Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention is related to a cooling fan with fluid control device and particularly to a fan structure in which fluid passing through a frame member can be congregated to increase the amount of fluid at the rear side of a hub seat largely.

2. Brief Description of Related Art

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, Taiwanese Patent application No. 92209126 entitled AIR OUTLET CONTROL UNIT filed by the present inventor comprises a frame member and a fan 12 movably attached to the frame member 11. The frame member 11 has an inlet 111 and an outlet 112 available for the fluid entering and leaving and is provided with a hub seat 114 to be movably attached with the fan 12. The frame member 11 at the inner side thereof is formed with fluid control elements 113, which jut outward with an end part respectively. When the fan 12 rotates to allow the fluid flowing through the inlet 111 and the outlet 112, the fluid control elements 113 can change the flow of the fluid and increase radial pressure of the fluid such that the fluid can be congregated to increase the fluid flow at the center of the rear side of the hub seat 114. In this way, the stagnation area at the rear side of the hub seat 114 can be reduced to enhance heat dissipation efficiency.

However, although the preceding prior art can perform basic function of fluid flowing, it still has defects in dealing with congregating the fluid effectively.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENION

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a cooling fan with fluid control device in which a fluid guide part is provided to have a first through hole greater than a second through hole so as to increase the fluid flowing toward the center of the frame member while the fluid control elements in the frame member connects with the first and the second through holes for enhancing the heat dissipation efficiency.

The cooling fan with fluid control device according to the present invention comprises a fan blade assembly and a frame member. The frame member provides a hub seat movably attached with the fan blade assembly and formed with a plurality of fluid control elements at the inner side thereof to control radial pressure of fluid. The frame member at least has a fluid guide part with at least a joining part and a first through hole and a second through hole being connected to the fluid control elements and the first through hole being greater than the second through hole. When the fan blade assembly rotates to move the fluid, the fluid can flow toward the center of the frame member by way of the fluid control elements and the fluid guide part to increase the amount of the fluid at the rear side of the hub seat.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, a cooling fan with fluid control according to the present invention in the first preferred embodiment is illustrated. The cooling fan comprises a frame member 21 and a fan blade assembly 22. The frame 21 at the inner side thereof is formed with a plurality of fluid control elements 212 with each of the fluid control elements 212 jutting outward and having an end part. The fluid control elements 212 provided in the first embodiment are guiding blades to change radial pressure of the fluid such that the fluid can flow toward outer center of the frame member 21 without diffusing outward immediately. The end parts of the fluid control elements 212 is connected to a fluid guide part 213, which has a first through hole 2131 and a second through hole 2132, and the first through hole 2131 is greater than the second through hole 2132 to force the fluid flowing toward the center of the frame member 21. A hub seat 215 is provided in the frame member 21 and at least a joining part 214, which has a shape similar to the fluid control elements 212, is disposed at the periphery of the hub seat 215 to connect with the fluid guide part 231. The fan blade assembly 22 is movably attached to the hub seat 215 in the frame member 21.

Referring to FIG. 9, the fan blade assembly 22 rotates to drag the fluid flowing and the fluid passes through the fluid control elements 212 and the fluid guide part 213. The fluid passing through the fluid control elements 212 is controlled by the fluid control elements 212 and the radial pressure of the fluid becomes greater to flow toward rear side of the hub seat 215. The fluid passing through the fluid guide part 213 flows into the fan via the first through hole 2131 and flows out via the second through hole 2132. The fluid congregates and flows toward the frame member 21 and the rear side of the hub seat 215 after flowing out via the second though hole 2132 due to the first through hole 2131 being greater than the second through hole 2132. A large amount of fluid moves toward the center of the frame member 21 and the flow rate of the fluid at the rear side of the hub seat 215 increases to reduce the stagnation area at the rear side of the hub seat 215 tremendously. Hence, the heat dissipation efficiency can be enhanced effectively.

Referring to FIGS. 10 to 14, the second embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The entire structure and function are similar to the preceding embodiment so that no detail will be described further. The difference of the second embodiment from the first embodiment is in that the hub seat 315 of the frame member 21 provides a configuration slanting outward from the upper section to the lower section with a small upper section and a large lower part, such that the fluid can flow through the first through hole 2231 of the fluid guide part 213 and moves out via the second through hole 2232 toward rear center of the hub seat 315 of the frame member 21. In this way, the flow direction of the fluid can be controlled to increase the flow rate of the fluid at rear side of the hub seat 315 such that it can enhance the heat dissipation efficiency.

Referring to FIG. 15, it can be provided with another hub seat 415, which is shaped to diverge from the lower section to the upper section, and the hub seat 415 also can achieve the purpose that the fluid can be controlled to flow toward the rear side of the hub seat 415 of the frame member 21 to enhance the heat dissipation efficiency.

While the invention has been described with referencing to the preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
