of the same material as the belt, see drawing number 1, of 3 inch elastic nylon or spandex cut to length. For example a leg strap cut to 18 inches of 3 inch wide elastic nylon would fit a leg thigh circumference of 18 inches to 30 inches. At each end of the leg strap a 2 inch by 3 inch piece of velcro is sewn with loop velcro on one end and hook velcro on the other. This is to close the leg strap. The leg strap is positioned so that the hook velcro faces away from the user's body while the soft loop velcro faces the user's body. The leg straps can be attached to the holsters in one of two ways. One way is to simply cut a slit vertically along the seam of both sides of the holster and run the leg strap through both slits. The other way is to center the leg strap laterally on the holster and sew it to both sides of the holster at the seams. This completes the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system, and by simply attaching the loop velcro of each attaching strap to the hook velcro of each hanging strap you have completely made the “cargo carry” concealed weapons holster system and it is now ready to be used by the end user or purchaser. The end user simply puts on the “cargo carry” belt and adjusts the loops and hanging straps so they are hanging down over the center of the outside of each leg towards the knee. Then adjusts the hanging straps and attaching straps on both sides so that the holsters fall under or in the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or shorts the end user intends to wear. Then the end user simply cuts out the interior pocket of both cargo pockets or cuts the lateral slit for the attaching strap and the two vertical slits for the legs straps in both cargo pockets. If the end user has cut out entirely the inside pocket of both cargo pockets, the end user then simply puts on the cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts and each holster and its contents, pistol, pistol clips and/or knife, along the side of each leg and under the cargo pockets of each leg, is easily accessible by simply lifting the pocket flap on either cargo pocket and drawing out the contents of the holster. If the end user elects to cut the lateral slit and the vertical slits in the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or shorts then the end user must place the holsters and their contents in each cargo pocket and run the attaching strap through the top lateral slit and the leg straps through both vertical slits in each cargo pocket then the end user puts on the cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts and attaches the attaching strap to the hanging strap and once again the contents of each holster are readily available by simply lifting the pocket flap of either cargo pocket and drawing out the contents of the holster. The last method that the end user might employ is the least desirable, because it puts all the weight of the holsters and their contents in and on the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts themselves. in this method the top lateral slit and the two vertical slits are cut in each cargo pocket with the addition of one added top lateral slit. Both holsters and their attaching straps are detached from the hanging straps and the belt. The holsters are put in the cargo pockets themselves and the attaching strap is ran down through the first top lateral slit underneath the material of the cargo pocket and back through the upper top lateral slit, and back into the cargo pocket itself where the attaching strap is now doubled back on itself and attached by its soft loop velcro to the hook velcro inside the holster. 12. Then the end user puts the legs straps through the two vertical slits on the inside edges or sides of the pocket and attaches the leg straps by means of their velcro ends to each other around the leg. If the end user does not want to cut any slits or holes or modify the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or cargo pocket shorts at all, the holsters and their contents can be placed in each cargo pocket and secured by safety pins or double backed velcro tape or by sewing or by some other means. This allows for not using the “cargo carry” belt and hanging straps and the end user simply lifts the cargo pocket flap of the cargo pockets of the cargo pocket pants or cargo pPocket shorts and reaches inside to take out the contents of the holster.

Claims

1. That this entire holster system and the three ways it can and should be used with cargo pocket pants and cargo pocket shorts be patented.

2. That the holsters themselves are a claim to be patented in that a holster to hold an object is simply formed by pressing a side of hook velcro together to a side of loop velcro and sewing the sides together and possibly sewing the bottom together or not depending on the object to be put in the holster, thus forming a holster.

3. That the process and design of a concealed weapons system to be designed or tailored exclusively to or towards the cargo pockets of cargo pocket pants and cargo pocket shorts be patented.
