Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to a leg support, and more particularly, to one that secure a garden lamp, a garden umbrella, a pole, or any other selected object provided with an insertion post.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

As illustrated in FIG. 8, a leg support of the prior art is provided to receive insertion a standing-alone garden lamp, solar street lamp, or any other object adapted with a post 10 such as a garden umbrella or a pole. The leg support is comprised of only a bracket 20 and a single leg 30. The leg support is buried in the ground with the bracket 20 exposed out of the ground and locked to the post 10. After a certain period of time, the post 10 gets easily inclined to compromise the view of the landscape or in serious case, the post 10 is collapsed or hurting pedestrian and/or vehicles nearby as a result of the weight, such as that of a lighting fixture, suspended from the post or due to that people tend to lean on the post.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a leg support that effectively prevents the post from being inclined or collapsed.

To achieve the purpose, the post of a selected object, e.g., a garden lamp comprised of a primary leg, a deck, a bracket, and one or a plurality of secondary leg. The secondary leg extends from where beneath the bracket to plant the support into the ground to firmly secure the post.

Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a leg support that is disposed with two screwed holes respectively on two opposite sides of the bracket. One fastener penetrates through a screwed hole to lock up the post and another fastener locks into the other screwed hole to hold against the post. In case that the post is inclined for cause whatsoever, it can be restored to its original vertical status by adjusting the fastener holding against the post

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a leg support of the present invention is essentially comprised of a primary leg 1, a deck 2, a bracket 3, and one or a plurality of secondary legs 4. Wherein, the primary leg 1 extends downward a tip in a shape of an awl and the tip is adapted with multiple reinforcement ribs.

The deck 2 located to the top end of the primary leg 1 laterally extends in a given size, and a protrusion 21 is provided on the deck at where in relation with the top of the primary leg 1 to facilitate the hammering of the leg support into the ground.

The bracket 3 disposed offset above the deck 2 receives the insertion of a post 51 from a selected object 5, i.e., a garden lamp as illustrated in FIG. 3; and on two opposite walls of the bracket 3 are respectively disposed with a screwed holes 31, 32.

As illustrated in FIGS. 4 through 7, the secondary leg 4 extends below the bracket 3 on the deck 2. Each secondary leg 4 is also provided with multiple reinforcement ribs and has an awl shaped tip. Unless provided with absolute necessity that the secondary leg 4 and the primary leg 1 are of the same length, the length and size of each secondary leg 4 are smaller than that of the primary leg 1.

All the primary leg 1, the deck 2, the bracket 3 and the secondary leg 4 are integrated in one piece or may be assembled by locking or welding means. The leg support is planted into the ground for the post 51 from the selected object 5 to inserted into the bracket 3, and then two fasteners 61, 62 respectively lock up both screwed holes 31, 32 dispose on the walls of the bracket 3 to firmly secure the post 51 as illustrated in FIG. 3.

It should be appreciated that the selected object 5 includes a solar street lamp, a garden umbrella, a flagpole or any other object adapted with a pole.

One screwed hole 31 is penetrated by the fastener 61 to lock up the post 51 of the selected object 5 so to secure the post 51 to the bracket 3. Meanwhile, another screwed hole 32 is also locked up but not penetrated by another fastener 62 thus to hold against the post 51. If the post 51 is inclined for cause whatsoever, by adjusting the fastener 62, the post 51 is restored to its original vertical status.

Now referring to FIGS. 4 through 7, an opening 33 is disposed on the deck 2 at the bottom of the bracket 3 to serve a drain to prevent accumulation of water.

To further improve the structure of the leg support, multiple reinforcement ribs are provided to the inner wall of the deck 2 or the bracket 3, or those screwed holes 31, 32.

The prevent invention provides an improved construction of a leg support. However, it is to be noted that that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limiting the present invention; and that any construction, installation, or characteristics that is same or similar to that of the present invention should fall within the scope of the purposes and claims of the present invention.
