FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a portable exercising apparatus according to the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a schematic drawing of the present invention showing the slide moved in the holder block.

FIG. 3 is an elevational view of the present invention showing the portable exercising apparatus assembled.

FIG. 4 is an elevational view of an alternate form of the portable exercising apparatus.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1˜3, a portable exercising apparatus is shown comprising a housing 1 formed of two symmetrical. cover shells fastened together by screws 13. The housing 1 has a transverse sliding slot 11, a longitudinal sliding slot 12, graduations 111 marked on the top surface along the transverse sliding slot 11, and graduations 121 marked on the top surface along the longitudinal sliding slot 12. A holder block 2 is affixed to the inside of the housing 1 by screws 21, having a track 22 transversely disposed on the middle, a cross rod 23 extended across one end of the track 22, a sliding way 24 perpendicularly aimed at the track 22 at one side, a locating rod 25 vertically disposed adjacent to the sliding way 24, and a locating hole 26 disposed adjacent to the locating rod 25. A slide 3 is axially slidably mounted in the track 22, comprising a base 31 slidably coupled to the track 22, a top index block 33 inserted through the transverse sliding slot 11 to the outside of the housing 1, a locating groove 32 spaced between the base 31 and the top index block 33 at one side, an open chamber 311 formed in the base 31, and a cross rod 34 suspended inside the open chamber 311. Two pull belts 4 are respectively fastened to the cross rod 34 in the slide 3 and the cross rod 23 at the holder block 2 for pulling by the user to exercise the muscles of the user's arms. A torsional spring 27 is provided for imparting a damping resistance to the slide 3, having a coiled body 272 sleeved onto the locating rod 25, a positioning tip 273 extended from one end of the coiled body 272 and fastened to the locating hole 26 of the holder block 2, and a pressure arm 271 extended from the other end of the coiled body 272 and fastened to the locating groove 32 of the slide 3. Further, a torsional force (damping resistance) adjustment member 241 is coupled to the sliding way 24 and adapted to adjust the torsional force of the torsional spring 27, having a top index 242 inserted into the longitudinal sliding slot 12 of the housing 1 for pointing out one of the graduations 121 subject to the position of the torsional force adjustment member 241 in the sliding way 24. When the user pulling the pull belts 4 with the hands, the slide 3 is moved apart from the cross rod 23 at the holder block 2 along the track 22, and at the same time the pressure arm 271 of the torsional spring 27 is forced to impart a damping resistance to the slide 3. By means of the indication of the top index block 33 at the graduations 111, the user knows the moving amount of the slide 3 that is indicative of the amount of pull force applied by the user to the pull belts 4.

FIG. 4 shows an alternate form of the present invention. According to this alternate form, two press grips 5, 6 are used to substitute for the aforesaid pull belts 4. One press grip 5 is fastened to a mounting hole 35 at one side of the slide 3. The other press grip 6 is fastened to the other side of the slide 3
