Easily fixable roman blind

Abstract

An easily fixable Roman blind includes a blind body, an upper support member, a hanging rod and at least one movable hanger. The upper support member is fixed with the upper end of the blind body, and the hanging rod is fixed on a wall where the Roman blind is to be arranged. The movable hanger is fixed on the upper support member, hanging or taking the upper support member on or off the hanging rod, enabling the Roman blind installed or taken off with easiness and quickness.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a Roman blind, particularly to one provided with an upper support member to be hung on or taken off a hanging rod so as to enable the Roman blind fixed easily and quickly.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A conventional Roman blind generally has an upper support member fixed with an upper end of a blind body, a lower rod fixed with a lower end of the blind body, and plural ropes having lower ends connected with the lower rod and then extending through the backs of the bind body upward and the upper ends extending in the upper support member and then out of one end of the upper support member. Then a user can pull the ropes to push up or lower down the blind body to open or close it. Further, a support frame has to be fixed at two sides of a window where the Roman blind is to be applied for fixing Roman blind therein.

However, the upper support member and the support frame have to be combined with a complicated process, unable to let the conventional Roman blind fixed quickly or easily.

SUMMRY OF THE INVENTION

The easily fixable Roman blind in the invention includes a blind body, an upper support member, a hanging rod and at least one movable hanger. The upper support member is fixed with the upper end of the blind body for supporting it and the hanging rod is laterally fixed on a wall surface where the Roman blind to be arranged. The hanger is fixed on the upper support member for movably hanging the upper support member together with the blind body on the hanging rod. Thus the Roman blind can be fixed easily and quickly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

A first embodiment of an easily fixable Roman blind in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, includes a blind body 10, an upper support member 20, a hanging rod 30, and three movable hangers 40 as main components.

The blind body 10 is composed of a blind cloth 11, plural of lateral folded members 12 formed spaced apart equidistantly on the back of the blind cloth 11 from the upper side to the lower side, plural rope loops 13 attached spaced apart on each folded member 12, a pull rope 14 provided to have its lower end bound on the lower rod and then extend up to the upper side into the upper support member 20 and then exit out of one of its ends for a user to pull for handling the blind in closing and opening in various extents.

The upper support member 20 is fixed with an upper end of the blind cloth 11 of the blind body 10, a soft decorative sheet 21 made of cloth removably adhered on a rear side of the upper support member 20 and then extending upward to bend forward to cover the upper side of the hanging rod 30 and then drops down to hide the front side of the upper support member 20. The decorative sheet 21 is as wide as the upper support member 20, having a decorating function by hiding the hanging rod 30 and the upper support member 20 at the same time.

The hanging rod 30 is fixed securely and laterally on an the wall surface where the Roman blind is to be fixed on a window.

The three movable hangers 40 are hangers, having a connective end 41 fitting into the upper support member and engaging with a nut 42 to be secured tightly therein, and a hook end 43 for hanging on the hanging rod 30. The movable hangers 40 are also hidden by the decorative sheet 21, making the whole structure look clean and pretty.

Here, it is especially mentioned that as shown in FIG. 3, the movable hangers 40 are able to be fixed by having its connective end 41 fitted into the rear wall of the upper support member 20 from behind, so the decorative sheet 21 is also possible to be arranged to adhered on the rear wall of the upper support member 20 and then extending to the upper side and to the front side as described before.

In fixing the Roman blind in the invention, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, after the blind body 10 has been combined with the upper support member 20, the hanging rod 30 is to be fixed stably on a wall surface in advance, and then hanging the three hangers 40 already fixed with the upper support member 20 on the hanging rod 30 orderly is enough to finish the hanging process of the Roman blind, quite easily and quickly to operate.

Next, FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 show a second embodiment of a movable hangers 40, which is composed of a fixing ring 44 and a clamping member 45 connecting with the fixing ring 44.

The clamping member 45 has a clamping body 451 with two symmetrical a little curved portions pivotally connected with each other, and a handle 452 connected with and extending down from the pivot point of the clamping body 451, with a torque spring 453 sandwiched between two portions of the handle 452 for normally pushing outward the two portions of the handle 452 and tightening inward the clamping body 451 accordingly owing to the pivotal point.

If the two handles 452 are gripped inward, the clamping member 451 is pivotally moved outward to open upper portions 454 of the clamping member 451 so the hanging rod 30 may be inserted in the hollow interior of the clamping member 451. Then when the two handles 452 are released with the compressed torque spring expanding, the upper portions 454 of the clamping member 451 may be closed inward by means of the recovered elasticity of the torque spring 453, clamping tightly the hanging rod 30 therein. At the same time, there is a flexible string 455 provided between the lower ends of the handles 452 and the fixing ring 44, securing stably the clamping member 45 with the upper support member 30.

Further, as shown in FIG. 6, when the upper support member 20 is hung securely in place on the hanging rod 30 by means of the hangers 40 fixed on the hanging rod 30, the decorative sheet 21 adhered on the front side of the upper support member 20 can hide the hangers 40, the hanging rod 30 and the upper support member 20 altogether, making the whole appearance of the Roman blind neat and pretty. Moreover, a user can remove the clamping member 451 off the hanging rod 30 by reversing the fixing process described above to take the Roman blind off the hanging rod easily and quickly.

