Method for manufacturing zippers

The present invention discloses a method of manufacturing zippers, particularly a plurality of metal zipper teeth being sewed onto a zipper tape easily, and the zipper is comprised of a plurality of metal zipper teeth with clipping holes at their internal sides, each zipper teeth being clipped to a fastening string and colored (by paint roasting or electroplating) to a different color and then sewed onto the zipper tape. By the foregoing method, the present invention can solve the technical problems regarding the incorrect sewing direction of the zipper and poor pulling force as to extend the service life of the zipper.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing zippers, more particularly to a method of manufacturing zippers by using a fastening string to connect metal zipper teeth into a series for sewing the zipper tape easily.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

At present, the zipper teeth of a common zipper are divided into nylon zipper teeth, plastic steel zipper teeth and metal cast zipper teeth. Although the nylon zipper is softer and easier to bend than others, the nylon zipper is sewed along one side of the zipper tape. If the zipper is pulled or an external force is applied to the zipper, the nylon zipper will be worn and torn easily as shown in FIG. 1.

The plastic steel zipper teeth of a plastic steel zipper, which are formed by a plastic injection (as shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B) and not bent easily, are attached integrally to the plastic steel zipper tape, or the metal zipper teeth of metal zipper are formed by metal die-casting (as shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B) and has an external engaging end to be engaged with the metal zipper tape, such that the surface of each zipper tooth is protruded from the upper and lower surfaces of the zipper tape, and then the whole plastic steel zipper or the metal zipper can be sewed onto the clothes, but the metal zipper is only clipped on one side, and the pulling force on its side is not sufficient. If the metal zipper needs coloring (paint roasting or electroplating), then the paint will come off easily after being clipped due to the clipping force, which is good for its practical application.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to overcome the foregoing shortcoming and avoid the existing deficiency by providing a zipper to be sewed easily onto a cloth along the zipper tape, which will not damage the clothes and the zippers due to the deviated direction of the applying force, or the zipper teeth will fall off due to insufficient lateral forces when the zipper is opened or closed.

The technical measures taken to solve the aforementioned problem, comprising the steps of:

(1) preparing metal zipper teeth, wherein a clipping end having through holes is disposed at one end of the zipper teeth;

(2) connecting and clipping the zipper teeth into a series, wherein a fixed end on the side of each zipper tooth is fixed onto a fastening string to form a series;

(3) coloring the zipper, wherein the connected series of zipper teeth could be of the original color or colored (paint roasting or electroplated to different colors); and

(4) sewing the zipper along the zipper tape, wherein the connected zipper teeth could be sewed onto the zipper tape quickly to become the finished goods.

The aforementioned method for manufacturing zippers sets the zipper teeth on both sides of a zipper with a specific distance apart and uses a fastening string as a standard point to guide the sewing of the zipper onto the zipper tape.

In view of the description above, the present invention has the following technical effects:

1. The present invention uses a fastening string to connect the clipping end having the through hole on the side of each zipper tooth into a series and uses the fastening string as the standard point to quickly sew the zipper along the zipper tape.

2. After the connected zipper teeth according to the present invention are colored with different colors, the zipper is sewed onto the zipper tape to prevent color from coming off from the colored surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The technical features of the method of manufacturing zippers according to the present invention can be demonstrated by the following preferred embodiment.

Please refer to FIG. 4 for the method of manufacturing zippers, which comprises the steps of:

(1) preparing metal zipper teeth 10 being made of a metal material, and a clipping end 11 having a through hole 110 disposed at one end of the zipper teeth 10 as shown in FIG. 5;

(2) connecting and fixing the clipping end 11 having the through hole 110 on each side of the zipper tooth 10 onto a fastening string 20 to form a series as shown in FIG. 6;

(3) coloring the zipper, wherein the connected series of zipper teeth 10 could be of the original color or colored (paint roasting or electroplated to different colors); and

(4) sewing onto the zipper tape 4, wherein the series of connected zipper teeth 10 could be sewed 41 onto the zipper tape 40 quickly to become the finished product (as depicted in FIGS. 7 and 8).

A specific distance is maintained between both sides of the zipper tooth 10 made by the foregoing method, and the fastening string 20 is used as a standard point to guide the sewing 41 onto the zipper tape 40.

Please refer to FIG. 9 for another preferred embodiment of the present invention. Each plastic steel zipper tooth 60 of the plastic steel zipper 6 is connected by a fastening string 61 for the formation, then the connected string of plastic steel zipper teeth 60 bases on the fastening string 61 of the connected plastic steel zipper teeth 60 as a standard point to quickly sew the zipper tape 62 (as shown in FIG. 10).

In summation to the description above, since the present invention adopts a fastening string to pass through each metal zipper tooth 10 to form a series of equidistant zipper teeth 10 without requiring plastic steel or metal zipper teeth which cannot be bent easily or can simplify be clipped on the zipper tape 40, the pulling force exerted on one side is not satisfactory and it is difficult to have a color change for the zipper.
