Foot tent bedding apparatus
The present invention is a foot tent bedding apparatus for use with a bed having a mattress and spring. The apparatus further comprise a first panel defined by a inner edge and an opposite outer edge. The first panel extends laterally outward to a predetermined distance from the inner edge to the opposite outer edge. The opposite edge of the first panel is adapted to slide in between a spring and mattress at the foot of the bed. The apparatus further comprises a second panel. The second panel is defined by a inner edge and an opposite outer edge. The inner edge of the second panel forms substantially a right angle with the inner edge of the first panel. The second panel extends laterally upward to a predetermined distance above the height of the mattress to the opposite outer edge of the second panel. The apparatus further comprises a third portion. The third portion is formed along the top edge of the opposite outer edge of the second panel. The third portion has substantially a semi-circle shape.
The present invention relates to bedding accessories. Normally, a bed consists of a supporting frame, a spring, and a mattress. On the bed, the mattress rests upon the spring which rests upon the frame. Then, bed sheets are normally tucked tightly underneath the mattress at the foot of the bed. While a person rests between their bed sheets, the tightness of the bed sheets at the foot of the bed can become uncomfortable while sleeping or resting. The present invention is a tool to help alleviate the tightness of the bed sheets while sleeping or resting.
SUMMARYThe present invention is a foot tent bedding apparatus for use with a bed having a mattress and spring. One of the objectives of the present invention is to provide the capability of creating a tent at the foot of the bed with the bed covers. This tent prevents a person feet from being uncomfortable while that person sleeps throughout the night. The apparatus further comprises a first panel defined by a inner edge and an opposite outer edge. The first panel extends laterally outward to a predetermined distance from the inner edge to the opposite outer edge. The opposite edge of the first panel is adapted to slide underneath the mattress near the foot of the bed.
The apparatus further comprises a second panel. The second panel is defined by a inner edge and an opposite outer edge. The inner edge of the second panel forms substantially a right angle with the inner edge of the first panel. The second panel extends vertically upward to a predetermined distance above the height of the mattress to the opposite outer edge of the second panel.
The apparatus further comprises a third portion. The third portion is formed along the opposite outer edge of the second panel.

The apparatus further comprises a third portion (150). The third portion (150) is formed along the opposite outer edge (140) of the second panel (130). The third portion (150) can be formed into a three-dimensional geometrical structure. Thus, third portion (150) can have a cylindrical shape or a polyhedron shape. In some embodiments the internal portion of the geometrical structure of third portion (150) can have a hollow interior. In other alternative embodiments the geometrical structure can be segmented with or without a hollow interior.
In the preferred embodiment, the first panel (100) can have the dimensions of an inner edge (110) length of 10 inches and an opposite outer edge (115) of 10 inches. Additionally, the length of each opposing side (210, 215) of first panel (100) can also be 10 inches. Each opposing side edge (210, 215) of first panel (100) can have a depth of ¼ inches with a tapered depth to ⅛ of an inch.
In the preferred embodiment, the second panel can have the dimensions of an inner edge length of 10 inches, a second outer edge of 10 inches, and a depth of ¼ inches on each opposing side. Additionally, the predetermined height of the second panel can be 18 inches.
In the preferred embodiment, third portion (150) can have a cylindrical shape with a length of 10 inches and a diameter of 1 inch.
In operational use of apparatus (10) as shown in