Further, FIGS. 7 and 8 show a third embodiment of a hanger 40, which is a fixing rope 40 having one of its ends fixed on the upper support member 20, and the other end connected with a fixing rope bound on the hanging rod 30. The fixing rope 40 has a bigger end 46 than the rope itself, and the other end formed with two free ends 461 for binding on the hanging rod 30. Besides, as shown in FIG. 9, the two free ends 461 can be substituted by a hook 462 fixed on one of the ends 461 and a ring 463 fixed on the other end 461 for hooking with each other for hanging on the hanging rod 30.

Moreover, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, the fixing rope 40 can be a rope with a proper length, having two free ends 461 respectively provided with a hook 464, and the upper support member 20 is provided with plural fixing rings 465 fixed on its upper surface, so the fixing rope 40 may be secured by the hooks 464 hooking with two outermost rings 465, and also passing through the intermediate rings 465 and further around on the hanging rod 30 for positioning the Roman blind easily and quickly as well. By taking the fixing process reversely, a user can remove the Roman blind off the fixing rod also simply.

Finally, FIGS. 12 and 13 show a fourth embodiment of a hanger 40, which is composed of a soft connective member 47 and an elastic constrictor 48. The connective member 47 can be the soft decorative sheet 21 in the first embodiment, having one end fixed on the front side of the upper support member 20 and extending upward to surround the hanging rod 30 and having the other end formed with a thick engage edge 471 just located at the front lower section of the hanging rod 30. The elastic constrictor 48 is shaped as a C-shaped tube, having an circular hollow 481 and an opening 482 so that the hanging rod 30 with the combinative member 47 may be inserted and kept elastically tightly in the hollow interior 481 of the elastic constrictor 48, with the thick engage edge 471 contacting tensely the opening 482. Therefore, the upper support member 20 can be hung with the hanging rod 30 with easiness and quickness. By reversing the fixing process, a user can easily and quickly take the Roman blind off the hanging rod 30 with convenience.

As can be seen from the foresaid description, this invention has the following advantages.

1. It can use common blind rods as the hanging rod 30 without need of using the traditional support frame, and the movable hangers 40 can directly hang the upper support frame 20 and the blind body 10 on the hanging rod 30 without necessity of taking off the hanging rod 30 at first, easily and quickly fixing or taking off this Roman blind.

2. Various kinds of soft decorative sheets 21 matching with the upper support member 20 can be used to hide the movable hangers 40 and the substantial portion of the hanging rod 30 to function as a kind of decoration, enabling the whole appearance of the Roman blind look neat and pretty.

3. The soft decorative sheet 21 can be removably adhered by something like Velcro bands for convenience of washing, changeable to one of different color, design and pattern according to needs, and possible to be adhered to different positions.

4. There are various embodiments of movable hangers 40 for users to choose, and they are all easily and quickly fixable and removable.

While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. An easily fixable Roman blind comprising:

A blind body:

An upper support member fixed with an upper end of said blind body:

A hanging rod fixed securely on a wall surface where said Roman blind is to be fixed: and,

At least one movable hanger fixed on a preset location of said upper support member for hanging or taking said upper support member on or off said hanging rod.

2. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 1, wherein said movable hanger is a hook composed of a connective member formed at one end and a hook member formed at the other end, said connective member connected with a proper location of said upper support member, and said hook member hanging on said hanging rod.

3. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 2, wherein said connective member of said hook is a threaded member extending in said upper support member and then engaging with a nut so as to be fixed therein.

4. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 2, wherein said connective member of said hook is inserted in a vertical sidewall of said upper support member.

5. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 1, wherein said movable hanger has a fixing ring fixed with said upper support member and a clamping member connected with said fixing ring for movably clamping said hanging rod.

The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 5, wherein said clamping member has two, one being the right and the other being the left, curved clamping bodies pivotally connected with each other, two curved handles extending down from the pivot point of said two clamping bodies, a torque spring sandwiched between said two handles to push elastically and normally outward said two handles, said two curved clamping bodies formed a gap between the two upper ends, said gap being expanded outward or shrunk inward when said two handles are gripped and pushed inward to compress said torque spring, a flexible string connected between lower ends of said handles and said fixing rings for securing a fixing member.

7. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 1, wherein said movable hanger has one of its two ends fixed on said upper support member, and the other end connected with a fixing rope provided on said hanging rod by a proper means.

8. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 7, wherein said fixing rope has one end with a bigger edge than said rope itself and extending and fixed in said upper support member, and the other end formed with two free ends for binding on said hanging rod.

9. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 7, wherein said fixing rope has one end with a bigger edge extending and fixed in said upper support member, and the other end formed with two free ends, which respectively have a hook and a ring for hooking with each other.

The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 7, wherein said fixing rope has two ends respectively fixed with a hook, said upper support member is provided with plural fixing rings on its upper surface, and the intermediate fixing rings are for said fixing rope to pass through and the two outermost fixing rings for binding with two ends of said fixing rope for hanging said upper support member on said hanging rod.

The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 1, wherein said movable hanger further has a soft connecting strip and an elastic constrictor, said soft connecting strip has one end fixed on a preset location of said upper support member, the other end covering on said hanging rod and secured stably by means of said elastic constrictor.

The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 11, wherein said elastic constrictor is shaped as a C-shaped tube, having a hollow circular interior and a gap for said hanging rod with said connective member inserted through to be received in the hollow interior and kept secured therein by means of said thick edge of the connective strip and two thick edges of said constrictor.

13. The easily fixable Roman blind as claimed in claim 1, wherein a soft decorative sheet is provided to cover said upper support member, said hanging rod, and said movable hanger.
