Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a collapsible umbrella, which will be obviously flat with a small volume for being received in a handbag of users easily.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A collapsible umbrella is designed to decrease its closing volume for people to carry more conveniently. One of the collapsible umbrellas has a flat structure when the umbrella is closed that will be easily received in a handbag or a briefcase. As shown in FIG. 1, it discloses a traditional flat umbrella including an upper joint (1) and a runner (2), both of which are provided with a related connector (11), (21) for connecting with a branch rib (31) and a first rib (32) of the frame (3) respectively. Referring to FIG. 2, it shows another traditional flat umbrella, which provides a smaller joint (12) under the upper joint (1) and provides a smaller nest (22) on the runner (2) for connecting with related ribs of the frame (3), wherein two metal wires (4) are necessary. Both traditional flat umbrellas are complicated trouble when they are manufactured. The ribs of the frame will be still in conflict with each other when the umbrella is closed and the volume of the closed umbrella is somehow large.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is to provide a super flat umbrella, which includes an invented frame, which can decrease the volume of a closed umbrella to become a flat one for easy carrying. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please refer to FIG. 3 first; the present invention relates to a super flat umbrella, which includes a shaft (5) connecting with an upper joint (1) and a sliding runner (2) around. A frame (3) has a first rib (32) connecting with the upper joint (1) and has a branch rib (31) with the runner (2). The character of the present invention is that the upper joint (1) includes a convex portion (13) on both sides, which provides different planes. Hence, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when the umbrella is closed, the frame (3) has the frames being positioned regularly in triangle state, wherein the central frame (3) and the side frames (3′) are not in the same plane that no conflict will happen and the umbrella will be kept in absolutely flat manner. The umbrella can provide a normal use as shown in FIG. 6 when it is opened.

Referring to FIG. 7 to 9, it discloses a modified embodiment of the present invention. It provides a cover plate (6) with two convex portions (61) on both sides on the upper joint (1), wherein the two convex portions (61) are in a similar function as the portions (13) of the joint (1) in previous embodiment. The central frame (3) will be positioned outward by the convex portions (61) and the side frames (3′) are kept beside the shaft (5) for prevent from conflict.

Such as shown in FIG. 10 to 13, it is another modified embodiment of the present invention, wherein the central frame (3) has a branch rib (31) with a projection (311). When the umbrella is closed, a connector (34) of the second rib (33) will be positioned by the projection (311). Accordingly, the central frame (3) and the side frames (3′) are in triangle state without conflict while the closed umbrella will be super flat with small volume.

Moreover, it can be found that only one metal wire (4) is necessary to connect the ribs with the joint or the runner in all above-mentioned embodiments according to the present invention. It is economic in time and cost when manufacturing the umbrella.

In above description, they are only examples to illustrate our embodiment and are not to limit the scope of this application. Any modified embodiments with similar merits will be also claimed according to the present invention.

Claims

1. A super flat umbrella including a shaft, an upper joint, a sliding runner, and frames, which is characterized in that the upper joint includes a convex portion on both sides having different planes; when the umbrella is closed, the frame having the frames being positioned regularly in triangle state, wherein the central frame and the side frames are not in the same plane and no conflict will happen to keep the umbrella in absolutely flat manner.

2. The super flat umbrella as claimed in claim 1, wherein a cover plate is provided on the upper joint and the cover plate has two side convex portions.

3. The super flat umbrella as claimed in claim 1, when the umbrella is closed, a central frame has a branch rib with a projection to position a connector of the second rib outward to keep the central frame away from the side frames.
