Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a flexible plastic swimming pool which can be placed directly in a garden, more specifically, to a flexible plastic swimming pool having a continuous sidewall.

Conventional flexible plastic swimming pool consists of an inflatable ring, a sidewall, a connecting sheet and a base sheet with a welding connecting the sidewall and the connecting sheet positioned at the lower part of the pool. The base sheet is connected to the connecting sheet. After filled up with water, the pool bears the largest water pressure at the lower part of the pool, which causes the welding seams at the lower part of the pool be subjected to a great pull-force, in addition, there are many welding seams resulting from the connecting sheet in this kind of swimming pool, making not only the producing process complicated and the producing cost raised, but also possibility of water-leaking due to more welding seam increased.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art. In the present invention, the connecting sheet is eliminated to reduce the welding seam connecting the sidewall and the connecting sheet from whole welding seams, making the sidewall connected directly with the base sheet, hence, possibility of water-leaking from the welding seams after the pool is filled with water is greatly decreased because the welding seams at the lower part of the pool are reduced greatly.

The invention comprises in structure a pool wall, a base sheet and an inflatable ring, the pool wall being formed by connecting the sidewalls which are made of flexible PVC plastic material sheets and provided with a reinforcing net therein, the inflatable ring being mounted on the top of the pool wall to support the pool wall, characterized in that the sidewall is a continuous sidewall, that is, there is no welding seam in the vertical direction from the top, on which the inflatable ring is connected, to the bottom; the sidewall is connected directly with the base sheet through a welding seam; the pool wall is formed by connecting a plurality of continuous sidewalls at both sides of them with each other into a loop; the pool wall formed of the sidewalls connected into a loop is connected with the inflatable ring at its top to support the pool wall in a vertical direction; at least one notch of equilateral triangle is cut out in a lower edge of each continuous sidewall; and a sidewall bottom ring folding inwards which is formed by overlapping and bonding the material sheets of both sides of each notch of equilateral triangle is connected directly with the base sheet through a welding seam. The structure has the following advantages. Owing to the fact that water inside the flexible swimming pool applies the largest pressure to the pool wall at the lower-half portion of the pool, and water-leaking tends to occur at the welding seams where the material sheets are connected with each other, in the present invention, the welding seams at the lower part of the pool are reduced, so that the strength of the pool is increased and the probability of water-leaking is decreased greatly. The notches of equilateral triangle are formed in the parts where the sidewalls are connected with the base sheet, the material sheets of both sides of the notch are bonded through a welding seam and a reinforcing sheet is used to reinforce the welding seam. In this method, the positions of the welding seams are arranged at the bottom of the pool, so that a part of welding seams are pressed under the bottom of the pool and subjected to less lateral pull-force, meanwhile, the reinforcing sheets used make the welding seams not easy to be torn under the action of external force. This kind of swimming pool has simple structure, easy producing process, high producing efficiency and reliable quality.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a partial section view of structure of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of structure of the present invention;

FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B are schematic diagrams showing that notches of equilateral triangle are cut out on a side of the sidewall near the base sheet, and the material sheets of both sides of the notches are overlapped and bonded with reinforcing sheets bonded thereon; and

FIG. 4 is a partial section view of structure of swimming pool of the prior art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC EMBODIMENTS

The preferred embodiment of the present invention will be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the drawings of FIGS. 1-3B, 1 denotes base sheet, 2 denotes sidewall, 3 denotes inflatable ring, 4 denotes reinforcing sheet, 5 denotes the overlapped and bonded portion of material sheets of both sides of a notch of equilateral triangle, 6 denotes connecting sheet of the prior art.

Sidewalls 2 which are made of flexible PVC plastic material sheets and provided with a reinforcing net are connected at both sides of them with each other to form a pool wall. Inflatable ring 3 is mounted on top of the sidewalls which are connected to form the pool wall to support the pool wall. The sidewall 2 is a continuous sidewall, that is, there is no welding seam in the vertical direction from the top, on which the inflatable ring 3 is connected, to the bottom. The pool wall is formed by connecting a plurality of continuous sidewalls 2 at both sides of them with each other into a loop; the sidewalls 2 connected into a loop are connected with inflatable ring 3 at their top and connected with base sheet 1 directly. A plurality of notches of equilateral triangle are cut out in the lower edge of each continuous sidewall 2; the material sheets of both sides of each notch of equilateral triangle are overlapped and bonded. In order to protect the welding seam at a notch to prevent water-leaking, reinforcing sheet 4 is provided on top of portion 5 where the material sheets of both sides of a notch are overlapped and bonded, because the crossing portion of both sides of a notch are less overlapped when the material sheets of both sides are overlapped and welded. A sidewall bottom ring folding inwards which is formed at the lower edge of sidewall 2 is connected directly with base sheet 1 through a welding seam, meanwhile, the welding seams are arranged at the bottom of the pool to release pull-force in a horizontal direction to protect the welding seams. When being used, firstly, inflatable ring 3 is inflated with air and the pool is filled with water. When the pool is filled up with water, sidewalls 2 are pulled upwards in a vertical direction by the upward buoyant force of inflatable ring 3, which makes flexible sidewalls 2 erect and supports the pool wall in a vertical direction, so that the swimming pool is kept in a certain height.

The present invention is directed to provide an economic and reliable solution for outdoor above ground swimming pool. Water inside the flexible swimming pool applies the largest pressure to the pool wall at the lower-half portion of the pool, therefore, by reducing the welding seams apt to water-leaking relatively where the material sheets are connected with each other and arranging them under the bottom of the pool, the strength of the swimming pool can be increased and the probability of water-leaking is decreased greatly.
